I could lie, couldn't I, couldn't I?

every thing that kills me makes me feel alive

she couldn't imagine being here now, under the gaze of the quiet night, as the crown of moonlight softly bleeds upon the ground. they cast a silver glow, shimmering so bright that even the grass underneath seems to be dyed in its color. the wind smells strangely like the heralds to a rain shower, possibly coming in at any moment. on her way here, the young female could see clouds gathering, but as of yet, this territory is still untouched. she is not sure what the difference is between a storm and normal rain, when it comes to clouds, as she is much more interested in the glittering stars that blankets the night sky.

she couldn't quite place a paw on it, but...this place is perfect. she cannot find any other lands with less trees and more sky. not only that, but she could distinctly smell the prey animals moving about, their scent unhindered by the many other things that would usually be present. she sat upon her haunches, eyes busy in their movement as she watch a tiny line of meteor flying across the velvet background. the girl's chartreuse eyes widened a bit, and for several seconds, she could not breathe. she did not want to breathe; this all feel so surreal and dream like. is she actually in a dream? a fanciful dream where everything is quiet and peaceful and upwards is the sky she long ago had always wanted to see, but could only see in dreams.

the plain itself stretches like a hardened sea, and even the vastness of this could not compare to the sky above. the sky is everything, her only companion for now until that shrike bird returns from whatever she was doing.

note to self: being set before the first cathaoir thread.

When he fled, he did not care for the direction he went. Quickly, he ended up in the South, and in a spur of the moment, he decided to cross from the upper continent to the lower. He didn't want to see anyone - not his family, not any wolf he knew... he even was avoid Cathaoir, and for that, he didn't understand why. He just wanted... he just wanted to be away, away from it all, alone in his thoughts and his worthlessness.

Truly, it had been a good idea. These lands, they captured his attention and stole his breath away; the beauty was unnerving, but oh-so satisfying. The herbs were so plentiful, and though it was hot and rather dry, it was easy living on these lands. He felt a pleasure he hadn't felt in so long, even as he slowly crossed these plains, gaze drifting across the sky.

It was so marvelous! The sky was a clear black, and the moon was high in the sky and shining above. It lit up the ground in a silvery wash, though there were still some shadows as it was not quite a full moon. Staring up at the sky, however, did wonders on a lack of attention on where he was going... so when he nearly bumped into the other wolf, absolutely oblivious to her presence, it startled him. He scrambled back. "Ah!" he cried out. "I-I'm s-s-sorry!" he stuttered as he stepped back a couple more feet, his ears flat on his head. Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no. This wasn't good.

"Speech"

sometimes, the most oddest things happen. if yomi had the power of sixth sense than she would had moved away, or at least made the indication of moving, before her bi-colored body was thrown to the ground after a semi-hard collide. though, to be honest, it really wasn't her fault; fate was fickle, and so was karma. but the latter, well, she couldn't remember what sin she committed. however, yomi blamed the presence little, because once she gathered up her body and straightened herself out, the girl had begun to mirror the other's own words. sorry! im s-sorry! at first, the young woman thought that the other wolf was someone older; she wasn't sure why either, but all this time she only ever seen wolves of a significant age. but as her chartreuse eyes focused, she realized that the one responsible for running into her was not much older than her, maybe a year older. however, he himself was bigger in size, but there doesn't seem to be an ounce of aggression in him. still, yomi took a few steps back, her own ears flattened, and her head lowered. her eyes looked up at the man, and for a moment, she could only offer him an expression filled with mild tension. um...are you hurt? tender vocals slipped out, laced with a sliver of hesitation and fear.
