The hunter had been pulled away from her regularly scheduled evening activities by... something. Something glowing and twinkling where she hadn't noticed it yet. Not like the brave knew everything about the land in which she lived yet-- Fortune had wandered. She'd wandered to somewhere different than usual in search of prey, and what she found... well, dude, it was crazy. It was so crazy but it was so cool. Though the creature was usually composed, her steps were longer and wider than usual. She was moving faster. There was excitement. She's so good at being excited, though it's strange to her. A skip in her step as she moved to investigate the shrooms within the caverns, twinkling and bioluminescent. Fortune sniffs softly at them, tail wagging. Exploring with her nose. Always exploring with her nose. Would there be prey here too? What a concept! fortune shock & awe |

Treat
Fortune gets a Treat!
The glowing mushrooms set a pretty mood to the night, casting away any unease that may float around the cavern. A soft bray comes from within the cave, a whitetail deer that wandered in after hurting her right back leg. She is injured and trapped, unable to run very far. It will only take one more wolf to take her down, each getting an extra +3 hunting points! Fortune gets an event!

The ivory male paced forth, the scent of a deer taunting him. His stomach gurgled and rumbled, and he salivated in anticipation of what would hopefully be a swift kill, but still, the stone man did not set about with any type of urgency.
The scent was leading him down a strange path, and soon, he was staring into the jowls of a cavern. His brow furrowed; had he been following a false scent? Why would a deer enter here? Was the cave...glowing?
As he peered into what should have been endless, abysmal darkness, he could have sworn he saw a glow emanating from its depths. The scent of the deer was still tugging at the predator's mind, and it was growing stronger within the cavern, but the glow had captured his attention. He began to venture into the cave, creeping towards the faint glow that beckoned for him. Another scent began to edge into his recognition; a female.
He put himself on alert now, Xolan was not one to underestimate anyone, especially with that prey-scent hanging around.
But as he moved closer and closer towards the eerie glow that emanated, a silhouette began to form: the deer. Standing strangely- was it injured? It was only about 10 paces ahead of him, and Xolans golden gaze searched the glowing portion of the cave; a white female, painted shades of pastel purple and alien teal from the...the... glowing mushrooms? Xolans brow furrowed again; he had never seen anything of the sort. But his mind could not be held by curiosities for long, not with the deer making his stomach scream for food.
The male stared at the female, with no emotion in his gaze, but it did flick back and forth between her celestial form and the injured deer, which had frozen, perhaps it had seen the female?
Xolan hoped he had caught her eye, but who knew; he slank backward, silently, tucking safely into the shadows, hoping that the injured cervine would turn tail and head right of his gaping jowls.
