No Ordinary Love
Everything was absolutely perfect. Well it felt perfect to him at least. He'd finally had his den finished, lined with dried out furs for comfort and big enough to fit him and at least on other wolf, if not two if they were all smaller than him. He'd debated on taking a spot near the lake, but after Locha telling him how Dono's entire beach had been flooded along with a whole bunch of dens, Creed decided against it. He didn't want to have to move dens if they ever had a flood. He certainly felt like he'd be too old by next spring to want to feel like doing it so he was content where he was. With his den finished Creed decided to go for a stroll. It felt good to get out and stretch his limbs after digging for so long. Dirt still covered his paws but he didn't care. He could always go and clean off later. For now he wanted to loosen his muscles and patrol the border for a bit before he went and relaxed. So he headed towards the north eastern part of the border. Thankfully his den wasn't too far from the border though the closer he got to the border the hotter he felt it get. His coat wasn't meant for the hot months at all as both his parents had held arctic roots. He'd inherited that and unfortunately Celestial's place in the West wasn't exactly the most pleasant place to live. It was nice to finally to be able to have a pack again though and have things to do so he'd stand a little bit of heat. He finally reached the border so he slowed a bit to try and cool off. Tongue fell from his mouth as he panted softly as he walked along the border. He couldn't smell any scents except his pack, but ever since the Yfir wold came to their border the first time he wasn't willing to take it easy. So he made sure to take notice of all scents as he plodded along. Walk, "Talk" Think |
Slowly he noticed Creed's scent being over powered by the many mingled scents of a pack and his ears perked slightly. He had joined a pack? At least that's what it seemed like. He pushed his large form onwards, trying to hurry as best he could toward this pack he was smelling. Finally, in the distance he saw a figure moving along the edge of the plains and a minute later he got close enough to recognize his brother's distinctive markings. His exhaustion immediately got pushed aside and a smile tugged at his lips while his tail began to wag behind him. Heavy paws thudded against the ground as he picked up into a trot toward his sibling. He let out a bark to get his attention, a slight grin touching his muzzle.
As he approached celestial he would catch the scent of creed as well as the sight of both his brothers. He almost laughed, as his hard work paid off in that wonderful moment. He gave a tireless lope towards them and slowly as he approached the border. "Brothers!" He called out in greeting, even as he came up beside crucible. "It has been too long since we have all been together" he said, his voice quiet with his exhaustion.
A familiar bark would be the thing to get his attention. His head swiveled to the left and surprise overtook his face as he stared at the form of someone he could never forget. He immediately stopped coming to a direct standstill as he could do nothing but stare at Crucible. Cross had followed him home quicker so out of the two he'd expected to see him first.... How was this even possible? He'd hoped to see Crucible again but he knew it would be on Cru's own time. It was a miracle! It had to be. A grin slowly took over his face and his tail wagged furiously behind him. Crucible wouldn't be the only surprise though. One swift glance behind Crucible and the next thing he knew he saw Cross approaching. They were both here? This was marvelous! His tail seemed like a windmill to him now and he was sure if he grinned any wider it'd split his face in half. They were finally back together. "Ye realize tha' now yer here Ah can' let ye ou' of mah sigh' again." He said jokingly with a grin. He'd missed them so much! Walk, "Talk" Think |
