The man had come to the river to see if he could catch some fish. He knew from the moment he made the decision to come that the river may be to dangerous for a wolf to fish. All the melted snow had flooded lakes, rivers and ponds alike. Add all the spring rain and that made the waters of Alacritice treacherous. Ravine's arival only told him what he'd guessed at. No fish today.

On the bright side he could lay in the grass several yards from the waters edge and relax. The river wasn't rising at the moment and there were no storm clouds in sight so he didnt have to worry about getting caught in the deathtrap should he fall asleep.  His pack had been reduced to almost nothing because of the fast shift of alphas as of late, time away would do him good.

He was without a home. A place to go back to. A loner’s life could be potentially treacherous and while Einarr did not regret his decision. He would not denounce his ties to his mother, abandon his loyalties to her. Einarr would travel in the south, stubborn pride keeping him from going to his mother’s pack. He would not trouble her with the news of his choice. Valentine had given him an ultimatum... There was nothing that could be done for it.

Einarr would be surprised, however, to find a familiar scent as he traveled along the Rio Grande. The scent of his step father. He would give a soft sigh, deciding that since he was close by the least he could do was stop by and see if he was alright. The combined actions of his mother and step father had been enough to worry him... He did want to make sure they were okay. He just wanted to avoid that pack of theirs.

Einarr would find the man laying in the grass by the river. He would clear his throat, not wanting to startle the man, but at the same time alert him to his presence. “Hey.”

Ravine had been looking out over the river, in an attempt to calm his mind, when another would clear their throat somewhere behind him. As he turned his head to see who it was that stood behind him a smile would spread across his features at his step son who spoke a small greeting. Though the dark man's smile didnt last long, he was glad to Einarr.

The joy in seeing his step son would have increased at the fact that Valentine hadnt physically punished the boy. Well, not the the man could see anyway. But he couldnt get away from the feeling that he amd Akemi had caused some kind of trouble for the boy. It had been quite some time ago, the fact was he and Akemi never should have been anything more than spectators. Hell Ravine would have stayed that way had he not felt the need to butt in when he had.

"Hey, Einarr" he would give a greating of his own as he sat up to face the other wolf. "Sorry we didn't really have much of a chance to catch up last time we saw one another.... his words would trail off because that wasnt all he was sorry for, but he didnt want to make Einarr mad all over again if he'd even been mad in the first place.
