He had successfully made it out of the den once more without being caught. The rush it gave him to successfully get this newly found freedom made his little body full of energy. He could help but run like a crazy little creature until his large paws tripped him up and he would end up flat out on the ground. He needed to practice getting his legs under control because this whole tripping thing was not cool in his eyes. This pup picked himself up and trotted forward, his eyes looking for something interesting for him to get into. As he moved further from the dens the pup discovered that the grass was getting longer and longer and soon it was towering over his small form. It made him a bit frustrated because he couldn't see what was around him other then the tall stalks of grass. He continued to move until he grew frustrated, trapped in the long grasses and unable to figure out which direction he had come from. Flopping back to his hunches he let a puny growl pass his lips trying to decide what on earth could he do. Lifting his head he tried to howl like his mother, but he couldn't quite do it. It instead sounded like a weird type of whine. Then the male began to let out short, sharp barks hoping one of his older siblings would hear him and help him out of this maze of grass.

Solveiga had been a member of Celestial for a few days now, and she was still in the process of getting used to things. Regulus had been kind enough to show her around, but now she had decided to take some time to look at the whole territory again and really get herself used to everything. She wanted to know her home like the back of her paw, just as the other members did. She knew, with a little time, she would. She also knew that with a little more time, the scent of the pack would become more familiar to her and would even become part of her own. Then maybe it wouldn't intimidate her like it still did right now.

The little sand colored woman had just spent the morning reacquainting herself with the lake in the territory, and now she returned to the plains. She remembered this place pretty well, and navigated through it fairly easily. She was lowering her head to sniff at some flowers and see if they were possibly medicinal when suddenly a little whine reached her ears and sent a bit of panic into her heart. Was someone hurt? Had something happened?

Her baby blue eyes darted around, startled. Then after a moment of silence a new sound met her ears. This time she heard short, sharp little barks. They were so high in pitch that immediately she knew they must belong to one of the pups Regulus had told her about. She had yet to meet any of them, but she really wanted to. And so she was about to. She relaxed and even chuckled a bit as she figured out that the pup must be lost somewhere in the tall grass. "It's okay," she called out. "I'm coming to find you, just stay where you are!" Solveiga lowered her nose again, trying to sift past the smells of grasses and flowers to find the lost little pup. And, before long, she located the scent and followed it quickly. There she found a rather handsome pup of black and white, with dazzling green eyes. She smiled brightly at him and wagged her tail behind her, letting it sweep through the grasses.

"Found you!" she said cheerfully, as if it had been a game. The pup looked pretty frustrated by the whole situation, so she hoped she could cheer him up a bit. She got down onto her stomach and gestured to her back. She was small and not very strong, but the pup could not weigh that much, right? "Come on," she said softly, still smiling at the boy. "Let's find a way out together."

He continued with his round of high pitched barks, trying to get someone's attention. He wasn't sure how in the world to get out of here and he needed someone who was tall to get him out of here. Maybe Regulus was around, that giant would surely be able to get him out of here. Suddenly he stopped barking, his ears perked at the voice that had called out to him. It was a female and she was headed in his direction. He could hear the grass moving as she moved. Who could it be? It didn't sound like Mom or Baine. Maybe it was Zuriel or Faite. Anxiously the male waited for the arrival of the female. Then her light colored nose poked through the grasses and he grinned his tail wagging in happiness and relief. She was a sandy colored wolf and wasn't any of his sisters, but she was really friendly and had come to his rescue. At this time that is what mattered to him. He yipped and happiness and ran over to her.

She got down on her belly and motioned for him to get on and the pup grinned, his tail wagging rapidly in happiness before trying to climb on. He then tried to balance himself, looking to her and ready to go.

"Thank you lets get out of this maze," he yipped in happiness.

The little black and white pup seemed to brighten up significantly when he saw his rescuer appear. Solveiga gave him a warm smile and giggled a bit as he yipped happily at her. When she leaned down so he could hop up onto her back, the boy grinned and did so right away, scrambling up and getting his balance. Once he was all set, the sand colored woman smiled and carefully rose to her feet, not wanting to move too quickly and jostle her little passenger. Honestly, he was a little heavier than she thought he would be, but his weight was nothing she couldn't handle. She may have been small, but she was not quite as weak as she appeared. She had strong legs, at the very least, from all the traveling she had done in her short lifetime.

"So," she said, glancing over her shoulder at the boy as she started to walk through the grasses toward a safer, less confusing place for the child. "How'd you manage to get yourself lost out here?" Solveiga raised a knowing brow, of course it was clear the pup had escaped his den to go and explore, and had gotten in over his little head. Quite literally. But she played along and feigned innocent curiosity, asking the boy outright to see what sort of response he would give. Would he come clean and say that he had wandered too far? Or would he formulate a tall tale to keep the blame far away from himself? Truth be told, Solveiga thought the latter would be much more entertaining.

With her careful movements the boy found it easy to balance upon her back. Being up so high the boy could easily see over the grass and it made his tail wag in excitement. He didn't know the fellow pack member to well, but he was sure that she is now a friend of his. He was thankful she came along when she did. When she began to speak he looked down at her and grinned his tail wagging back and fourth. The truth made him rather embarrassed, how he hadn't really paid attention and before he knew it he was lost in the maze. He wasn't even suppose to be away from his den either, but maybe she didn't know about that. So it did not take the pup long before he formulated a story.

"I was chasing an intruder, large and strong. He was poking around the den site when I found him. I confronted him and he grew frightened of me so I was chasing him down. He needed to tell me what his business was here and then I was gonna usher him to Reg," he claimed with a bright smile.

He had hoped she wouldn't realize that he was telling a fib and hopefully see him as a big strong hero. That's what he wanted to be, a big strong hero.

Sure enough, a tall tale would be spun. Solveiga smiled a bit to herself and tried to hide a chuckle. She guessed she had to admire how quickly the boy came up with a story, no matter how unbelievable it was. There had been a big, strong intruder near the den site, and this little pup had managed to bravely chase him off. "Oh, my," she said, trying to make her voice convincingly surprised. "Well, even when you find an intruder, you should still stay close to home," the sand colored woman said, glancing over her shoulder to make sure the pup was listening. She wanted him to learn something from this.

"Soon you'll grow up to be big and tall. You'll be taller than me," she said with a chuckle. "but until then, leave the chasing of intruders to your big brother Regulus, okay?" Soon the pair had made their way out of the tall grasses, and Solveiga bent down again to let the pup hop down off her back. "And you can explore all you want, if you have a grown up with you. Want to explore with me for a little while?" The maiden offered, her tail swaying lightly as she gave the boy a smile.

The boy kept his balance on the women's back His ears perked as she began to speak. He was young and full o energy, but surprisingly he was vary good at listening. He had a great desire to learn from others and to prepare himself for adult life. When she mentioned about still staying close to home he nodded, respecting and listening to what she had to say. She had a point, if this intruder that he told tales about happened to lure him away he could easily be ambushed.

"I will stay close to the den next time," he said before she began to speak again.

As she talked about him being big and tall, his tail began to wagged. He sure hoped that he would be big, tall, and strong. He was Laisren the great after all, the best fighter that Celestial had (That's what he dreamed he was at least).

"Okay I will call Regulus next time," he said with a slight sigh, disappointed that he shouldn't be running away from the den.

They were soon out of the tall grass and the women bent down to let him off, carefully he climbed off of her back and onto the ground. His eyes looked up to her as she spoke and when she offered to explore with him he smiled.

"Of course I would!" he replied with excitement, glad she was willing to spend some time with him.
