There's something bright about today. Something lovely. Something more than fantastic. Moving with her little clip of a gait. At least Luxanna can still survive on her own. She misses her family, but there's this place to keep her whole. There's something in her, something that's... not distant, but she's not as on as she is when she's surrounded by a family. Something that's not as right or as good. But she's okay. Lux is okay, and she will be okay.

The spark is exploring this place, learning where everything is. Trying to find someone who could sweep her away, bring her into a home. A fold. Something of that variety. Wasn't it pretty to think so? Lux is pretty, too, her winter coat coming in as colder weather settled around her shoulders. Moving through cropped land is strange, but nature is going to take over. Nature is taking back over, and that... is less strange.

This place, all of it, was so strange.

With each passing day Naudir continued to grow in strength and wisdom. Upon her right shoulder perched Branwen, the white crow and on her left shoulder perched Balthazaar, the black raven. Her companions were truly that, her only companions in the world right now though she hoped it would not be the case for long. Her mother had returned to Boreas and Naudir secretly hoped that meant Yfir might rise again though she couldn't be sure. With each passing season her mother grew older and she did not know if any of her siblings would rise to the task of reclaiming their pack. Lyndvarr had not returned with Katja, Kapra and Harekr were missing. She was not a leader, that much she knew. Would Runa be interested? Perhaps Taufr or Ásvor? Ræsa seemed to free a spirit to ever rule a pack. Or perhaps Yfir would not rise at all, perhaps they would be a band of loners. Either way she was excited at the prospect of being in a group but for now her little menagerie would do.

"Goodness it is warm in the south, isn't it Naudir?" The girl would nod slowly. "Aye, Branwen, though I'm sure winter will change that. The fall has been warm and dry everywhere." "Dam miserable if you ask me." Balthazaar joined in. "When are we going to get back up north where we belong. I know you like to wander Naudir but where the hel are you taking us?" Naudir chuckled to herself. "Wherever my feet take me, I guess. The gods sent me a vision last night, we head south, south until I find what I'm looking for."

The bizarre trio continued on entering the range. Well, this wasn't it, this looked nothing like her vision… at least not yet. There should be a strange skeleton here, a strange beast long since dead and decomposing… assuming Loki wasn't playing tricks on her and stringing her along. Suddenly she spied another woman, a sandy colored femme. Hmmmm… would she know? "Hail there! Do you live here?"

She's strong and she's bright. Two things she's always needed to be, the only things she's ever needed to be. That and like... well. Okay, that and she needed to be a part of something bigger than her. That's why she had such an amazing time with her family. They'd been good to her, she'd been good to them, and the cycle had gone on. It was a lovely thing. Being empty was a terrible thing. The double edged sword of things to come, right? Lux was prepared.

There were three creatures appearing, and for a moment the final spark considers turning away. Couldn't let her own misery take control, right? Hell, it was barely even misery. She was just sad. Nah, not even that. Lux isn't necessarily sad. It's something else that lives in her chest, something she doesn't really like. Lonesome. Though technically true, she's cold from it.

They've seen her enough to ask her a question, so she nods along. Best to at least be polite. "I don't, I just got here myself! It doesn't really look like much of anyone lives here," Words. She'd speak, she'd be polite. She'd pretend everything was okay. Lux, you see, was a master politician.

This place, all of it, was so strange.

The stranger spoke, stating that she did not live there and in fact had only arrived shortly before they did. Ah, well, it would just mean more exploring. "Yes, it is quiet, though I have heard that there is a fair amount of prey to be found in better times but this dam drought seems to be killing off game in greater and greater numbers." She sighed and felt the longing for a pack stirring in her gut. She enjoyed the exploring but not having a home to return to was upsetting and she could only take small prey by herself or scavenge off of others kills. After this southern journey, after she saw what the gods wished her to see, she would journey back north and find her mother and they could make plans then. Whether they would wander in a band or bring Yfir from the ashes she didn't know but this solo wandering was something best done in small bursts.

"What is your name? I am Naudir Finnvi, this is Branwen and Balthazaar, my companions and spirit guides."

Lux is casual as she stands before the creature. Easy, light on her feet, and curious. The weather. They really were strange here, filling their lungs with small talk and heads with mundanity. But Lux will be friendly, will be graceful in her social interactions. That's why she's here, after all. She's here to grow her family's social circle, to make sure everyone knows the name Crownguard long before they arrive in this place. They sent their best and their brightest, and the golden child shimmers with the light of life.

"Really an awful thing, the drought. Drink or... be drank?" Her tail wags lightly, making a soft joke. Everything about Lux is gentle, is soft, in these circumstances. She's gentle as she watches the child. There's a twitch to her tail, something gentle in her eyes. This child is intelligent. A good mind, a clear head. Naudir Finnvi, sounded... charming.

"Luxanna Crownguard, I come from a land far east of here." Fluffy, thick coat on the edge of growing in for winter. She's careful, gentle. Something in her longs as well, for her family. "How is it you found your way here?" Soft. Always soft.

Naudir did not know how far into the southern lands the gods would take her, perhaps even into the southern continent itself. She hoped the prey would be more bountiful there so she could recover her strength. The girl had no doubt she looked a bit harrowed but she would pull through. If the Finnvi were anything they were survivors. Naudir remained impassive as she watched the woman, resisting the temptation to flee from the gentleness in the others eyes. Somewhere along the way Naudir had become hardened to the world around her and seeing another look at her so felt… well, she wasn't sure. She felt so unsure about so much anymore. It was why she pressed south, following the visions like they were the only water in an entire desert.

The woman made some sort of…. joke? Naudir tilted her head to the side unsure of how to respond so she just smiled softly. The woman introduced herself as Luxanna Crownguard of the eastern lands. "It is good to meet you Luxanna. I found my way here through the visions the gods granted me and I still have far to go. What of you? Did something draw you here?"
