This winter was a rather mild one, the girl had noticed. She'd heard stories of how brutal this season could be - the gods were often angry ones, and they could cause storms that could carry away wolves with the wind, if they so wanted. Asvor had heard about storms so strong that you couldn't see outside of your own den, no matter how hard you tried. She was grateful for the easiness, especially since she had been spending more time on her own as of late, but she also longed for adventure like those in the stories her mother had told her so often. Frowning a bit as she stepped out of her den, eyeing the blanket of freshly fallen slow that blanketed the earth, she gazed to the sky.

It was blindingly white, dappled with clouds and a sun that struggled to shine through. Her red-furred face tilted upwards as her crimson stare searched the heavens, as though for some sort of answer. Of course, she was looking for answers for the real important questions - like what she was going to do today. Shuffling her paws beneath her, she would head off, her gait light though her expression was tight as she wandered aimlessly through the pines.

With carefulness he normally didn't possess Laufey slowly slipped out from under the tree where he'd spent the night. The illness that had he'd been stricken with had finally left him, but it had left him weaker than he'd ever been before. Only once had he been so sick, but he'd been a child then and his memories of it were vague. He'd been alone then and one thing he did remember clearly was the terror he'd felt. Thankfully this time he wasn't alone and while the viking would never admit to being afraid, he was comforted by the presence of his packmates.

Spying fresh tracks in the snow, Laufey decided to investigate. He knew very well who those footprints belonged to, but the size of them still surprised him. His children were growing up. So to, he thought bitterly, was his missing daughter Eisleif. One day she would return to him, he was certain of it. Stori had gone in search of Laufey's missing woman and daughter and Laufey prayed his search would be fruitful. The lost of his daughter and his own sickness had opened his eyes to just how precarious life was. He was determined to be there for his children; determined to give them the love and security he'd never had as a child. And more than anything else he wanted them to look back one day and remember him fondly. He didn't want them to hate or pity him like he hated and pitied his mothers.

The brute spied Asvor up ahead and picked up the pace in the hopes of catching up to her. She was walking away from him but he still had quite a bit of height on her and his much longer strides covered ground much faster. "Looking for trouble?" he rumbled playfully.
This character is prone to acts of EXTREME violence when provoked. If this makes you uncomfortable do not thread with him.

Asvor hadn't spent as much time as she wished with her parents - or even her siblings. Though she knew her father had been sick - the same sickness had apparently affected wolves all over the lands - she didn't know to what extent. Though she would've preferred more time with them, she knew they had responsibilities beyond her own. Survival was always the most important  Still, that didn't stop a wide grin from taking over her features at her father's voice, her tail slowly batting at the snow behind her.

'Looking for trouble?' he'd ask, and her grin would widen playfully. Trouble? It wasn't the first thing on her mind, but she wouldn't say she was opposed to it either. "Maybe," she'd start, turning to press her nose to her father's flank gently. "Do you have any good ideas where I should start, father?" A childlike giggle left her throat, ears flicking atop their head.
