An Epic Of Time Wasted

Well it seemed this place would be replacing the hot springs. Not that he was complaining. He doubted their father would complain if he decided to go swimming in the springs any time, but now he could come to the falls and sit without being outside of the pack's territories. Not that there was a lack of things to be doing in either of their lands. The mangroves were always fun to splash around in and now the waterfall opened up a whole slew of possibilities once it got warmer. Of course there was always the growing excitement of their birthday arriving. He and his siblings would be turning a year in the spring and then they'd get mentors! He hadn't come to a conclusion of what all he wanted to focus on but he was sure he'd have plenty of time to think about it. Today would find Lionel heading towards the falls by himself. He was more than a bit curious about it. The terrain began to slow downwards and his pace slowed to a careful walk as he picked his way down the hillside next to the river. Eventually he came to the edge of the waterfall where it stared to slope downwards into its pools and he made his way down to the first of the pools on the naturally made staircase. It was a little chilly outside so he certainly wouldn't be getting soaked, but he could feel the soft mist from the falls resting on his pelt. It didn't penetrate past the first layer of fur so he didn't mind, but he doubted he'd be going any farther just to avoid any mishaps. Content with his place by the falls he plopped his rump to the ground and stared around. Today it was sunny for once and Lionel found himself quite happy with his surroundings. Eyes would close as he let out a sigh of content as the sun beat onto his reddish coat. Walk, "Talk" Think |
