Having moved a bit north since her arrival in this land, Caelum found herself a bit... Disoriented. Not so much lost as uncertain where to proceed to. Because she didn't know where anything was here. Because she was dumb and lost, dammit. Her face scrunched up into a look of both annoyance and deep concentration while she tried to figure out where to go. This forest was so quiet and foggy. It was easy to lose one's sense of direction. Still she remained irritated with herself for wandering into this place without knowing it or how to get out of it.

Eventually the frustration and anxiety of being stuck in the middle of a strange place forced her to lay down and stop her attempts to escape this place, lowering her thin form to the ground, ears swiveling back and forth but catching no sound. It was unsettling to know that the squishy earth beneath her paws not only made her own movement silent but that of anyone else around as well. Eventually she gave into the soul-crushing defeat and rolled onto her back, huffing loudly and staring at the tree branches above while she let herself calm down a bit. No point in letting herself stay overwhelmed, panic would only make her situation worse.

It had been quite a while since he stepped foot beyond abaven lands. Maybe because before he found them again, he was content with staying within its borders. No other worries to deal with. But lately, he'd been growing pretty restless, and his paws demanded a walk for a day or two. Maybe it was because his age was catching up, like his internal clock knew that if he sat around then he'd die right then and there. The thought made his lip rise at that time, so that's when he got up and went. But where? He had no destination in mind, really. But the lingering pieces of his memories in this continent would evidently bring the brute to a place he'd been to only once in his life.

Icy blue gaze hardened, paw steps silent as he looked around. This place hadn't changed one bit...and in a way, it still held its creepy and chilly reputation. Hansel trekked deeper, knowing his way out by way of scent, and faint memory. The scents of everything around him seemed muted, like the world stood still while the fog snaked around his feet.

Suddenly, the male froze when he heard a nearby sound. Brows quirked as he gazed around, and it sounded like...breathing? Or a very loud sigh? Maybe it was the trees. Still, he would investigate the mysteries of these woods. Walking towards where he heard the sound, the male came around an old gnarled tree to find a rather interesting surprise. There was a wolfess lying on her back looking frustrated. Or maybe she had given up? "Need some help?" It was a general question, maybe to prod and see if she meant to be here. His voice held the slightest hint of sarcasm, but if she truly needed help then he would help her.

"speech"

The trees were always nice to look up at. She enjoyed how they would sway just a bit when a gust of wind blew through the forest, the sound of the leaves rustling was soothing in a way. She sighed once more in a more relaxed way, letting some of the tension out of her body. Letting go and just enjoying the moment was something she so rarely did. She'd be lying if she said it didn't feel nice.

Her head turned slightly when she heard the almost imperceptible sound of pawsteps, looking while still on her back to see who it was but not bothering to get up. She didn't feel like bothering, and soon was busy looking over at the man who had appeared. He was clad in tones of grey interrupted by a few patches of snowy white. Mostly she found interest in his eyes, a light blue that nearly matched her own. Normally it would bother her that she had gone a few moments without making an effort to respond to his question, but today she just wasn't up for the stress of being concerned.

Taking a bit to roll the question around in her head, she slowly moved to get up. Did she need help? Probably, but not the kind of help you just ask a stranger for, most of the time it was unwise to unload one's personal baggage on someone who wasn't interested in hearing it. Not that she'd ever met someone who did want to hear such things. No, besides that she had to assume he was referring to the possibility that she was lost. Which, Caelum would begrudingly admit only to herself she in fact was. Horribly, horribly lost. Luckily having walked for so long had left the woman tired and in no rush to leave. She could stay here for a while, let her paws have a break for once.

Pulling herself to a sitting position, she smiled gently saying "It's possible that I do... are you offering your assistance?"
