The sun was rising, but of course the small bundle of fluff was up before then. The gray based girl with appaloosa spots practically rolled out of the den at dawn and went off to explore territory. Her paws bigger than herself made the curious girl trip every now and then. Until she reached the end of the hot water. She was wary enough to keep her distance, but her nose just dug into that scent so easily. Her small tail wagging back and forth, she turned around for a moment to see if any of her siblings were there. Maybe she could dare one of them to go into the water - perhaps pushing them for a bit of fun would be a good idea. Though she'd never do it if she knew that their life would be in danger. "Come on someone play with me." she laughed jumping up and down a bit.

They hadn't been out of the den long, but already Elias had been lost more than a couple of times as he struggled to learn the territory. He didn't mind though, the calm pup would just sit down and wait for one of his parents to stumble on him. Sometimes he'd come towards their voices when they called to him, but that was only when he'd been lost for a long time. He'd been doing better, especially when he followed after one of his siblings. This morning, it happened to be Heather. He'd scurry out of the den after her, having been woken up by her stirring. Elias wanted to know where she was going, and eventually he'd find her at the edge of the hot springs. He hadn't gotten lost here yet, mostly he avoided the warm water. Curiously he'd appear from the forest that protected the fountain like structure. "Het'er what doin?" He'd ask softly, unable to keep the curiosity from his voice. Just as curious about what she was doing as what she wanted to play, and why she chose this place for that. ""

The unlucky victim to fall into her grasp would be her brother. Heather smiled as her tail wiggled enough for her hind quarters to be making the same motion. Elias asked her what she was doing and that would be easy enough to answer. "Exploring of course, I wanna see what this water does." she said looking back towards the water. She could see her reflection in it, blue eyes reflecting off the warm water. When she got closer to it her nose got all sweaty making her shake her head uncomfortably. "Do you know why it's warm like that Elias?" she asked tilting her head off to the side. She really wanted to know, then again Heather wanted to know everything. There was so much to learn, there was a lot of things she didn't know! One day she wanted to be as smart as her mother and father.
