Evangeline was not one to wander far. She was too much of a daddy's girl to want to leave the home where her father still lived. On the other hand, she was a healer, and there was a certain restless need to use and expand that knowledge, like a logic puzzle that she couldn't not try to solve. The curiosity inherited from her mother manifested in her in a gnawing need to know more than everyone else, so that she could prove her superiority.

It was curiosity that prompted her to make her way down this cavern despite the pitch blackness, despite the very distinct possibility that she would fall into some crevasse or another. Curiosity - where could this possibly lead? What would she find at the end? Was there an end?

She wasn't expecting the strange blue-purple glow to begin to faintly envelop her. She definitely hadn't been expecting to find, the further along she went, that the strange glow was emanating from mushrooms. She cocked her head to the side and moved nearer to study them with fascination. She knew some mushrooms had psychedelic properties, and for a moment wondered... but something told her that anything that glowed like that was probably a bad idea to ingest, even if she hadn't been so strongly against the idea of ingesting anything that would make her lose the control over her world that she clung to so tenaciously. But what, she wondered, would happen if she were to force feed it to some stupid creature...
