It was quiet in their lands, but not because no one was there. It was just quiet because that was the nature of the place, she discovered. Sometimes calls rang out, but there were none that she found herself having to listen to save for the occasional one for a hunt or a meeting. Only one of those had happened thus far though, and she'd answered even though it hadn't really been required of her. All the better to get involved, she thought.

Today, though, she was tired from all the social interaction and the strenuousness of a hunt, and so she perched herself on a fallen tree and resolved not to move until she felt somewhat less tired. She'd gotten a good night's sleep the night before, but it was more of a bodily exhaustion than anything else. Not to mention a mental one too coming from all the talking she'd had to do, which really hadn't been much but still. It was exhausting, being part of a crowd like that. She'd just have to get used to it, given that she planned on living in a pack for the rest of her life.

Faelyn rested her head on her paws, enjoying the scenery around her, taking it in silently. She did so enjoy their little pack and everything that came with it.

Jayne hummed a little made up song to herself as she padded along through the mangroves. She didn't really have any place in particular to go today. In all honesty, her only objective at this moment was to move around to warm up a bit and enjoy the sunlight. She hated that it had to get cold. She liked moderate weather the best. Summer and winter were her least favorite seasons for sure. Although being here during winter had to be a lot better than being up in the north. The stories her mothers told them about when they used to live up in the north sounded awful!

As she was walking she spotted a golden-hued woman laying on a log resting and she realized after a moment that she recognized her from the pack hunt she had gone to a couple of days ago. She was always thinking that she would get to know more wolves so maybe she should start now! She smiled sweetly and padded over to the woman, hoping that she wouldn't mind her bothering her too much. "Hello!" she said cheerfully, her tail wagging gently behind her. "Do you mind if I join you? It looks like you got a pretty good sun-bathing spot."

Faelyn's head lifted when she heard the other's voice, not having heard her approach because she hadn't been paying attention to her surroundings, being so lost in thought. It took her a moment to figure out where the voice had come from, but once she spotted the younger woman she too smiled brilliantly. This one-on-one interaction was much preferred to the large group she'd been in a few days ago, and so she welcomed it despite her internal exhaustion.

"Of course, you're more than welcome," she replied. "I'm Faelyn, by the way." Best to introduce herself to her packmate so that they could be on a name basis with each other.

Her intent hadn't been to grab a prime sunbathing spot, but it seemed as though she had. It was all right, given that she was indeed willing to share, and thus far no one else had come along looking for it, so she didn't see the harm in it. She really did like this place, with how peaceful and calm it was and how nice everyone that she had met was.

Jayne smiled gratefully when the woman greeted her with an equally friendly smile and agreed to her request. She hopped up on the log that Faelyn was resting on and settled on her stomach as well, sighing contently as she got comfortable. Her ears perked toward the other woman again when she introduced herself. Jayne smiled again and replied, "It’s nice to meet you, Faelyn! I’m Jayne. You were at the pack hunt the other day, right?” She just wanted to make sure she wasn’t mistaken even though she was pretty positive that she had been. There had been a pretty big crowd of them all the same.

"Have you been in Fiori long?” she asked just to make conversation as she rested her head on her paws. She figured if they were going to be lying here together for a while she might as well get to know Faelyn a bit better! The sun did feel awfully nice though. Her coat was fairly thick like her mothers, but most of it was such a light color that it didn’t attract the same amount of heat that a darker coat might. Even Athena’s coat was several shades of gray darker than her own where the white wasn’t splattered over it.

Oh yeah, she had seen the girl at the hunt hadn't she. It was difficult to remember everyone she had seen because she had been rather out of sorts with so many wolves around that she didn't know. Still, she did remember seeing this girl and therefore nodded in agreement with her question. "Not very long," she admitted. "Just a few weeks honestly." She also hadn't done much in the pack since she'd joined, which she felt bad about, but she didn't know what she should do honestly. Faelyn was hoping they'd have a training session soon so that she could learn something about whatever they called the session about and get to know more members of her pack. Until then, though, she'd have to settle for meeting them singularly like this. She kind of preferred that if she was being entirely honest.

"How about you? How long have you been here?" Probably a while she guessed. It seemed as though there were quite a few wolves in the pack when she'd joined, though she didn't know how many or who. Maybe this woman could tell her if she asked and she had been around long enough.
