From the Manatee Bay where she'd first stumbled onto Auster she was southbound. Her paws taking her to where strange trees grew, their odd dense looking canopies giving her shade from the broiling sunshine of mid-afternoon. She knew not where she headed, only that she could not stop. Not yet. Perhaps not ever. Not until the feeling receded and her wandering paws decided it was time to settle down somewhere amidst some land. As yet however the tug to continue her journey drew her further and further away from the southern direction from which she'd arrived.

With a flick of her tail she galloped in a zig-zag pattern through the towering trees. She halted when she thought she saw blood oozing from a wound in the tree where some claws, likely that of a bear or a large wild feline had made their mark.

Lifting herself up onto her hindlegs, her forepaws touching the trunk of the bleeding tree she sniffed at the red ooze. She found it did not have the scent of blood, but something else. With a furrow of skin betwixt her eyes she swiped her tongue over the resin. That confirmed it wasn't blood at all, but the sap of the tree. Why it was red she knew not, but then she'd never seen these trees in her life before.

Akahito wasn't sure where his paws were taking him, but it was seemingly in the southern lands of wherever he had ended up in. It was the shade of trees and leaves, here and there, that made him finally stop walking, his pale gaze raising to stare up at the trees. They were odd, but they were offering him some shade and quite possibly a place to rest. Akahito wasn't feeling exactly tired, but there was still the slightest hint of pain in his legs. A silent sigh escaping his jaws, he moved forwards, to the nearest one, settling down at the base with his light eyes watching for any sign of movement. Maybe those living creatures would go on and leave him alone. Even laying there, he didn't exactly seem like the friendly type. Instead, there was hostility in his gaze if one would happen to look at him and meet his eyes.

After a few moments, a new movement in a nearby tree made him move his head slightly, ears raising as he turned his attention to the wolf. A female was standing at another tree nearby, but still not too close. Akahito was about to turn away and write it off as nothing until he saw the wolf raise up on her hind legs. He fell still, watching her with some sort of curiosity, although he wouldn't interrupt her. Why would he do that, anyways? So, instead, he continued to watch her from a distance, quietly questioning her motives. It was weird. This whole place was weird.

Turning his gaze away, his head moving to where it had originally been, he closed his eyes. Even then, Akahito didn't exactly look friendly. He was ready to stand up, even now, with the appearance that he was sleeping.

Lowering her fore-paws back to the ground she turned. Spotted another wolf. Her brows still furrowed. She drew back her upper lip. It lasted only a moment as she inhaled and smoothed her brow and lip, getting rid of the hostility in her own gaze. She did not care for males. They were good for only one thing. Unless they proved their worth to her.

"Thus far I've only run into males. Where are the females?" She inquired but did not approach too close to him. He would surely not fit into her world order. Not for long anyway for the males were useless save for reproduction or as slaves to do every little bidding of their superiors.

If she had the energy or inclination she might have tried to turn him into a slave. But there was something about him that screamed to her that he would not be so easy to control even if she won. Thus she decided against the desire to start collecting slaves. Until another time.
