She was doing her best to try and not be gone all the time. A part of her felt bad for not being at home and interacting with her family as much as she'd liked. Her run in with Zuriel had helped her realize this so she'd stalked back to Celestial to try and see who else she could catch up with. It'd been a while since she'd been around any of her other siblings save for Regulus and Laisren. With Laisren she'd been training him and Regulus ... well that was a given since they led the pack together. With her own hopes of making her own pack she'd been out and about a lot and hadn't quite been on top of socializing at home. She aimed to fix that before she left.

The pups came to mind at first, but then she thought of Baine and she found herself seeking out her paler coated sister. She hadn't seen much of her around, mostly because she hadn't been around much, so she sniffed around for her now. She wasn't back at the dens yet so she left them at a trot before she tried crossing through the territory to find her.

In the end she got rather frustrated trying to follow a scent trail and instead plopped herself beneath the shade of a tree. It was there that she raised her head to give out a call for Baine. If she couldn't find her then it was much easier just to make her come to her. She felt rather antsy and guilt laced her features. She really should have spent more time with her before this.

Baine was lingering around the edge of the plains in hopes that maybe Tornach might show up again like he had not too long ago. She knew she could go and find him herself if she really wanted to, and part of her kind of did, but at the same time she didn't really want to go wandering out of the pack without a specific destination in mind. She sighed and stared out at the open lands just beyond the scent markers that made up the border of Celestial. She wasn't sure why she was so fixated on her littermate still when he clearly wasn't as fixated on her.

Suddenly she heard her older sister's howl and after a beat she realized that it was directed toward her. Her ears perked up and she spun around toward the sound. Why would Faite be calling her? Was she in trouble? She knew Faite had been promoted and she knew she hadn't been very active lately... but was she really in trouble for it? So may questions and worries stirred in her head even though there was no reason for them to be and she hurried to go find Faite to answer her call. Luckily she was pretty easy to find and she spotted Faite under a tree pretty quickly. She tried to stay optimistic and trotted over to Faite with a smile, her necklace bouncing around her neck with each step. "Hey, Faite! What's up?"

It didn't take long for her younger sibling to show and Fate grinned easily at her as she eyed the necklace bouncing around her neck. Her own necklace was far less complex and not nearly as pretty and the dark leather cord blended in at the darker areas of her fur. The stone itself was blue and yellow and the bronze colored wrapping around it was nothing to admire, but it seemed fitting to her. She certainly liked it and it was different than any of her other sibling's necklaces except for Zuriel's so she was happy with it.

She didn't pick up on Baine's worry. In fact she hadn't even thought about her sister being nervous by summoning her. Her promotion was all but forgotten and she certainly hadn't thought about getting on to her for not participating much lately. Instead she focused on the pretty smile Baine flashed her and Faite's tail wagged easily behind her as the other girl spoke.

"Hey Baine!" She greeted her cheerily. "I realized I hadn't seen you much lately so I wanted to see if you were busy or not."

Baine was relieved when her older sister told her that she had just been curious about her since she hadn't seen her in a while. Faite didn't seem mad at all so she obviously wasn't in trouble or anything. Baine relaxed once she realized that and sat back on her haunches across from Faite, giving her a more easy smile. "Oh no, I'm not busy. Quite the opposite really. I um... Well, the only thing I've really been doing is sitting by the borders. Watching for Tornach." Her smile faltered a little, her expression growing a bit sad and apologetic. "I'm sorry, I know I should be helping the pack or something more important... I'm wasting my time waiting on him like that. I know he'll call if he ever comes to visit. I just miss him is all." She looked down at her forepaws as they shuffled against the grass uncertainly. "I don't guess he misses me as much. He's probably found new friends and things to do," she added softly, almost too quiet to hear. This certainly wasn't what she wanted to talk about with Faite! She hardly ever got to spend time with her siblings these days, why was she wasting it being sad?! She shook her head to clear it and looked back up at Faite with another smile. "But anyway! How've you been? How's the new job and all going?"

Baine seemed to visibly relax a bit when Faite explained why she was here. She felt a fair bit of curiosity about it, but she didn't bring it up. Whatever it was she was sure it wasn't a problem. Instead her ears flicked as Baine said she'd mostly been hanging around the borders waiting for Tornach. Her own smile fell a bit as she thought of their darker coated younger sibling. She could see his absence bothered her sister, especially since he was her only litter mate, and Faite felt a pang of guilt. She realized she definitely should have come seen Baine sooner. Was she lonely?

She went on to admit that she should have been helping more with the pack, but she did miss him. She nodded solemnly and the smile had faded from her lips. She sort of knew how Baine was feeling, or so she believed, since she'd been gone for that one time. Was that how her sister felt about Tornach? She wouldn't pretend to know why their sibling had left. She wished she had some words of encouragement for Baine, but in the end she was just as clueless as anyone else.

"I'm sure Tornach has a very good reason for not visiting very often. Next time you see him you should tell him you miss him and that he should come around more. He may just try to take the time to come try and see you a bit more often."

She was painfully optimistic about it. She flashed a smile at her paler sister and tried to be uplifting. She wasn't familiar with Tornach, she barely knew him, but she could only hope that family meant enough to him. She could see Baine needed him around and even if he didn't join the pack again he could always come visit a bit more. Surely he wasn't that busy? Her attention shifted though as Baine changed the topic and she shrugged her shoulders with a grin.

"To be honest it's a bit exhausting. I feel like I go everywhere lately and I don't think there's one part of our territory that I don't know about with all the border patrols." She laughed. "To be honest it's a lot of responsibility I didn't think I'd ever have, but I like it."

Baine nodded solemnly to her sister's advice. She thought that she had told him how much she missed him every time they were together and she had gone to find him a couple of times before because of it, but she didn't say that. She just nodded and accepted her sister's advice for what it was. She knew what Faite meant and returned her a smile all the same. She didn't really wanna think about Tornach any more for the time being so she let the subject drop. It was useless to think that her brother would come around more if he hadn't already.

Baine listened with interest while her older sister explained how her recent introduction to more responsibility was going and Baine laughed lightly as well, her tail brushing the ground behind her. "I'm glad you're liking it! I know I'd never be able to do all that. I'm glad Regulus has you around to help him," she told her with a nod of certainty. "Do you think maybe I can start doing some more stuff around the pack? I don't really know what to do, but I wanna help more," she added, giving Faite a hopeful look. The problem with the position she picked was that there was a lot of waiting until there was someone to go see or she was told to go do something. She didn't mind that really, but it did leave her a lot of time to sit and think and ponder and worry.

Baine said nothing about her advice and simply nodded. She wished there was more she could offer to help her, but Faite didn't know much about how she was feeling. She could only try and understand it to the best of her abilities. She had been the one to run off though when she was younger to go search for Regulus and their mother. She knew the pain of being gone from everyone, but in Baine's case it was a bit different. It wasn't like Regulus or Zuriel had just up and left her and the rest of them.

She smiled softly as Baine laughed and Faite was happy that she seemed to be feeling slightly better, at least to the outside appearance. Her grin grew more sheepish as Baine admitted she was glad she was around to help Regulus. She really had no doubt that Regulus could manage things on his own just fine, but she was enjoying the new responsibilities to an extent, even if they could be taxing.

She was surprised when Baine asked her if there was more she could be doing. She remembered faintly that she'd become an emissary a while ago when she'd become of age. Baine's look was so hopeful so Faite definitely wasn't going to disappoint her. So she grinned softly and nodded.

"How about you come with me on a trip to the North. It'll get you away a bit and we can go check out the new pack that's settled up there. You can learn some stuff and then get the hang of your rank."

Baine waited patiently for her sister to answer and when she did she certainly wasn't disappointed. Her pale pink gaze lit up at the idea and she gave Faite a big grin while her tail wagged away behind her. "All the way to the north?!" she asked excitedly. All her previous worries about her litter-mate and such were forgotten for the moment at the idea of making such a long journey with her sister. And they were gonna go see a brand new pack! "I'd love to do that!" she insisted happily. She had heard it was cold up north so she hoped that wherever it was that they were going wasn't too cold. Even if it was though that wasn't going to stop her. She was determined to go more places and do more stuff for her rank till she got the hang of it and Faite trusted her to go places on her own. "This is so exciting~!" she trilled in a sing-song voice, wiggling in place and barely keeping herself from hopping up and jumping in circles around her older sister. "When are we gonna go, huh? Can we go now?!"

She couldn't stop the grin that tugged at her maw at Baine's sudden excitement. She seemed happy with the idea of going all the way to the north. Faite was certainly glad at the idea of company and if it got Baine away for a little while then what could be better? She was eager for the chance to let her younger sister live a little and get her mind off of the things that seemed to be stressing her out as of late.

"Good! It'll be an adventure!" She chuckled excitedly.

Of course she hadn't planned on leaving right away which seemed to be the downfall of the conversation. She hated the idea of ruining the mood, but Baine seemed eager to get under way. Her grin didn't leave her face though and she merely laughed at her sibling's bubbly energy.

"I need to hold a meeting, there's some announcements I need to make first, but we can leave after that."

Baine nodded with understanding when Faite explained that they had to have a meeting first so she could make some announcements before they went on their trip to the north. "Okay!" she replied enthusiastically. She kind of wished they were going right this second, but only because she was bad at being patient. She was still very excited and eager about the idea of going to see this pack up in the north. She was finally gonna get to do something for her rank! And she was gonna get to spend some one on one time with Faite! She didn't get to spend enough time with her siblings and this was a perfect chance to get to know her older sister better. It made her feel a little extra special because she got to go on the trip and the other siblings didn't, but at the same time she kind of hoped all the younger siblings would get the chance to do this kind of stuff if they ever wanted to. It made her wonder what the youngest siblings were going to want to do when they got older. "Thanks for inviting me to go with you, Faite," she added sweetly, beaming up at her older sister happily. For now she couldn't even think about Tornach or their parents or any of the other things that had been stressing her out. Right now all she could think about was all the things she might see and all the wolves she might meet.

Baine didn't seem at all put off by the fact they had to wait a little while before they could leave. She knew she was going to be bouncing around with excitement until they could leave. Faite was always a lover of adventures and she was more than ready to share them with someone. She was just glad she was able to spend time with her sibling as well as fulfill Zuriel's wishes to keep an eye on Baine while she was off on her own trip. It gave her a sense of satisfaction and she'd hold no guilty conscience when she ran into her again.

"Thanks for inviting me to go with you, Faite,"

She grinned back at her sister and nodded. "Of course! What kind of sister would I be if I didn't get you out and about?" She chuckled softly. Her mind was already roving all the places they could go. She was half tempted to make a few stops on the way back to show Baine around a bit. She was happy to show Baine a few things for her rank, but she didn't want it to be all diplomatic either. She wanted to have fun as well.

"Is there any place you want to stop after we visit the northern pack? There's a bunch of different stuff we can see. Like the north has a geyser! It's gorgeous."
