Rivaxorus lifted his head to smell this place, seeing as it had rained recently. The plain's grass was moist, filled with the dropletts of the day previous. Well the yearling had just been glad he hadn't been caught in the moment that this rain came here. Not that he didn't like the rain, it just made him cold - something he'd rather avoid dealing with. The wetness underneath his paws felt nice, he couldn't help but to smile a bit. His mind wondering about what Zephyra was doing at the moment. Though catching himself thinking about her he coughed silently ears twitching. Now was not the time to be thinking about that. He was trying to find potential future homes.

His tail swayed behind him as he continued to explore. Finding any point of prey and potential den area's. That was always important - he was no navigator but he found himself always searching for new lands. After all, with this large world that they lived in. It was a never ending journey of new sights and sounds not to mention smells. While some scents he could avoid having, that was also part of life.

Walk | Talk  | Think

She was off on a hunt again. Not for food - Sunshine did a good job of taking care of that - but for a wolf. A sibling, specifically. With the wedding date nearing, Gale had been enlisted to spread the news about the momentous event and bring in welcome guests. Including one Mister Grumpy McStormcloud. With as much information to go off of as she had on her last missing persons quest, the Aertus started a little closer to home and began to spread out, journeying through territory after territory in a search for her absent brother. There was no telling where he had ended up, which left every possible avenue open to investigation.

The east had proved fruitful during her last investigation, and so she set off in that direction first along the coastline. She had taken a moment to admire from afar the still flooded Obsidian Beach and hoped by the time she returned that it would be clear and ready for moving back into. She missed the communal family den and the sparkling obsidian shoreline. Not to mention the clear ocean breezes. They were present now in this place, this brackish section of the beach, and Gale tilted her head as she reveled in the springtime wind. It was nice here, nice enough to get her to return for a run one day, but there was no need to keep looking upon the shoreline; it was empty as far as she could see.

Turning inland, she traveled upward along the coast, seeking the plain that jutted up against the shoreline. It took a little bit of walking, but eventually she spotted another figure there. He was tall, seemingly naturally colored, and still young from the lanky, youthful look he had. Gale's head tilted to the side slightly as she momentarily considered and then struck out for the individual with a quiet woof just to get his attention. Her tail wagged and her smile was easy as she approached, and not recognizing her present company, she called out, "Hey, could you help me? I'm looking for someone."

Rivaxorus almost wouldn't have recognized the woman if it hadn't been for her obvious coloring. At first he was about to answer her call about trying to find someone, blinking he looked towards her to collect his thoughts. It was hard to forget markings like that, it made him hide a laugh which never came out as he smiled friendly towards her. Though he doubted she remembered him, he was but a pup lost and trying to find his way home back then. When he used to sleep walk - the memory was almost painful because it reminded him of his mother.

"I can certainly try Ma'm." his tail wagged a little bit as his two different colored eyes looked at her. He dropped his stance slightly so that he would be at eye level for a moment as he stretched himself out. "Do you..remember me?" Rivaxorus started. "Your gale right? When I was only a few months old I got lost around here and you helped me home. My name's Rivaxorus Adravendi." He was also hoping that he could help her with whomever she was looking for. He knew the feeling of losing someone when he had been looking for his brother.

Walk | Talk  | Think

Oh good, a friendly one, Gale thought with relief. The moment the wolf looked in her direction, he smiled, and she quickly jumped to the conclusion that he would be willing to answer her questions. It was good luck, all things considered, though given her brothers record for hiding it was still unlikely that she would receive good news. Quit being so pessimistic, she scolded herself, you've done this once already, you can find your brother too.

She drew nearer and slowed to a stop as the tall wolf agreed to help her, and delighted by his answer, Gale replied back in a peppy tone, "That's what I wanted to hear." But even as she opened her mouth to start offering a description, maybe even characteristics of Arcus, something about the way the wolf looked at her struck her as...odd. He stared at her intently, curiously, and as she hesitated with her answer she realized why. He knew her, had met her once upon a time when he had sleep walked all the way practically to Donostrea's border.

At first, Gale was skeptical, and it showed in the narrowed set of her eyes and the disbelieving curve of her lips. But as she eyed him, noting the spot around his eye and the mismatched colors those eyes sported, she was forced to admit he spoke truth. "No way," she stated with obvious surprise. "But," she remarked, lifting a paw and holding it out a short distance above the ground, "you were only this big when I found you." And he was most certainly not that height now. She actually had to look up in order to meet his gaze, at least when he was not lowering himself to her level.

The news clearly stunned her, but with a gentle shake of her head, the grey and lavender wolf tried to clear her thoughts. "Well it's...good to see you've grown," Gale added, feeling suddenly awkward and more aware of her age than before. And because she hated being aware of it, she quirked one corner of her lips into a smirk and teased the not-so-little kid because she could, "You're not lost again, are you?"

Rivaxorus let out a soft laugh with her surprise. She was the first to make the comment though, no one really guessed he wouldn't be this big. Since he had been bigger than all his siblings - and according to his mother the gene for big wolves ran in her side of the family. Gales was rather adorable herself, making him smile. It made him happy, something he hadn't felt in a little while. However she asked if he was lost again, he almost made a look like he was offended before smiling again to answer. "Sometimes I wish I was lost just to run into someone like you." he teased slightly. "Anyway, you were looking for someone? I travel a lot so it wouldn't be a surprise if I saw them or are going to see them. And.... I know how it feels to lose someone." his mind wandered off to his brother who was still missing.

He was going to try and help the best he could, and for Gale that was even more so. He didn't want to sound stupid, he had only met her when he was but a scared pup. He was rather embarrassed by that, and it also made him painfully aware of himself getting older. He only imagined how everyone else felt, his mother was gone. He had left the confines of his home and joined his uncle and now he was on a mission to grow himself and become a leader.

Aw, the charmer. Despite her momentary lapse in feeling her age, Gale almost immediately brightened at the compliment. She was worth meeting. Well, she liked to think so too sometimes, but lately she had been too caught up in other things to give it thought. She was different, unique, and not simply because of her unusual coloration. She had left impressions on nearly every wolf that she came across, including this one who had gone from pup to giant what felt like overnight - was it really a year ago? Either way, it did seem like a nice reminder for her to venture around every once in a while, leave a few more impressions while she could.

He must have grown into a pretty decent guy because he offered to assist her in her search. While Gale appreciated the offer, she truly hoped to be the one to spot her brother first. It would likely only piss him off to know they had others scouring the lands for him too. "Maybe you've seen him," she supposed, swaying a little in place as she thought about it. "He's kind of tall - normal tall," she corrected - he was no giant like this kid - "got these stunning blue eyes. Grey mostly, but dark and brooding. Basically a walking storm cloud." Was that specific enough? She felt somehow that it was too broad, would not be enough to pick Arcus out from a crowd. But that was his super power, she supposed: disappearing and staying invisible.

If it was anything he was glad he could make someone's day. Rivaxorus' tail twitched a bit though when she spoke of a description. He knew it wasn't the best to ask someone else to looked for a loved one but what she gave was very.... vague. He concealed a bit of his confusion he would handle this fairly easy as he could. So this wolf was probably of average male height, he kept that in mind. Dark stormy eyes, did he look any oddly like her? Not that he ever considered it odd anymore, there were many strange colors and markings in alacritia. She was indeed a very curious one.

"What about his pelt, does he look anything like you?" he asked taking note of the features that she had already given to him. Rivaxorus was only starting to learn that his memory was very good. He could probably remember most of everything his family said a month ago from stupid things. He ignored his own train of thought to bring his attention back towards Gale.

Walk | Talk  | Think

The question Rivaxorus asked was by all means a good one, even necessary given the nature of the inquiry, but rather than answer right away Gale laughed somewhat guiltily. "Not exactly," she admitted. How did she explain the peculiar condition of her family, of how their unique coloration was really all that united and separated them from all the other wolves out there? How did she tie in those few who did not deviate from the norm and were unique simply by being an Elementas, even if their identifying gene was not apparent at first glance? She had never really thought of it before, how some of them were marked blatantly by bright, exotic shades, and how others were colored simply if not naturally. It was all very peculiar.

"He's actually pretty normal looking, not brightly colored like me," Gale answered at length, struggling as she tried to describe her missing sibling. "He's grey, mostly dark grey. He's got some light marking around his eyes, draws attention to them, but overall... He really is a storm cloud." She shrugged her shoulders in a helpless sort of gesture. It was much harder being on this end of the missing persons thing, and she suddenly found herself with a newfound appreciation for what they did. Trying to enlist a stranger's help in locating someone only you really knew was more challenging than she had perceived it being.
