The house that Built Me

What had happened to him? Why had had he ever ran away from home. There had been nothing better out there in the cold world, but loneliness and heartache. The warmth and the company he missed dearly made him want to go home. He wanted his family, his parents, and the pack. It made the young male want to whine when he thought about it. He had let himself belly ache for a few days before he had begun his adventure, trying to trace his steps back home. It had been a few months since he was home and his memory felt fuzzy as to where it was, so he felt he needed to ask a stranger, but none would be around.
For days he trailed from the north and ventured into the east lands. The east he ran into problems, the major flooding made the man confused and backtrack. He had to take many different and new trails to get around the flooding and after a couple of weeks he entered the lands of the South. He had to stop and find some others and question about his family, the pack. Then onto the west and the south. Nothing seemed familiar and he felt lost. Backtracking the male traveled back north and started to trail all through the northern territory, hunting and searching for familiar sights and smells. When he felt that everything was lost and that he would never find home, a small glitter of hope opened his eyes. Something tug him onto the ice and without much time he stood before the large ship that he was born on. Happiness flooded into his veins and made his skin crawl. Tail wagged rapidly before he darted towards the ship, boarded and began his search. Although it was soon known that everyone was long gone.
The last shred of hope had failed and he laid down in one of the rooms and sighed wondering what in the world he could do now.
