ooc: Navigation Lover's mongrove.

Razor hadn't been here very long. Just after the challenge at least, and he hadn't thought about exploring. Just today he felt better with the onset of summer. The best season for his health that wasn't entirely the greatest ever seen. His light gray paws softly hitting the ground as he sniffed around. Exploring was always a vexing but exciting task for him and what better place to start then his home. Until he found a instructor, he was all about finding his own Zen so to speak with the gods. He wanted to share, learn and teach about them. Even though it was more of a family tradition, the morals still stood to every wolf. Be who you are instead of trying to be something that you are not.

Wiggling his tail behind him he stopped at the edge of a rock, stepping on it as he raised his head. It was better to see from here, grass growing in some area's. Some were more well hidden. The scents of wolves surrounded the place. Of known and unknown origin. Aunty Amalia, Uncle Leo, his siblings and their friends. There were also the comforting scents of the stranger of Fiori. Because a pack wolf life was what he was used to.

The last few days had been a blur for the girl. What had even happened? She couldn't remember; no-one had told her anyway. All she could recall was the mass of wolves surrounding her and the confusion on her features as she tried to push through the tide. All she wanted to see were her mothers and sister, letting them curl over and cuddle her. The worst sight her emerald eyes had seen that day was her mother crying. She never cried. She was an adult; adults were strong, they didn't cry. It was normal for Diana to cry; she always cried. But her mother? What had happened? Was it to to do with those two wolves fighting? One who she didn't know was her brother and the other her father?

She had returned to Fiori under her mothers' wary eye, feeling an atmosphere of pride and relief drift around her family and pack. Although she didn't speak much, she picked up on the emotions of others rather well and always found herself studying their facial features, trying to uncover their inner thoughts. She was quite good at it, she had to admit. Eventually she had persuaded her mothers to leave the den, though had promised to stay within the pack. No longer did she have a problem navigating through Fiori, in fact, the mangroves were feeling more familiar with each exploration. Her social skills was the actual problem, but that was never going to change.

She wandered through the area with long, confident strides, entertaining herself with an amusing little walk. Sometimes she'd skip, pounce or hop - anything to keep herself happy. Softly singing a little tune she made up on the spot, ebony paws carried her across the terrain until her gaze found an unfamiliar grey figure perched upon a rock ahead of her. She stopped dead in her tracks, melting into the trees and hoping the stranger didn't see her.

His concentration had been broken by one of the scents being close by. At first he mistook it as his aunt's but upon closer inspection it was mixed with the smell of youth. His expression looked surprise as the weak boy turned around, crystal blue eyes searching for the source of this mysterious scent. Unluckily for her, his nose was sharp and so was his hearing despite his weakness. Crawling onto his stomach the boy crawled forward until he was a few feet away from her. Her appearance had him stunned, was this one of amalia's children? Razor had to know! "Are you.... aunty amalia's daughter?" he quietly said, his voice just above a whisper as it usually was.

Razor hadn't really met much of his cousins, he was too sick and stayed in the den. He had been to fiori once when he was young but he didn't have a very good memory from that. Tail twitching at it's end he tried to relax himself, make himself less threatening not that he looked to be threatening anyway. "I'm Razor." He gently introduced himself.

To her misfortune, he spotted her. His cerulean gaze met hers as he begun to approach her. Why did everyone had to approach her? Why couldn't she be unnoticed? Why couldn't they leave her alone? Ivory tail between her legs, she slowly backed away from the stranger, emerald eyes widened in fear. A quiet whimper escaped her lips as she felt his shadow touch her form. Bracing herself for a booming voice, she blinked with surprise when the male spoke in no louder than a whisper. He was actually quiet, and he seemed gentle. Perhaps he wouldn't hurt her after all.

He asked if she was the daughter of Amalia, more specifically 'Aunty' Amalia. Amalia wasn't an aunt, she was her mother! Unless...Amalia was his aunt. So did that mean they were related? Were they kin? The girl only nodded her russet head in response to his inquiry, listening as he exchanged his name. Razor, an unfamiliar name indeed. She couldn't recall seeing him around the pack or at meetings, then again, she kept well away from her pack-mates so it wasn't much of surprise. "D-D-Diana," she introduced in a hopeless stammer, continuing to stare down at her ebony paws.

Diana, what a nice name he thought to himself. She seemed scared of him, as upsetting as it was he knew that he was probably the most less likely wolf to harm her. Even if he wanted to, he didn't have the physical ability to do so. "I'm sorry that I scared you, I'm your cousin." Razor for once in his life was happy that his voice didn't really extent beyond a whisper. He smiled at the young girl wiggling away a little to give her some room. Perhaps he could coax her out to see the world, he would love for the company and to see some things would be great. "Want to explore with me?" he asked looking around. Of course she lived here so she probably knew the place better then he did.

As Razor turned his attention back towards the little girl the black end of his tail twitched. The blue eyed boy didn't want her to do anything she didn't want to do. Exploring with others just seemed a bit more fun. He wasn't one to talk very loud or at all unless he felt the need. Diana was a sweet girl, and for once she wasn't his brother who he usually clung to. With his sibling missing - it left a bit of a gap.

She found it weird how everyone went around with thundering paws and booming voices, frightening the reserved child, and then apologised for being so loud. Why couldn't everyone be quiet and gentle, like her? Why couldn't everyone be nice to each other, instead of fighting one another to solve a silly problem? "It's a-alright," she mumbled feebly, staring down at her ebony paws. She didn't know what else to say to her cousin. She wanted to thank him for being quiet and not scaring her as much as her other pack-mates did, but it was too late now. Besides, he'd probably find it strange.

It was quite nice of him to suggest them exploring together, especially since they had just met. It couldn't be that bad, could it? It was just like adventuring with her sister and mothers, only not as fun. She couldn't deny his request, anyway. That would be rude, and she didn't want to hurt his feelings. "O-Okay," she answered in a small voice, waddling after him as they began their walk through the mangrove. She could feel her heart pound against her ivory chest. Why was she still worried? Maybe she'd get used to him; it just took some time.

She was so... tiny, it reminded him of himself. As she agree'd Razor tried to contain himself. This was the most adorable creature he had ever come in contact with paws down. As he moved slowly, he walked through the grass. Using his eyes and nose to scent out the area as he looked around. Trying to make note of any landmarks or dens he should have been aware of. The mongrove was most definitely a very exciting place. He also made sure to keep looking at his little cousin. His pace was slow as it was, and he figured maybe they should talk a bit more even if silence was a well off way he communicated.

"What's your favorite thing to do?" he asked her softly. Maybe then after this he could take her out to do it. It'd be like a treat - for going exploring with him. He wanted to apologize for being boring and slow. However the calm boy always seemed to be like that, he wanted to apologize about every step he took. Even if it was causing no harm.

As they began their walk, the girl found it easy to keep up with her cousin. Most adults took huge, galloping strides, making it hard for her to catch up. She was always scared she would trip over her own clumsy paws or slip in a patch of mud if she went any faster than normal. In saying that, a slow lumber was her preferred pace, and so she remained relaxed on their stroll. For most of the time she kept her gaze on her paws or on the surrounding scenery. Sometimes she looked up at the male with wide, curious eyes, though tried to do so when he wasn't looking down at her simultaneously. It was too awkward looking at someone as they looked at her. It was like they were expecting her to say something, and everyone knew that wasn't likely for her.

He asked a rather simple question, though she couldn't find an answer to it, not that she didn't want to reply. Everyone asked her what she liked to do, and the honest response was that she didn't know, she didn't know what she liked to do. She didn't have that many interests, nor was she was particularly social. She liked to be by herself, far away from everyone else, but she wasn't going to say that. She didn't want to offend him. "I-I d-dun-no," she softly with a stammer. "I-I l-like p-playing-g." It was sort of true; it just depended on the game.
