Humidity clung to her pipes, soaking her lungs and causing a weight to swell within her chest. Beads of water broke free of the earth?s surface as she paced, soaking her toes and leaving shallow imprints in the sponged facade; an obscure narrative of her presence that would gradually fade over time. The nauseating odour of baking bacteria invaded her nostrils, a sensation of pleasure tickling her intellect as she glanced across the algae-ridden swamp waters. Areas of the swamp bubbled with glue-like mud pools, tepid and writhing with microorganisms; taunting her too take the dare, to push her body through its irresolute depths at challenging speeds. Would she make it effortlessly to safety, or would her body be swallowed by a world of obscurity; trapped forever in a painfully slow death as mind and flesh was drowned mercilessly by the tangles of nature. It taunted her, begged her, and excited her. Though it only took moments for the young adult to realise she wasn?t alone, skull rising to test the air curiously as the scent of company rattled her senses.

paws squished softly in the mud as it covered what was left on the white on the bottom of his pads. Every so often an ear would swivel to take in the sounds of the swampland. The man inhaled deeply taking in the muggy air before wrinkling his nose. This wasn't the preferred place to be, but it seemed necessary to travel it at least once. At least to get to his intended destination. Wherever that was.

It seemed a tedious process, placing one paw down before the other at a snails pace. He had no intentions of letting the muck grab a hold of his thick bodice just to suck him down under. Once captured by it there was hardly any hope of return. Get pulled down until your head was underneath you'd be suffocated and your remains would probably never be found, preserved under layers upon layers of oozing brown muck.

The scent of another made itself known through the muck and the grime and the scent of decaying organisms. Nostrils expanded as he took in the feminine scent and ears flicked forward trying to catch any sounds of her. His hulking form moved forward towards where her scent emanated and soon he found her. He stopped, head high, tail relaxed and studied her for a moment. She seemed to have all of the feminine curves that all females seemed to desire, and her coat seemed to be more earthen tones, even more so than his own chocolate form. Pale green eyes topped it all off. The complete opposite of his own.

He remained silent before it hit him. Didn't most wolves find this awkward? What did they call it? Etiquette? Something about it being proper to introduce oneself. Regardless of that, he was already failing.

"Sasori Nara."

The Greek accent rolled freely from his tongue, yet was not enough to effect his words. He'd gotten quite good at english and could easily switch between the two. He doubted many understood his language though. It seemed as though Greek would not be used on this island.

The beast?s frame was etched with curious pallid and burning auburn, his cerulean gaze contrasting with the opaque markings that enveloped his curious stare. Mild curiosity threatened to cease her mind, though it was hurriedly forced away by the blooming adult?s carelessness to socialize. Just another aimless personality attempting to cause a virtual suicide of the female?s mind? No doubt. Though his nature didn?t seem to bubble with the painfully cheerful air as so many she had met in the past, he kept his distance and despite an almost aloofness, he introduced himself with trained self-collection. The doe had never been one to care for names, and so didn?t bother to return the favour, instead memorizing the beast by his scent and unique appearance. ?Before you get carried away, I don?t fancy much for aimless conversation or identity exchange,? feminine fa?ade was kissed only by lack of emotion, towers flicking backwards as skull raised in an apparent defence. ?Your outlandish tongue isn?t one I?m familiar with,? a statement, kissed only lightly by the suggestion of dim curiosity. She wouldn?t make her interest too apparent, careless for his reply though hoping to reveal his origin.

?Before you get carried away, I don?t fancy much for aimless conversation or identity exchange,?

So she didn't care for such pleasantries most did. That was already a promising sign. He was merely trying to conform to what most thought was proper. He himself didn't care for such things, but when it came to appeasing the crowd so he wouldn't have an angry mob after him.... well he would do so. He had no intentions of having to deal with a pissed off female, much less get called rude and be insulted by one in heat. She seemed to be much different though. Perhaps this would go better than expected.

"Ah so you're not like the majority of this species. Seems as though I can throw all the other pleasantries I was preparing to use down the drain."

The brute snorted displaying his obvious disregard to what most considered formal introductions. It was quite clear that he wasn't fond of them and was only doing it for her sake. It was quite appreciated that she wasn't fond of them either. She hadn't given him a name and Sasori could live with it. Already Glacial eyes had memorized her fur pattern, her eyes, the way she acted, carried herself, her scent, and her voice. She too would not be forgotten. Thus was the way he worked. Perfection was the only goal. He would make no mistakes.

Her half-assed inquiry about his origins was almost amusing. Almost. A part of him wondered if he should even bother telling her. She was obviously somewhat curious, even though she wouldn't openly display it, and she had not given him a name. Why should he return the favor and tell her his accent. Shoulders rolled as he made his decision. One word. One word only would describe it.

"Greek."

Perhaps this peculiarly marked beast wasn?t as ?standard? as she had expected, his stance and air barely flinching as she allowed forth the blunted reality. He seemed at peace with her honesty, and for a brief moment Eos was sure she saw a faint glimmer of relief; his turquoise gaze held unwaveringly to her own. His next words mildly impressed her, skull rising with the faintest suggestion of satisfaction at his realisation. She?d like to think she had better things to do with her time than vomit flowery lies between strangers, it was painful the way most she met held so much false care for her name or where she came from, hell what on earth did they do with their pitiful lives? ?Ah, a brute with some brains, fabulous,? she drawled out the last syllable, playing lightly on mild sarcasm; features still void of potent expression.

His response to her previous question was enough to suggest the pair would likely get along much better than the fae would have originally expected- short, sweet and to the point; This ?Sasori? may actually be worth a few heartless moments of her time. What a rarity. Her weight shifted as she regarded his response with a mild curiosity, his origin had ties to her family name. ?I?m mostly unfamiliar with the origin, although I?ve been told my mother named me after a goddess of Greek source; Eos,? feminine tones left her lips with slightly more enthusiasm this time, curious to know if he?d be familiar with her calling.
