Short lived wasn't it?
ooc: the others can show up after riv speaks with leo. Rivaxorus had heard the call, as much as he had hoped it seemed that Borealis had not lasted. However, he was determined. With a pack disbanded, he would take up it's spot and rise from the ashes. The male was determined, filled with energy. As he stood in the mongrove he called for Leo urgently. He wold need to get to the spot before another wolf decided to take it up. Rivaxorus would gladly defend his new title when it came. His tail flicked, it saddened him a little to leave so soon but he felt that time could not be wasted. If he could at least give Zephyra that peace of mind they would continue on stronger together.
Rivaxorus would take in a deep breath, it wasn't over when he got to this point he knew that much. There was still a lot more to do, to survive. For the future of his own self that's why he would be seeking this path and he prayed to the gods that things would go smoothly. |
When his nephew's urgent call went out for him, Leo was quick to make his way toward him to answer it. He could tell that whatever was going on was important. Riv didn't just call him like this for no reason. He found his nephew shortly after and gave him a small smile. He had an idea what this might be about, but he wanted to give Rivaxorus a chance to speak his mind. If it was about what he thought it was this would all be very bitter sweet. He had enjoyed having Riv and his little band of friends and siblings here. But he had known what Riv's dreams were for a while now so he wasn't surprised. "What is it, Riv?" he asked as he came over and settled on his haunches in front of the other man. It felt like just yesterday that he and Riv had spoken for the first time after his mother moved their pack next door. He had grown so much since then. |
Riv hated to admit that it was a little painful. There was nothing he could do to express how grateful he was for the things that Leo had given him and his followers and family. He could use all the excuses of it was because they were family, but that wasn't always the case. It was the kindness in his heart that fully led him to accept them. As Leo spoke, a sad smile spread across Riv's face, but still held a very confident look in it.
"Ren disbanded Borealis. I wanted to take this chance to claim my pack." Rivaxorus said, not wanting to dodge around the subject after all. "So I called to request that I, Zephyra, Xephyris and Jackson be released from Fiori." he still smiled, letting out an uneasy breath. There was no telling what would happen, and there was always the fear of the unknown - but he was at least a little bit prepared. |
Leo gave Riv a sad smile as he spoke, describing his request. So he had been right. He had hoped he would have more time with Riv and his siblings here, but he understood that this was a golden opportunity for Riv to take the next step toward his dream. "So be it," he told his nephew with a nod. He couldn't bear to tell Riv no and keep him from this. He knew Riv wasn't disappearing by any means and this wouldn't be the last time he saw his nephew of course, but it still tugged at his heart to see them leaving. "You know where to find me if you need anything. And I hope you'll consider Fiori your first ally when you get everything settled." He smiled then, pushing away the sadness at their leaving to put pride in its place. He knew this decision wouldn't be made lightly on Riv's part. He didn't want to do anything to discourage him, he only wanted to give him the support he was sure he would need. "Will Razor not be joining you as well?" |
Somehow he wanted a way to express his happiness, sadness, all in one go. What could he really do for Leo otherwise? For his family here, Athena, Amalia, their children. His cousins from Leo, even the other wolves he had met while in Fiori. It had been an unforgettable adventure. Even though things were changing it held a special place in his heart. He nodded his head towards Leo telling him to consider having Fiori as an Ally - he wouldn't have it any other way, as picky as he was. Leo also asked about Razor and Riv shook his head.
"I actually haven't talked to Razor for a while, I think I'd like to assume he likes it here. He knew what I was doing but hasn't wanted to approach me. He's been growing, I believe he wants to stay here. But you'd have to ask him yourself to confirm really." His tail flicked. His brother was strong, and since their sister went missing it had taken a hit on them. That and between losing Holly for that amount of time - he didn't want to place any pressure on Razor. |
He was surprised that Razor hadn't said anything about joining his brother's pack. He was glad to have him here still, just surprised. "Well he's more than happy to stay if he's happy here. I'll certainly talk to him and make sure." At least he wasn't losing all of them. No, he had to stop thinking that way. He wasn't losing them, he was just seeing them off to a new part of their life. They weren't disappearing, just moving. He realized that Svetlana's disappearance had really effected him in more ways than he had expected. It made him want to hold on tightly to everyone close to him and keep them from leaving. He couldn't do that this time. "Good luck, Riv. I hope that you and your friends get your pack off the ground without any problems." |
