Sweet Dreams Are Made Of These

She was going to be angry with him. Oh so incensed by it all. His mate had a fiery temper that was calm in a way, but made it all the more intimidating. He himself was scared by her, but it did not mean he looked forward to sharing the news with her either. How would one tell the mother of her unborn children that one would be sent to another pack at a young age for diplomatic reasons and marry one of the children of that pack's Alpha? There wasn't any easy way to word it. If they happened to have a female then it would go to Amenti and marry one of Newt's sons. If they only had males, well they would arrange something.
Paws crunched through the snow as he picked his way across the treacherous terrain. It was getting darker and a light flurry of snow was once again falling coating the ground and making it even more of a white winter wonderland. One would have to strain their eyes to see him. All that could really be noticed was his coal black nose, and his colored eyes. The advantages of being completely white. His pelt however was not made for such cold. It was still thin and short, but never once would one hear him complain.
Nostrils flared as he attempted to take in the woman's scent. Her location was currently unknown. Head raised to the sky and the aging male let out a soft croon for her, requesting her presence. Then he sat back to wait. It seemed unfair to make the pregnant woman walk to him, but she was a slippery little devil. Finding her was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. He'd even been lucky to find her den that one time. Just coincidence that he'd stumbled across her scent. With the snow it obliterated any traces of her so he finally had to give up and just call her to him. Hopefully she wouldn't be too pissy.
