Here without you

It was cold up here, not that he was all to concerned. Andris' paws carried him aimlessly, stopping only for sleep and food. He had no other reasons to rest, not anymore. Snow clung to his fur and pale greens lifted in disinterest to peer at the strange spires around him... a lifetime ago he might have cared, a curious need to understand them. Now though the only thought he could summon was that Naoko would have loved them, driving that thought from his mind the man instead tried to focus on his weariness. It was time for sleep, at least a few hours and then he'd begin to wander again. Andris would never claim he was really living; this was no life but was all he could do to stop himself from ending it all... It was all he could do to keep his mind off all he had lost. The man laid at the base of one of the towers, silver lids slowly sliding closed and he prayed for sleep to take him quickly and without dreams. |

Cas had decided long ago that he didn't like the cold, and yet, this was where he found himself. Blue eyes would narrow against the random gusts of wind that pelted snow against his fur, and crown would lower in a futile attempt to protect his face from the frost that was thrown his way. Perhaps it would be wise for the pale wolf to go south, and escape the cold that chilled him to his bones. It was through the flurry of snow that assaulted him that he saw the large ice towers that jutted from the ground. Blue optics would wash over the ice, crown tilting slightly to the side as he wondered how they came to be. His strides slowed, and another shudder raked through his still form. Perhaps standing still was not his best friend right now? He blinked, squinting at the base of one of the towers. Was that... another being out here? Who in their right mind would choose to rest in a white waste land such as this? On careful columns, he moved out toward the being. Did they perhaps freeze to death? Were they frozen and never to move again? His body lowered to the ground, and rounded ears were press forward on top of his crown. "Hey, are you okay?" He calls out in soft tones, blue eyes glancing above the prone form of the wolf. He was almost tempted to reach out with his snout, and prod the form with his cold nose. He refrained, however, mainly because he had not yet confirmed if the man was dead or not. text. "I thought of angels choking on their halos." |
