The woman had reunited with her love, though what that was going to bring she did not yet know. They were packless, but at least they were together. Age was working against them, however, in the aspect of having more children. It made Akemi sad, yet the woman was fiercely determined to one day bear another litter of pups. Likely the last of her children, but more than anything she wanted to have a family with Ravine. To give him a true, blood family once more.

The femme had left Tiny in their den, not wandering far as she had gone to get a drink. Spring had brought the flora back to life full force, though the mild winter had been a big help as well. The scarred creature was grateful to have seen another year and, slowly but surely, her memories were coming back to her. Memories of Kau and Avion... Of her sons and daughter. Akemi let a quiet sigh pass her lips, frustration gnawing at her gut. She wished she knew where they were... Zisa, Einarr, and Shiki... Were they okay? Were they safe?

Lowering her head to the small pond Akemi began to drink her fill. She needed to talk to Ravine about some things for sure.

"Listen to me talk," 'or read my thoughts.'

The caramel and chocolate brown maiden listened to the sounds of the birds. Sometimes, she swore that they were poking fun at her, causing her to flare up in both anxiety and rage. What kind of issue was supposed to cause this to happen to her, for it seemed every day she woke up, they were laughing at her due to her 'personality'. The sun had revealed her shadow multiple times, but the dame did not notice this and thought that someone was following her as she looked down to the silhouette and gave a deep growl. "Stop following me!" She barked, pawing at the ground almost as if attacking a foe, that, unknown to the dame, was non-existent. She sighed, missing her mother and father dearly, though they had left and never came back, leaving the woman alone almost as if they abandoned her. Sticks did not even know if they were still alive, but oh well.

Her ocean blue eyes scanned the area until happening to see a scarred dame nearby a lake. Her eyes narrowed in both confusion and almost as if she were being spied on. She leapt into the bushes closeby, poking her head out from time to time and giving a small call, almost as if she were giving a code to someone who was not even near her as she soon bolted and stood beside the other dame, scanning her up and down. "Did those birds put you up to this, following me?!" She spoke, turning her head to the crows that gave a caw to show that they were there. She growled, "Mind your own business!" She then looked to the grass at her paws, "Do you believe these people?" She spoke, almost expecting a response before looking back to the scarred woman again.

The female had thought herself alone until all of a sudden she heard scurrying pawsteps. Akemi hopped tot he side, fur bristling as she turned to the other femme and bared her fangs on reflex. What the hell? Following her? But she’d been here the whole time, getting reunited with Ravine and watching over her youngest son Tiny. The little pygmy jerboa was getting older, though his childish demeanor had hardly changed with the seasons. In a way the caramel femme, just a bit larger than Akemi herself, reminded her of someone she once knew. Her gaze focused on those oceanic blue eyes, frowning deeply. They’d definitely never met before...

Akemi took a breath, speaking softly. “You understand the birds?” Akemi’s words were careful, watching the woman with her single good eye. “...cause I’m afraid I don’t. I’ve not been following you, either. I’ve been in this area for the better part of early spring with my mate and son.” She arched a brow, shredded remains of her ears stubs twitching slightly. Perhaps it was old age, or perhaps it was the more motherly instinct she had that caused her to give the other woman a chance rather than snap at her. “Why don’t we start over... And you can tell me why you think someone is following you?”

"Talk"

The young femme looked to the older woman, his ocean blue orbs scanning the surrounding area. Almost as if on instinct, she would focus on the crows as one happened to land in front of her, cawing at the paranoia induced wolfess. Sticks gave a deep growl, "Stop mocking me!" She barked, snapping at the ebony bird as it flew into the air, almost cawing out rapidly almost in laughter it seemed. The chocolate and caramel colored dame gave a small "hmph" and walked back over to the scarred dame and sat down beside her.

"My name is Sticks, and you are?" She asked, her tail swaying from side to side almost as if the behavior she had done was absolutely normal to the woman. She had not witnessed a scarred woman such as she, and though it did seem rude to some, Sticks didn't even believe it to be. It was just in her nature as she looked to the woman and took in her scent slightly, "Why are you so scarred?" She would ask, tilting her head to the side in question.

Akemi watched the behavior of the younger wolfess, wondering how healthy her behavior was... Or if it was safe to be around her. Yet... Akemi felt sorry for this creature too. She seemed to truly be disturbed by the birds. She didn’t answer her question about that either, and instead spoke up to give her name as she sat beside her. Sticks... The name sort of reminded her how Ravine’s sounded in her mind. Akemi breathed in, letting out a soft sigh. The poor dear... She didn’t even seem to notice her odd behavior and seemed to be all alone if her scent was any indicator.

“Akemi Shinonome.” Akemi gave her name, her one good eye focused on the other small she-wolf. At the question as to why she was so scarred the woman let out a soft sigh. “I was betrayed by someone I loved. He tore apart my body and thought he killed me, but that was not the case. I now live with these scars as a memory of him... And the mate he chose over me.” Akemi shook her head, offering a small smile.

“But that is of the past. I’m with my mate Ravine now and quite happy.” Her gaze softened. “Are you all alone, Sticks?”
