Bernadette would move outside of her den early in the morning. It was cold, the brisk temperature making her feel a bit lethargic. But that was no good! The woman had to move. She would feel her body shiver slightly as she felt the snow underpaw. This was her birth season. “Welcome home, mister snow.” The femme would whisper, her voice gentle. She would wear a slight smile. Bodice would pull away from the den, going deeper into Yfir lands.

Perhaps she ought to find a sparring partner, or perhaps someone who would do well with a hunt. A small hunt could never hurt and well, spars were never out of place. The one against the woman, Birna, had been a wonderful one. Now if only she could discover that strength among her packmates she’d truly be happy. She didn’t doubt it was there, it was just going to take a little coaxing to bring it out.

With Laufey providing almost exclusively for her Neith had little reason to leave the den, while this was good for watching her new little one her spirit was feeling awfully cramped. So when Laufey offered to watch their growing daughter for a little while she snapped up the chance to leave the den. Even if it was just to be the one to get breakfast that morning. She felt stiff from lingering in the den for so long, her fur was getting messy and she hadn't taken a piss with out Laufey being able to see since before the child's existence. Solitude was incredible. The silence of the forest filled her and she might have been able to stay away from the den all day.

Her steady trot and wandering thoughts were interrupted by the sound of another's voice. Neith hadn't exactly been incredibly social yet, but it seemed like now was as good a time as any. A moment away from the two wolves she did know might as well meet another. She'd shift her path, aiming to intercept this woman deeper in the forest. She'd catch a glimpse of her form, a sleek black coat with a vibrant belly that Neith couldn't say she didn't envy. The silver touched woman would call out, seeking the other's attention. "Hello there, may I bother you for a moment?"

The walk alone was almost peaceful. The crunching of snow was relaxing, and Bernadette found herself smirking as she padded along. She needed to know more of Yfir, both the lands and the wolves here. Hare was the only one she had met prior and well, that was outside of the lands. Perhaps what she craved was adventure? Action? Bernadette wasn’t sure. She just felt restless. The fight training had made her feel so... Alive. But Berny wanted more Something more fulfilling. Whether it was a fight or an adventure, even a conversation, she didn’t care. She just needed to be active.

A voice would intrude her solitude, as well as the crunching of snow. Ears would swivel, head would turn, and Bernadette would find herself looking towards a rather beautiful young woman. The touch of silver was nice, and her eyes were such a lovely shade. Berny would turn towards her, dipping her head. “For a packmate I have all the time in the world. What can I help you with?” The scent upon the femme’s coat was clear as day that she belonged in Yfir, and her posture wasn’t one of a slave, though Bernadette had noticed there was someone in such a rank. The only question was... Where would this meeting lead?

Neith would gather the attention of her packmate rather quickly, the red marked woman's features turning easily as she brought Neith into her sights. The new mother would smile softly and nod in greeting. There was no hesitation in the other's easy acceptance of help. Neith was slightly surprised at the willingness, but unable to complain all the same. "Hi, I was actually looking for a hunting partner." It was her turn to get breakfast and she was going to show laufey how it was done. They wouldn't be eating snow hare today. "I'm Neith Moria, Laufey's.. um Friðla." She still had trouble pronouncing her rank, and many of the other strange words that were used around here but she was slowly learning. She was proud of her rank, belonging to Laufey was a source of honor.

A hunting partner huh? Now there was an idea. Bernadette could feel a slight stirring in her stomach, a pang of hunger, at the mere mention of the task. Breakfast sounded good about now, and if they worked together they could surely bring down a meal big enough for themselves and then some. What their potential prey might be this morning she wasn’t sure, but goose and hare definitely was off the menu. Something bigger, meatier, was taking the place instead and she honestly couldn’t complain.

“A pleasure, Neither. Call me Joker, a mere Karl of the pack at the moment.” The femme would let out a soft chuckle. “But there is time yet to become more active within Yfir, no?” She couldn’t remember offhand what Neith’s rank necessarily meant for her place in the pack. But knowing she was Laufey’s was enough of a warning for Bernadette to mind her manners.

“What did you have in mind for some potential prey?” Bernadette would ask, her bi-colored hues lingering on purple ones.

This she wolf seemed just as eager as herself for a bite to eat that morning. While she didn't have a particular goal in mind she would have liked to get some food for her and her partner as well as bring a meal back for her daughter and the girl's father. Her attention would linger on the red marked woman, as she was told to call her 'joker.' While Neith thought the nickname slightly odd she wouldn't show it, with a nod she would accept the name as well as the mention of activity. Their conversation wouldn't linger on her rank but instead would naturally slow to the task at hand. Hunting for the pack. "With just the two of us we shouldn't go too big.." she'd start as Neith thought about what they could target. "Maybe the mountain sheep have left the cliff tops." She didn't enjoy climbing too high to get a taste of mountain goat meat, sometimes they strayed lower in the valleys when the storms became too rough. When they were closer to sea level they were easier to catch, versus being on the dangerous cliffs and precipices of the mountain.

There was no mention of the oddity that was her nickname and for that Bernadette was grateful. Their conversation flowed naturally to the task at hand and didn’t stray. Bernie was already liking Neith -- she was to the point. While there was a time and place for fun hunting had to be one of the matters that was more serious. At least if you actually wanted to catch your prey. The femme’s gaze was thoughtful as she glanced towards the valleys of their home. She wasn’t particularly fond of the idea of climbing to hunt, so she was hoping that they had strayed closer to sea level as well.

“We can at least hope so, aye? Lets go have a look about and see what we find.” The target would be plenty for the two of them, plus the family that the woman had to tend to. Bernadette would set off at a casual pace, ears perked and eyes scanning the terra before her. Today they were dining on goat; her heart was set on it.
