Qualm wanted to break away from the ridge for a short time. He could go and look for some herbs to gather. This time without even wanting to think about how he could fail. Tail flicking behind him he approached the spout with such curiosity. Normal instincts however told him to stay away or he could get hurt. Really though he wasn't sure what herbs he could even find in the north. It was cold and autumn had arrived. Qualm needed to gather what he could before winter came or they could be in trouble.

He frowned mildly, he would hate to be a disappointment to his daughter. That was something he still needed to get used to saying as well. The male would settle himself and try to think. Was there a pack nearby he could possibly ask. After all he was certain some of them wouldn't mind teaching him a bit. Or he could find someone.

the colors of my life
are painted in black and white

She wasn't quite sure where she and Nox were headed, but she was content to let her paws do the wandering. She wasn't quite sure what to be doing with herself. Summer had killed off a lot of the herbs she needed to collect and with Autumn here it hadn't helped. Now everything was cold and the weather seemed pretty bi-polar to here. One minute it was raining and the next it was just downright cold and her pelt wasn't faring too well. Some days she just spent inside her den trying to keep busy by organizing things in an OCD kind of frenzy. Other days, like this one, she spent wandering around aimlessly.

That was always the downside to her profession. If no one was injured or sick and it was colder then that meant she had nothing to occupy her time. She was thankful that everyone was healthy, but she was rather bored. She'd contemplated heading south to collect some more herbs, but more often than not she kept procrastinating. She still had a little while before Winter hit.

Instead she let Nox take the lead and together they headed towards the geyser. To her surprise someone had already headed in this direction. She could smell the masculine scent overlaid with a pack scent. She thought of turning around and going somewhere else, but she didn't want to waste this trip so she headed towards it anyways. The pair quickly found the man and the geyser and she paused a little ways away. She couldn't hear the water spout so she assumed it was quiet for a while. She sniffed around for the male and (hopefully) turned her head in his direction.

"Hello?" She called out softly.

Armai has a female snow leopard companion that goes by the name of Nox. It can be assumed that she is always with Armai unless otherwise stated.

The male was taken by surprise as he turned to the voice. Ears flicking forward as he watched the girl, she seemed to have a companion with her as well. A big cat, which he had seen a rat before but never a cat of this size. Qualm would look dumbfounded for a moment before crouching to show a bit of respect for the creature. He could only assume it's beauty was from the north. "Hi." her scent hit him hard though. Bristled underneath the pack scent was faintly that of his mother. It would be hard for him to forget that, he tried to remain calm regardless. It would be rude of him to just angrily ask her why his mother's scent was over her. It was faint, meaning she possible was just in the same pack was all.

"I couldn't help but to notice that you have the scent of herbs on you. You wouldn't happen to be a healer would you?" he would look towards the cat for a moment then back to Armai. "My name's Qualm River's. I hail from the east in a pack called Ivory Ridge." he dipped his head, though it appeared this girl was blind - he didn't care.
