Ooc// Mandatory for all members! Pups are not required to attend but are welcome to join if they choose. First round due 8/23! No shows will face consequences!

First day of summer, and this was a perfect time as any to hold a training session with her members. The weather here was abnormally warmer then usual, the snow beneath her feet softer as it began to melt. They'd had nearly no rain at all the previous seasons, so what would this season hold? Casting it aside, they would be safe from what the world had in store this season. Except for her...she was in heat again, but now that she'd had at least a couple litters her biological need wasn't as strong as it had been the years prior. Even so, it still wasn't a comfortable experience.

The alphess would march towards a large clearing that she'd spent some of her time during the spring clearing out, encircled by pines and a few boulders that made the perfect natural arena for training sessions. She had meant the things she said in the meeting, and she wanted her members to be prepared for whatever came their way. She'd told Esarosa the other day as well, that she didn't have to come to the fight training if she didn't feel up to it. Mostly on account of the woman potentially being pregnant, which Avalon was excited about. Esarosa was her good friend, and pups were always a blessing to have around. It certainly kept them all on their toes. She would come to stop in the middle of the clearing, head tilting back to call all able bodied members. It was a demand, not a request. So those who didn't show would more then likely face consequences. She hated thinking that way, but no longer was she one to be walked all over.

Gryphon's cold - seemingly brought on by the melting snow of spring and settling in his chest for longer than he'd been able to tolerate. He'd spent quite enough of his life sick, and was very much chafing at the sudden illness that had struck him just as it was finally getting to be the sort of temperature he could enjoy being out in. But now, finally, finally, the last remnants of his cold were clearing up as well just in time for the start of summer. He'd missed a meeting, but he counted himself lucky to have considering what had happened at the last one. He didn't want to get chewed out for his brothers' behavior again, nor did he want to be thrown together with the replacement pups that would surely cause extra strife. Now that he was getting better, though, he'd been traversing the territories just outside Ivalice again, this time with a great deal better cheer. The way he figured it, the pups were probably still too young to be allowed out of the pack lands so he wouldn't have to run into them and deal with that whole maggoty situation, and he could recreate the caches of treasures that he'd had to abandon when they'd moved from Imperium nearly a year ago.

Today, though, he would have to put his plans on hold, and it turned out to be a good thing he'd been working on strengthening his youthful body again. His mother's voice rose over the pack lands, calling everyone together for - not a meeting this time - but training. The surprise awoke a gleam in his pine-green eyes, and he set out quickly for where his mother's voice had come. He was surprised to see he was the first there, considering his track record for showing up late or not at all. "Good morning, mother," he greeted with a bob of his head as he glanced curiously around the clearing. He couldn't remember this area being quite this... clean? She must have worked for a while at clearing it out prior to calling them. Why? Well, he supposed the obvious answer would be so they weren't tripping over sticks when they were supposed to be practicing, which made for an amusing picture in his head. He sat a polite distance in front of the alpha, his young body practically quivering with eagerness for his first training session.

Although Avalon had told her she needn't attend the fight training this time - the possibility of pups growing within her was very real, although it was still early to tell - she wanted to be present anyways. If anything, she could at least observe the other wolves and maybe get some tips. After all, she wasn't much of a fighter at all, so she needed all the advice she could get, even if she couldn't put it into practice today. She hoped Steel would come, so she'd get to see his fighting ability. She knew he hated these kind of gatherings, though... but he might be in big trouble if he didn't show, and she would hate to see him walking on thin ice with Avalon.

As her paws carried her to the cleared location where the Alphaess was waiting, her emerald orbs wandered to discover she was one of the first to arrive, second to Gryphon, her apprentice. She bounded across the clearing and placed herself off to the side, letting it be known that she wouldn't participate today, but still making the effort to learn. She smiled to Gryphon, her tail wagging across the ground - she hadn't gotten much of a chance to get to know him yet, but she would soon. She could still go for a hunt, so she would take him hunting another day, before she gained too much weight. At least today she would be able to see where he stood as a fighter. Head turning, she looked to Avalon, dipping her head in greeting to the older woman. "I know you said I didn't have to come, but I'd still like to watch and learn," Esa said, smiling. She hoped she didn't look like she was trying too hard, but she didn't want to be one of the ones to drag Ivalice down, either.

Vereux would show up to the meeting, he needed it. More than anything considering his single eye and lack of fight training for some time. As he left the pups at the den making sure they were all okay - especially okami since he needed to discuss some things to Avalon about the girl. Being an Albino, it seemed she was having trouble with her eyesight. Regardless he appeared with a smile on his face. Looking over towards esarosa for a moment as her scent hit him. He would come to stand near her. “You're free to stop by the healers den any time Esarosa, I'm also a call away if you need it.” he gave her a kind smile. Pups would make Ivalice strong - but not without role models that they could create.

Turning his head to Avalon, he dipped his head respectfully towards the alphess. However he also smiled, for once in a while he was in a good mood. Ever since the meeting he had decided right then and there. No more breaking vows, no more vanishing. He would never uproot himself, and he would stand up for what he needed to stand up for. Show a good example for the pack, and for his children. As he took a seat a little ways away from Esarosa, he waited for it to begin.

there were no cracks to grasp or gaps to claw

Time was growing a lot more exciting now. Potentially Liar had a lot to show, he just simply hadn't. Perhaps it had been a mistake to be with Abelinda, whether or not it had been because of one of his wives gone. Regardless he loved his children and wanted the best future for them. If that meant climbing from the bottom then so be it. Liar had grown attached to Avalon - whether it was a friendship she disliked or not - he was there for her. As he had been for the rest of those he vowed himself to. Of course, many blew it off almost as nothing.

Liar showed up without haste, after nestling his young ones in the den. They were getting older, he would probably think about setting them up for their own training. Not intense of course, but if he didn't teach them now rebellion could happen and that was something he wouldn't tolerate. No child of his would be a disrespecting little runt. They would know who was in charge - that being the alpha they served. If they didn't like it they could leave.

He threw the thought away, trying not to let his anger boil. Emotionless he arrived and greeted Avalon with a sharp nod of his head, "Morning Avalon" he spoke out to her. As he did he would find a suitable seat and keep himself raised. Ears perked forward and eager to listen. He couldn't just let himself become a eagre male.

A yawn left the large beasts mouth, as she stretched her limbs she raised from her rest. Fight training, she had to attend no matter what. Amachi hadn't been feeling well, but of course she wouldn't let that show. She'd do her duty until her bones grinded to dust. That was how she had been born and raised and it was a hard habit to kick. She wold show up without an expression on her face. As she looked at Avalon though she gave a small smile and dipped her head. As she went to find a seat away from the crowd of wolves. Close enough to hear what was going on of course.

08-16-2016, 10:37 PM (This post was last modified: 08-16-2016, 10:39 PM by Vadim I.)

Vadim felt the loving nudge from his father just before Liar left the den. He was curled up snug with the rest of his siblings, but the confined space was growing much to small for all of them. Vadim's puppy belly had disappeared with his last major growth spurt, transitioning to fuel for his height which left him in a rather tall yet lean build beneath his short summer coat. Had it been winter, he might not look the part of a pup at all- but for now, his mottled coat kept light enough to reveal his youth and perhaps out of any time of the year it could be, he might be thankful to not be mistaken for adult on this day.

As Liar moved out of the den in what seemed to be a stride of purpose he lifted his widening skull, sniffing the air curiously as if it would tell him who was out there that his father was planning on meeting. There was nothing, just the thick scent of his family. Feeling restless, he uncoiled himself from beneath his siblings and followed after Liar.. subconsciously mimicking his gait in an attempt to be just like him.

The air was warmer, the snow was melting and it left his pawpads wet and cold. Every so often, he'd stop to lick at the ice and quench his thirst.. taking in a few bites of clean snow every now and then just because he enjoyed the feeling. His lollygagging had him arriving some time after his father, but it seemed to be yet another meeting.. though this time something about the air felt different.

He searched for the amber image of his father and sought him out first, looking behind him for a moment to see if Ramsay or Greed had followed. Whether or not they did, he'd move himself to stand next to his father, shoulder-to-shoulder to match his stature and only just below Liar's chin in height.

Ramsay grumbled sleepily as their father nudged them affectionately before leaving the den. Since hitting adolescence, his usual early-rising, endless energy had morphed into the laziness of a teen - he just wanted to sleep in! He rolled over as Liar departed, pressing his face against the wall of the den, trying to block out the light. Another irritable grumbled and heavy sigh escaped him as Vadim shifted beneath him, feeling an elbow dig into his ribs. "Ugh, it's too small in here!" he snapped in a grouchy tone, flopping onto his paws when his brother had moved. He sighed again, pushing himself up onto all fours, squeezing his way out of the den, his over-sized ears folded back.

As he made his way into daylight, his olive green eyes slanted shut, his long, lanky legs carrying him away from the den and slowly, carelessly following Vadim's path. A powerful yawn split his jaws, his body stretching as his eyes watered a little. As he stood upright, he shook out his blonde, barely marked coat. His muzzle and paws were dark, but not black yet. Awkwardly long legs carried him in the direction his father and brother had gone, following them by scent mostly, as his eyes were squinted shut.

Finally he came to the clearing where half his family had gone, and he blinked his eyes open a little wider when he realized there were other wolves gathered here. Was this another meeting? No, the last meeting hadn't been too long ago. This gathering had a different feel to it - was this training? Suddenly his head perked up, and he trotted over to Vadim who stood beside Liar. His grogginess forgotten, he waited for other wolves to arrive, wondering who else would come, and as youngsters, how they'd be able to participate. He looked over his shoulder, wondering if Ash or Greed would be joining them.
All of Ramsay's siblings are allowed to enter any of his threads, regardless of whether the thread is private or not!

Another meeting. Oh goodie.

Nothing anyone could do could seem to shake him from this damnable misery he'd been feeling lately. He'd felt so much better and relaxed when he wasn't at home. Here he felt like it'd been nothing but meetings, expectations, and responsibilities he no longer wanted. He was surrounded by family he no longer recognized and they all seemed as much as strangers to him like all the pack mates he'd never actually gotten to know. Not to mention the youngest litter and then all the pups that seemed to be running around lately. He had no desire to interact with anyone and his hatred for the place seemed to be growing every day he spent here.

Where he once would have been excited about fight training he only felt an unfathomable irritation for it. Regardless he rose from he spot underneath a pine tree and headed towards the meeting. The air was unreasonably warm for this far north and his thick coat wasn't appreciative of the warm weather at all. The melting snow also proved to be rather annoying as it squished underfoot, and all he could think of was that Gryphon would be happy. He hadn't been blessed with an arctic coat like the rest of them.

He arrived and stayed on the outskirts of the group. Cold blue eyes would scan to see who had arrived. There was his mother, Gryphon had surprisingly made it, two kids, a woman he didn't know, the giant woman who'd first joined with them, Vereux, and the male who'd tried talking to him at the festival. A smugness crept within him as he realized he'd beaten Lykos to yet another meeting. Lykos' track record was wavering from time to time and it felt good to beat him somewhere. Maybe he'd be better at fighting than him too. It was a nice thought. If he was really lucky maybe he wouldn't show at all. Ha! He doubted it'd happen, he was the prodigal son after all, but a boy could dream.

His mom had said training would pick up, and she wasn't lying. He picked his way through the melting snow towards whatever she'd called for, and for a moment he thought it was another meeting since it was for all of them. But they just had a meeting a few days ago, so he figured that unless something drastic happened between then and now, then this had to be something else right? Well, he supposed he'd find out.

The cinnamon colored male spotted a small group of wolves, his mother at the head of the group and looking not as mad as she did at the meeting. Was this a training maybe? Green gaze glanced around, noting that Gryphon was here among them. He wasn't sick anymore? Cool. Now he could bug him again. Continuing his search, he noticed the packs little heir wasn't here yet, or if he'd even show. And secretly, he hoped for the latter. Lykos could still get in trouble too, right? Snorting, his eyes would rest on Kharnage's back, and a grin spread before heading over and sitting his butt next to him. "What's up grump butt?" He teased. He wanted to be around his brothers more, so maybe after this he and Kharnage could go do something fun together..

Ganta was in a wonderful mood. He had caught himself a goose that morning and had enjoyed himself a fine meal before the call of his alphess, his chief, reached his ears. Eagerness gave speed to his paws; he was eager to begin a lesson in fighting with those of the pack. To begin to show his worth. While some likely thought him a kiss-ass Ganta cared little. He was ambitious and would do what he needed to do to get where he was going in life. While he viewed Ivalice as a stepping stone of sort he was sure to repay Avalon for her kindness. An act where an act was due.

He arrived to find some already gathered. Strangers who would, hopefully, one day be friends. He wore a friendly grin as he tipped his head to the chief, his ghostly eyes on her and her alone for now. “Greetings chief. Reporting for duty~” He let out a well natured laugh. Goodness he hadn’t been in such a fine mood since he was little! But something about today just felt... Right. He glanced around at the remainder of those gathered, gaze falling on some youths about his age. “Hope everyone else is doing alright on this fine summer day.” ...and if he was being annoying? Good. Let them all be annoyed~!

Hearing the call of his mother brought a squeak of excitement from Enlil’s lips. Fight training! Sure she said he couldn’t participate in the raid, but maybe she’d let him participate in this? Oh he hoped he hoped! A giggle left the boy’s maw as he scurried from the den, ignoring any cries from siblings or father that may have followed. He wanted to attend the training! He wanted to grow up big and strong and do everything just like he said he would!

He arrived with his tongue lolling out of his mouth and eagerness shining in his eyes. His little tail wiggled back and forth as he ran up to Avalon directly, giving a happy whine. “Hallo mama!” He looked around at those there; His eyes widened on seeing the ghostly gaze of Ganta and he quickly shied behind his mother, peering out from behind her at the strange wolf. The others all looked normal... But he even had weird fur growing out his head that was way too long! The pup whispered, none to quietly, to his mother. “Mama, is he a ghost wolf?”

A sigh passed Galahad's lips when he heard his sister's howl. He still hadn't quite settled back into pack life since the meeting. He hadn't talked himself into going to talk to Avalon about his uncertainties either though so he didn't really have anyone to blame but himself. He took a moment to just breathe and focus in on the fact that he had to go to this meeting and he had to take part in this training before he trotted off to find the group. He found them easily enough of course, spotting his sister and all of the wolves, both related to him and not, all loosely gathered together in the clearing. He settled at the edge of the group, looking to Avalon first before he let his gaze drift around the crowd while he waited for the training to start. He had no idea what to expect so he just tried to keep an open and calm mind in the meantime.

This next call wouldn't bother him as much as the others had. He'd spoken to a few more wolves in Ivalice since the last meeting, and he felt like less of a stranger here than he had before. Still, he didn't approach the group as quickly as most. He'd been further away from packlands than the rest, it seemed, for when he arrived.. he quickly learned that he was very likely the last one here.

But he had arrived and he wasn't late. That was enough for him. His crimson gaze found Esarosa quickly, though he hadn't expected her here, and he'd move to her side without hesitation. He belonged there, and he felt far more comfortable as he settled to his haunches beside her and pressed his shoulder against her own. Confusion filled his eyes as he turned to nudge her, tenderly as he spoke. "You're not fighting, right?" he'd ask softly under his breath, concern audible in his voice. He didn't know if it was possible she was pregnant yet, but the very thought of that mixed with fighting was absolutely terrifying to him.

He wasn't late, but he wasn't early - which was fine with him. Lykos walked into the fight training, eyes scanning over who was present. He grinned a bit as he spotted Esarosa and Gryphon. Esarosa was sitting off to the side - was she not participating? His head tilted a little bit, but he sooned turned his attention toward his brother, whom he headed towards. He dipped his head to Avalon, before flopping down next to Gryphon, and nudging him on the shoulder. "Glad to see you're better, brother," he murmured. His brother definitely got sick too easily. Hopefully, though, he'd stop getting sick. He liked spending time with Gryphon, after all.

OOC// if ya'll can reply real quick, even with just a short 100 word post that'd be great! Next round spars will start and I'd like to try and just get this finished so we have at least one complete training thread xD also for those who might want points. If you're on absence then don't worry about it. Replies due by next Monday please! No posting order go nuts! ALSO, at this point feel free to start separate fight threads as an extension to this one so it's not all cluttered, otherwise your spars can be done here. Avalon can go around answering questions and/or helping members. So she'll do that here or pop in to observe if you make a separate thread. You can do as many rounds as you want as long as it's a minimum of 2!

They'd begin to arrive, and to her surprise, Gryphon was first. She smiled to her son, glad he was doing better now. "Good morning Gryphon. I am glad to see you are doing well!" Truly she was. He and Kharnage had both gotten bad cases of pneumonia when they were very young, so she hoped it didn't affect them too much in life. Esarosa came next, and while she had been excused for this session, it seemed that she still wanted to be present for it, which was perfectly fine!  The alphess nodded to the ebony woman, "That is fine, you're more than welcome to participate where you feel able to do so." She smiled at her, excited too that there would be more pups coming.

Vereux, Liar, and Amachi would come then, as well as a few pups. Kharnage, Dragon, the new and rather interesting member. Then her little Enlil ran up to her, and the alphess leaned down to lick the top of his head. She laughed when he mentioned a 'ghost wolf', her gaze finding Ganta. "That is Ganta, dear. He's a new member in the clan. And I very much doubt he is a ghost, but if he was, then he'd be the nicest ghost to haunt us." She winked at Ganta as she appealed to her child's imagination, before turning her attention to the last three that arrived. Galahad, Steel, and Lykos. She greeted each of them before waiting a few more minutes. And when it seemed no more pups or members showed, she'd begin. Though she did make note that the red marked woman had not shown up...she'd speak with her later.

"Good morning everyone, and thank you for coming. This is Ivalice's first official training together, and I hope you'll all be able to take what you learn here and put it to good use." She had a vague idea of what she wanted to do with them, and since there were pups present as well, she'd have to switch things up a bit. "I'd like to go over a few basic things first, and then I'll pair you off for practice spars. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask at any time. If you would like to contribute some knowledge, you may voice that as well." Well...she wondered how she would do. She hadn't really led a whole group training before, so there was always the chance she would screw it up. But, you lived and you learned right?

"Alright. I'm sure some of you are already familiar with the basics, but for the sake of those who aren't, I'll go over them. For starters, I will go over the basic defenses and I will demonstrate as I go along." She took a deep breath, her stance widening a bit to place her legs at hip and shoulder width apart. "When you widen your stance, it helps keep you balanced and your legs steady. Should someone try to knock you over, then this will make it harder for them to do so. To accompany this, you'll also want to spread your toes and dig your claws into the earth. Not only does it help with balance as well, but traction when you move, and to help keep you from being pushed backward" She figured this might be boring for some of them, but she was mostly doing it for those who didn't know. "You'll also want to align your tail and head with your spine, but keep in mind that it won't always be possible. Depending on your positions, you might not have any other choices but to keep your tail tucked at all times. Especially for males. But for everyone, having it flagged out will help you with balance and maneuverability. And in some cases, keeping it tucked will help you keep it attached to your body should someone decide they want it as a trophy. Not only that, but it will help protect your belly and more...sensitive parts." She then demonstrated and explained all the other defenses she knew of. (Speeding this along so it's not all drawn out, so pretend she explained all the defenses and why you need them etc etc.)

There. She had covered the defenses. "Any questions so far?" She waited to see if anyone had any questions, or if anyone wanted to add anything that she might have missed. Right...now, for the more complex stuff. She took a moment to think as she looked at each of them. Deciding that she would move it along and teach them as they went. "I know the basic stuff is boring for those who already know, so I'm going to pair you all off and teach you more complex things as we go."

"When you hear your names, please pair off and find a spot. If you haven't met your partner, then introduce yourself and then decide who will take the first move. I'd like this session to focus primarily on defense. Sometimes the best offense is a good defense. You never know who you'll come across in the field, after all." Alright, her gaze scanned the group as she pondered who to pair up. Once she decided, she began to call out names. "Partners are as follows: Vereux and Ganta. Dragon and Kharnage. Galahad and Amachi. Gryphon and Liar. Lykos and Enlil (that would be interesting). Ramsay and Vadim. And lastly, I will partner with Steel."

She would go to approach Esarosa then. "Esarosa, can you help Vadim and Ramsay? Give them pointers as they go along. If you need any help or have any questions, let me know and I'll come over." She reached out and touched her shoulder, a smile lifting. She adored the ebony woman, and wanted to include her in something since she didn't exactly want the woman doing an actual fight at the moment. "I'm sure the pups would love it if you helped them, but if you're not feeling up to it then don't worry." She glanced to Steel then, nodding to him as she turned around to find a spot for the two. Once everyone paired up, then she would call out further instructions.

As soon as Ramsay showed up beside him, a familiar grin overcame his features as he leaned into his brother. Everyone was gathering, but his favorite was right here. He let out a happy growl and mouthed at his brother's face and ears if he'd let him, though his own ears caught the voice of the alpha in hushed tones as she conversed with others. During the other meeting, he hadn't paid as close of attention.. but as he was growing older, more interest was shown in the hierarchy. It didn't take long for him to figure out that this was a fight training meeting, and as soon as he did he was sitting tall and attentive.

When Avalon finally addressed all of them and began the official welcome of the meeting, he perked his ears and listened with growing intension. As she began to display the defenses, the youth lifted his rump and flagged out his tail- to show his merriment, not really his dominance, and square his stance just as she had. He found himself mimicking her, spreading his toes and wiggling them in the grass beneath them. When she got to the bit about the tail, there was an obvious wide-eyed look of concern as she mentioned all the possibilities. He could lose it? Jeez that would hurt, and oh... down his tail went, right in between his legs as he cringed at the thought of losing what was between them.

When she'd asked for questions and got to him as she looked them over, he'd shake his head and continue to listen. She began listing pairs and his jowls parted excitedly as he leaned into his brother again while hoping she'd pair them together, his tongue flailing in his expressive pant; though, slowly.. it crawled back into his mouth as he almost thought she would forget about them. Then she said it, she did it! She paired them together. He excitedly growled and hopped forward, then turned his body around quick to face Ramsay and mimic the defenses she'd demonstrated earlier. Paws square, toes spread, align tail and lower neck. Got it. He'd been so excited he didn't hear her ask Esarosa to offer guidance, though it was probably a good thing.. he didn't have the slightest idea what he was doing, but his stubbornness would have protested to the idea of a mentor.

Esarosa smiled and nodded to Avalon. As she waited for the rest of the wolves to join the gathering, her tail tapped the ground impatiently, growing bored, and it made her hope there would be something for her to do. Surely it would be more interesting once everyone was here at the lesson began. She tilted her head as Vereux approached and spoke to her, telling her she could come by the den anytime. She nodded, murmuring "Thanks," to him before he went to seat himself. She glanced around, watching all the familiar faces join them, although she wasn't particularly familiar with most of them. She was really watching for Steel - where was he? At last he arrived and came to her side, a concerned expression plastered to his face. She smirked as she heard his voice, laced with worry. Nuzzling him, she pulled back and shook her head.

"No, I won't be fighting," she assured him, her tail swishing back and forth, "But I didn't want to miss out on the lesson." She shifted herself so that she could lean against Steel, waiting for the lesson to begin, and at last it did. Avalon began by going over defenses, showing off the positioning for the less experienced, and the pups that had showed up for training. With little experience of her own, she found it interesting and watched Avalon carefully, hoping she'd remember these things in the heat of a fight. Then the wolves were paired up, and she was suprised to be assigned to supervising Vadim and Ramsay's spar. "Sure, I can do that," she told Avalon - she wasn't sure exactly how helpful she'd be, but she had at least been in one fight, and hadn't done too poorly. So she stood, flicking her tail against Steel's shoulder as she slowly paced away from him. "Good luck, my love," she said over her shoulder, winking at him - she wondered how he would fare against the Alpha.

She padded over to where the two youngsters were sitting, already right next to each other. She had to giggle slightly; they certainly looked bonded, they must have been pleased to be paired up together. She seated herself nearby so that she could watch them, and she'd observe quietly to give them a chance to test their blossoming skills. If it looked like they needed help, she'd certainly offer a few words of encouragement.

Ramsay grinned, shoving lightly but playfully against Vadim as his brother leaned against him. Vadim's jaws found their usual place against Ramsay's cheek, before mouthing his face and ears. With an amused rumbled, Ramsay squinted as he ducked away, before turning back to Vadim and trying to nip his brother's ear in return. It was a familiar action, something that took no thought, allowing him to pay some attention to his surroundings. Although he glanced over the wide array of large and interesting wolves, he was less attentive than his brother, and didn't catch the low conversations of others. It wasn't until Avalon spoke to all of them in her powerful tone, that Ramsay perked to attention and sat straight, still in close proximity with his brother. It seemed their other siblings would not be joining them; oh well, looks like they were going to miss out on some good stuff!

As Avalon began the lesson, describing the defensive stances that they should take during a fight and demonstrating for them, Ramsay sprung to his paws, and feeling movement at his side. Vadim was already posing, and Ramsay quickly got to work trying out the moves for himself, olive eyes fixated on Avalon. His awkward legs shifted to hip and shoulder width apart, his paws and nails gripping the ground as the Alpha described how it would help with balance. He lifted his tail, holding it straight out behind him, although it drooped as she explained why you might want to keep it tucked a lot of the time. He swallowed a slight nervous lump in his throat; he'd always known that fighting was a serious business, but he hadn't thought about some of the realities. Boy, did that ever sound vicious, to have your tail bitten off, or... he shuddered at the thought of losing anything else.

He shook his head in tandem with Vadim when the Alpha asked the participants if they had any questions so far. He couldn't believe she would say this stuff was boring! He was enthralled, and eager to learn more and continue further into the lesson. If this was just the beginning... whatever was coming next was going to be way cool! He panted with excitement when Avalon said they'd be pairing off and learning more complex things - did that mean they were going to fight, for real? He glanced at Vadim, eyeing his brother before looking back to the she-wolf. Who were they going to get paired with? Hearing his brother's name quickly followed by his own, he grinned widely as he jumped in place. "Sweet!" he yipped, his body lowering into an unpracticed crouch while his brother bounced around to face him head on. His tail whipped back and forth as he attempted to set his defenses, his legs bending at the joints and paws shuffling into a widened stance. His head lowered, spine aligning, and nails digging into the grass. His brows furrowed as he heard a mentor being assigned to them, but he didn't think they'd need help. They could figure this out by themselves.
All of Ramsay's siblings are allowed to enter any of his threads, regardless of whether the thread is private or not!

While Amachi was well aware of the defenses. She would let Avalon remind her, after all it never hurt. As the large lady would take a look at Galahad, she made an almost unamused look on her face. Not because of him, just she felt bad for being so silent during their last meeting. Galahad was Avalon's brother and she wanted to show him his dues. So she was actually glad they had been paired. Perhaps she would be able to take him for a walk later. She smiled and dipped her head towards him. That way to lead him away from the group a little so that they could start their spar.
