Winter air wasn?t as harsh here; the winds were slightly warmer, though snow had graced some of the lands already. In the throw of winter, the alabaster brute had found himself journeying away from previously explored lands- moving south; to see what else Alacritis had to offer. He moved at a lazy pace, his muscles moving seamlessly beneath his sleek coat, head carried high, he had almost a swagger to his walk. Tail carried high, he was seemingly sure of himself-prideful. Amber and teal eyes, surveyed the land before him, a glare hardening the gaze as he willed-dared anyone to come forward. Dared someone to interrupt his pace, dared them to give him a reason to rip them apart.

His mind wandered, perhaps the only fleeting thing about him. Underneath the sunny sky, he was worlds away in a land where he rarely journeyed. At one time, he hadn?t been a monster, rather a playful youth whose world revolved around one soul in particular, Amaranth. The name still brought chills to his body. His life was perfect, everyday a bliss because he was beside one that he loved. Yet, as he had learned, no love story could ever exist rather his life had been torn apart by mercenaries, who came and attacked his home killing everyone. Scars still laced his form, from the injuries he had been dealt by the heartless bastards, and he clearly recalled them dragging Amaranth away with them. For days he laid, after dragging himself to the shelter of a thick briar tree. His heart hardened that day, eyes would cloud with fury. All that was left, was revenge.

Revenge had brought him here to Alacritis, following a lead on the mercenaries, and he had ran into a soul he had always assumed he never would again meet. Amaranth. Their first meeting had be precarious, to say the least, and it left him questioning everything he thought he knew about what happened that night, and he questioned everything he thought he knew about what happened since then. Revenge, still drove him. Revenge was in his blood. Revenge was all that he had left to hold on too.

Creedance Voltaire, a heart hardened by revenge, now sought to cause misery everywhere his paws landed, to spread his misery. Creedance moved through the southern lands, his paws landing on the black shores of a beach, the ebony granules contrasting the alabaster fur of his paws. Resting back, on his haunches, he looked around, taking a deep breath of the salty air. He let his mind continue to wander, as he watched the land around him disinterestedly. A breeze picked up, carrying wet salty air into his coat, and with it carrying the smell of another. Head lazily looked around, nostrils flaring at the new scent, ears pricked forward he barked a simple command.

?Show yourself.?

Speech,

Soleil was out gathering herbs. It was a natural behavior for the healer but one taking part in unnatural settings. She had moved to Glaciem, something that had never been predicted to occur. The fair colored maiden pictured herself forever a part of Valhalla. All it had taken was one handsome young wolf to appear in her life and sweep her off of her feet. Collision.

Boy had she collided. Literally. Lost in her thoughts Soleil bumped face first right into a tree, scratching her delicate black nose. Ears pulled back and she gave a light "oof," recoiling from the tree shaking her head. The stinging pain from her nose drove her backward into a sitting position as a paw lifted to fuss with her nose. As if there were a bee to swat away, she ran her paw down her muzzle again and again.

Finally she stopped, getting to her feet. She gave herself a thorough shake before glancing around with a "sniff." Somewhere her companion lurked. The one sent along to "guard" her. Not that she didn't need protecting, Soleil was no warrior, but she didn't anticipate an attack either.

She wandered through the woods until they finally gave way to a beach. It was a bizarre place and her jaw dropped open at the sight of it. She edged out onto the dark rock, stopping abruptly when she spotted an unknown wolf. Her ears went back and her body tensed with worry. He didn't seem to recognize that she was there so Soleil tried to retreat. She failed of course, "show yourself" being called to the wind. She stopped, looking back toward him. "Hello." Was all the more greeting she gave. She was cautious but friendly.

alabaster brute rested heavily on his haunches, tail curled around him, the dame hadn?t kept him waiting long. two colored eyes rested on the beautiful female that appeared, a growing smile appearing on his sinister jaws. ivory canines were revealed, as he regarded her with cold contempt. lips pulled back, words slipping from his jaws, ?And, who. are. you?? each word was enunciated clearly, as if they were their own sentences, the force behind his question evident, though his tone was whimsically light. the demon?s eyes narrowed as he took a deep breath, concentration on her scent. pack scent emanated from her, though not a pack that he knew.

mind?s track changed, and he concentrated on this scent, wondering what it was, more-so where it was from. what pack did this beautiful temptress come from? was she merely an angel sent to tempt his wicked ways? the thought intrigued him, palpating the deepest corners of his sinister mind. his head titled to the left, analyzing the woman before him. he wondered what she saw, when she looked at him, did she see the monster within or simply a lost and meandering soul? black sand shifter under his feet, the granules working their way between his toes and claws.

ooc; sorry, short post is short. :-:

The brute had the oddest of facial markings. Like someone had splatter his face with color and kissed his eyes gold and blue. For menacing as he appeared to be, she had to say his best feature was his eyes. They were simply wonderful.

?And, who. are. you?? He questioned her, putting clear definition onto each word. He watched her, judged her, weighed her in his mind. In Soleil's eyes he appeared to be a thoughtful creature. "I am Soleil Adravendi, of Valhalla." She spoke clearly and without falter. The mention of her pack pulling at her heart strings. She was certain she was tired of Valhalla but with her current leave that appeared to be false. Now the mistress wanted nothing more than to return. Surely things had calmed down.

She sat down squarely, facing the male. An ear ticked to the side, "And what about you? Who are you?" One could always trust Soleil to be and kind and gentle soul, never truly seeing the bad in others. Whoever this brute was, he wasn't harming her by talking to her. Even when she had been raped (a night left forgotten) she hadn't felt the wolf deserved death, the punishment served by Collision.

Her eyes couldn't help but wander, almost worried to see Collision. He wouldn't take kindly to a rogue conversing with his woman, and definitely while bearing child. Soleil sighed pleasantly, squirming a bit where she sat as if to help her feel the whelps growing inside of her. She wasn't yet showing but she knew all of Valhalla would know just what was going on when she returned home. Drama or not, Soleil and Collision had done what lovers do. She was not ashamed.

all his life, creedance had been set apart from others by his appearance. amaranth made him feel normal but special all at the same time, though along with their childhood and young adult years came a lot of other overwhelming feelings. his mind was hard, on this afternoon, he was trying so hard not to think about her. instead of being depressed, because he couldn?t shake the wolf from his mind, he got angry, letting hatred for her and every bit of pain she had caused him and had been caused at the hands of her captors burn in his chest. the woman who he had scented, and commanded that she show herself, was almost a welcome distraction from the tumult of thoughts in his head.

soliel adravendi of vahalla, yes, he had heard of that pack and the surname of the she-wolf rang familiar to his ears. adravendi was the surname of the bloodline that ruled the pack, and she was out here all alone, and if his nose didn?t deceive him? pregnant. how intriguing. he assumed her mate was too busy to keep a proper eye on her, or else he didn?t yet realize the dangers that stalked these lands. oh the things he could do to her. reigning himself in, his ears swerved forward, catching her question. who was he? a smirk came to his jaws, revealing sharp teeth in a wicked smile. ? who am I?? he repeated her question, allowing it to hang in the air for a few moments, before his jaws parted and an answer followed.

? I am creedance voltaire. master of nightmares, and satans fore-most demon.? his words were edged hard, and his tone dark, though his eyes never left the lady. amber and blue eyes sparkled in the bright afternoon light, as he mulled over his next question. ?Why are you out all alone, Soliel? Don?t you know how dangerous these lands can be?? His tone grew light with this question, and he looked away from her almost indifferently. It seemed that in milliseconds his whole demeanor changed, his body still tense, and his hearing focused to hear any move, if she made one. Soliel was a lucky one, she wouldn?t be one of his victims, no, the deamon was preoccupied with his own issues today to wreak havoc in another?s life, that didn?t mean, though, that he couldn?t try to unsettle her.

Her question bid a surreptitious smile to his face. It cooled her blood, making her fight a shiver. ?who am I?? He replayed the question back to her. She nodded lightly, though she knew his question was rhetorical.

Their gazes remained locked, Soleil clasping on her muster hard to do it. She was not good at eye contact, she never had been. In this situation though, she felt it was a requirement, a safeguard. Perhaps if she made herself appear stronger, he would only assault her with words.

?I am creedance voltaire. master of nightmares, and satans fore-most demon.? She nodded, her mind speaking silently "Oh," she mentally told herself with mock seriousness. ?Why are you out all alone, Soliel? Don?t you know how dangerous these lands can be?? The male's tone was purely conversational. His body loosening as she watched him look away from her.

"Alone? No, help is never far away." Despite how relaxed he had become, she was still uneasy. For once she allowed herself to revel the fact that if he made one wrong mood all she had to do was sound a cry and Collision would be there to slay the demon. Demon, it was his word, Creedance's. His self proclaimed entity. She didn't see a demon but a wolf. A wolf raised to have a sour mind and a rotten soul.

"If you intend to keep me for a while, then I request you at least tell me if you have passed any herbs coming here. I am in search of as many as I can find, no matter the type." If he was not from a pack then surely he knew something of herbs. In Soleil's mind it was not wise to be packless and have no knowledge of plants. One wrong step could lead to a fatal wound. How does one stop bleeding? Ease the pain? Calm the nerves?

It was perhaps, a rare occurrence, that the deamon wasn?t interested in the slaughter or various acts of pleasure. The pregnant female who had identified herself as Soliel Adravendi, didn?t spark most of his monstrous urges, rather he was still distracted by his own thoughts. Something about her, sparked to a memory in his mind, something that reminded him of someone familiar. It intrigued him. He tilted to the left, as he analyzed her, his gaze raking over every curve and feature of the beautiful soon to be mother. She didn?t seem overly terrified of him, perhaps just a bit uneasy, and that also interested him. What a wolf it would take to stand up to a brute like him!

She met his eyes, and he lost himself for a few moments in the intensity of the moment. Killer and Expecting Mother. The bringer of death and a bringer of life. The meeting of such intense powers was unique and unexpected. A strange feeling overtook him, something akin to longing, as he looked into her beautiful blue eyes. She reminded him of someone, that he felt he knew, but at the same time was absolutely unfamiliar with. ?Alone? No help is never far away.? Her words reached his ears, and the perked up with interest. He supposed it was true, for a pack wolf, especially a pregnant female. A sigh escaped his jaws.

?If you intend to keep me for a while, then I request you at least tell me if you have passed any herbs coming here. I am in search of as many as I can find, no matter the type.? He raised himself to this paws, giving her a long look as he did so. ?I suppose, I could help you find some. A female in your condition shouldn?t be left alone out here, lest someone take advantage of her. I?d hate to see such a monstrosity.? The end of his sentence, was sarcastic, but held meaning. Unless he was doing the big bad, no one else had business doing it. He walked a few steps away from her, turning back towards the forest, before he stopped, awaiting her to catch up with him. Tail flicked side to side, as he stared ahead into the forest, and he turned, his jaws parting as he spoke again.

?Tell me, Ms. Soliel, this pack, 'Valhalla', you spoke of. What's it like?? He knew little about the packs, and found them to be decent conversation to pass the time. Valhalla didn't seem to be one of the packs that he had met wolves from. Not that he was very aware of each of the packs from here, having only met two different wolves with two separate scents. One he had murdered, ripping her from limb to limb and the other, a mere two year old, named Xenios he had seduced. Two separate acts, one murder and the other pure pleasure, had been the highlighted definition of his time in Alacritis. He had met other wolves here and there, exluding Amaranth. God, he didn?t want to think about her right now, he just wanted to block those thoughts, that pain from his mind. He wanted to think about anything but Amaranth.
