"Miss Sooooooora!" he called as he trotted through the forest, his lanky frame making his steps not all that graceful. He was three seasons old now, but it still looked like he wasn't quite grown into his paws. His legs were spindly and his body was slender from his recent growth spurt. He was still just as energetic as ever though and his tail was waving behind him as he trudged through the recent snowfall. "Miss Sora!" he called again, his golden gaze scanning for her. He knew she had to be around here somewhere! This is where she was this morning before he went adventuring anyway. "I wanna practice hunting with you again!" Although if he wanted to do that maybe he should stop yelling and scaring away all the prey. His ears flicked back at the thought and he paused so he could look around a little more quietly. "Miss Soooooora!" he called again, except keeping his voice at a whisper this time. "Talk"

Her ears perked as she heard the pup calling her name. Sora had been off for a bit investigating an herb plant that had been covered by snow, Neptune seemed to be calling for her so that she could help teach him to hunt again. Prey in the area hadn’t been particularly abundant as of late, and the prey that she did happen to see didn’t always have the most meat on them either. Alisa had been doing fine since she didn’t need as much meat as she and Neptune did, but Sora had been struggling to find enough food to sustain both herself and the pup. They should probably move down towards the south or into Auster where she had heard the food to be more accessible, but she wasn’t going to bring the idea of that up to the pup just yet. She left the herb she had been investigating to go help Neptune, Alisa who had been with her followed in silence.  As she found the pup she would say “Okay Neptune, but first we have to find our prey. Can you smell any?”

Neptune grinned when Miss Sora finally came into view and he hopped through the snow toward her to meet her halfway. "Hmmmmmm, I haven't yet. Lemme try again!" he insisted in response to her question about smelling any prey. Honestly, he hadn't really be paying attention, but now was as good a time as any to practice what she had taught him so far! He lifted his nose to sniff the air, not really catching any scents except for his own, Sora's, and Alisa's at first. He thought maybe he smelled something and be brought his nose back down to the top of the snow, sniffing away as he wandered a bit to try and pinpoint where it was coming from. He left and uneven circle of pawprints in the snow around Sora as he searched diligently for the scent of some prey. He wasn't having a lot of luck though and when he ran back into his own paw tracks he stopped and frowned, his ears flicking back uncertainly. Was he doing it wrong? He didn't understand that there just wasn't prey to be had here. He thought he had to be doing it wrong. He looked up to Sora with a concerned look, a frown deep on his muzzle. "Am I not doing it right? I haven't smelled anything that even kinda smells like food!" "Talk"

Sora giggled to herself as she watched Neptune circle around her as he tried to find a scent. Pups were fun to be around, she should have some of her own someday she thought but that day was still to come, she had yet to even make a friendship with anyone of the opposite gender who was around her age and not related to her. She noticed that Neptune looked confused, he probably couldn’t find anything. As he looked up at her to ask if he was doing it right her heart sank a little. He was right she couldn’t smell much food wise in the area either, she would have to find something for the two of them maybe she could commission Alisa for help. Auster seemed to be a better option at the moment, it really did. Maybe she could take him down to where she grew up, It’d be a better place for the both of them. “Hey Neptune, how do you feel about going to see the place where I grew up? it’s a really far walk from here but there you can practice hunting all you want, If you want I could even let you watch me hunt a deer.” She had to convince him that going down there was a good idea, after all he was a pup he didn’t know about the food shortage that had happened due to the winter.

Neptune's ears perked as he listened closely to miss Sora's words while she offered to take him to where she had grown up. He didn't know if he liked the idea of a really far walk, but he really, really liked the idea of getting to practice his hunting and getting to watch miss Sora hunt a deer! "Yeah!" he replied enthusiastically with a rapid nod of his head and a wide grin. "That sounds like fun! Le's go!!" He hopped in place a couple of times before turning and taking off through the trees. Of course it didn't take him very long to realize that he didn't know where they were even going. He skidded to a stop maybe a dozen feet from miss Sora, blinking at the realization. He turned back toward her with a guilty grin, his tail wagging away behind him. "Maybe you should lead, miss Sora!!" he called back to her with a giggle. He bounced back toward her, kicking up snow as he went. "What's it like there, miss Sora? Am I gonna like it there?" he asked as he padded along next to her, his golden gaze wide as he looked up at her. "Talk"
