It was unreasonably chilly for how unseasonably warm Spring had been so far. The morning was shrouded in mist, and the dew which clung to the plants around her had seeped into her fur and chilled her to the bone. Tsiry did not seem to be faring much better. When Peregrine caught wind of the familiar smell of sulphureous gasses she actually smiled. A wandering scholar had once taught her about the heat of the earth, and how it sometimes bubbled up to the surface. Sometimes in the form of volatile explosions, sometimes in the form of geysers and springs. This landscape hardly seemed fraught with imminent peril, so she hoped for one of the latter options and marked a hard line towards towards the odorous stink.

She was delighted with what she found. The forest gave way to a clearing where the noxious water was too potent for life to grow. The smell was strong, almost intolerable, but not quite. She shivered in anticipation, eyeing the bubbling water in the first pool of many. Okay, that one was probably too hot, but that didn't keep her from skipping along to the second one. It steamed as well but her hovering paw allowed her to hope that it wasn't too hot. "Hey Tsiry," she began, "Why don't you dunk your head in there and tell me if it's warm enough?" The lemur did not think that was worth a response, opting to pinch her ear instead. Peregrine quickly dipped in a paw and, finding the the water to be rather pleasant, quickly shrugged off Tsiry and her satchel and waded in.

Oh gods, where had this cold bout of weather come from? Only the night before Sil had been rolling about, unused to the heat of the region. His messy and branch ridden fur proved that. So, it was a surprise to the male that he had woken up to a damp chill on the lands. Now, as his homelands were practically constantly gifted with rain and the cold, he'd was used to the nip of the cold. That doesn't mean he has to particularly like it.

The chocolate male had wanted to get moving as soon as he could, ready to work of the cold clinging to his being. The healer, having decided to rest for the night atop a hill nearby hoping for a nice breeze to help him sleep (he regretted that now), had a good view of the lands surrounding. Sìleas had cast his gaze around, eager to pick somewhere to hide from the cold. When his min gaze found a   patch of land devoid of the usual thick plant life here and pools showing the tell-tale signs of a hot spring, he knew where he was going today.

The male set off at a fast run down the hill, wanting to waste no time at all. It had been ages since he'd been to a spring. There was one a day's travel from his home pack and he loved to go there in the Winter. Tongue lolling, he slowed his pace only a little when he reached the bracken, his eyes taking a few moments to the adjust to the darkness he'd run in to. This was probably his downfall, literally. Before he could register what was happening, he was out of the bushes, stumbling over his paws and belly up in a hot pool, all four paws in the air. When his treacherous eyes finally focused, he found himself staring right into a pair of ethereal silver eyes. Slack jawed, he scrambled to get up, slipping again in the process so that he was thoroughly soaked. Well, if that wasn't a hell of a first impression he didn't know what was. Deciding to stay sitting, Sileas looked at the female, a few paces in front of him, ears pulled back and chuckled nervously.

"Uh... Hi."

Peregrine heard the crashing approach of some creature long before she saw them, but still managed to be surprised when another young wolf came bursting blindly from the bushes and cascaded into the very pool she occupied. She sat there, wide-eyed and frozen and unable to do much of anything. Luckily for her, the male seemed to notice her after only a moment. At least he seemed just as surprised as she was! He stammered out a greeting, and by that point she had collected herself enough to reign in her own surprise. She let out a startled laugh, amused by the improbability as much as she was by his own awkward attempt at normalizing his entrance. A few different options flit through her mind, maybe 'Nice of you to drop in' or 'No, no, of course you can join in!' In the end she settled with, "Hello to you too, handsome! Here I thought this was the ladies pool, but I can dig unisex." She smiled, a sweet and prim smile with just a little bit of teeth. She hoped he was the sort who understood sarcasm or he'd probably just think she was crazy.

The woman seemed just as startled at his impromptu diving session as he himself was. As the world gradually stopped spinning, Sileas finally managed to take in the female in front of him. Like himself, her fur was of deep chocolate and earthy tones, white markings upon her muzzle and the tips of her ears. She recovered quickly and let out a surprised laugh, and Sileas smiled, water continuing to stream down his face and off his nose.

"Hello to you too, handsome! Here I thought this was the ladies pool, but I can dig unisex." Wide-eyed, Sileas immediately blushed before choking out a loud and hearty laugh. His mint-coloured eyes crinkled by his smile. He certainly hadn't been expecting that.

"Good to know. That might have been a tad awkward otherwise, a' ghraidh" he replied with a chuckle. Sileas' accent was still strong, but the delay between his translations was getting shorter, to his joy.
"My name is Sileas, by the way."
