Charm found it harder and harder to get out of her den now. She'd TRIED to go out and socialize once. Sure she had duties to attend to as a student or she'd be thrown from the pack. At this point she wasn't thinking that was such a bad idea. They'd just throw her out because she couldn't do anything right. All Charm "cared" about was herself right? Yet, she still longed for some sort of interaction naturally. So her tiny little paws would leave the den and out into the plains. Maybe.... she'd attempt to look for some herbs.

A sigh escaped her lips. How were you supposed to tell your family how you were feeling when you felt like a burden? Charm just wanted to sleep and never get up, but she knew someone would be sad.... hopefully. Her green eyes scattered on the ground. She'd tried to tie up her thoughts but at the end of the morning. She paced near the borders there. Looking out towards the lands. She could just walk and never come back... but that would be deserting she'd never live the name of her pack down. She knew that was wrong, so she sat and gazed across the scent border.

They had finally been assigned mentors, and training would start soon. The thing was, she didn't know what exactly she wanted to do. She was torn between being a healer, a hunter, or a fighter...though the latter she was very unsure of. She had the bulk to do it, but did she want to? She wanted to be able to help defend her home. Her family when it came down to it. But was she capable of that? Sighing, she wished she had the guts to seek advice from her mom or her...no. She shook her head. Her father was gone, there was no asking him for advice now, was there? She didn't know what happened to wolves after they passed away except feed the earth with their bodies. She didn't know about places that spirits went to, if they even went anywhere. Or if they were maybe tied to the earth, left to wander it forever. She walked slowly along the borders, her thoughts shifting to wondering what happened after one died. Mom had said they would always live on in memory and in their hearts. That they would no longer be there physically, but that it would be okay.

She hadn't really talked to anyone about how she felt after her father passed, but she wasn't sure if she could. She always felt maybe it was best to silently cope with it. Pretend that everything was okay. After all, it was a part of life, right? It wasn't like he had died a horrible death...he went peacefully...or so she hoped. Focused on the ground, she almost missed the scent of her sister nearby. Lifting her head, the large girl spotted her tiny sister a good few yards away, and her tail would wag a bit. Her and Charm hadn't spent much time together lately...in fact, she didn't think they really did since their dad died. She felt awful now that she thought about it...was she okay? She never did bother to ask that question. And she suddenly felt pretty selfish that she had only thought about herself and how she had felt about it all. Feeling guilty now, Okami wandered closer to her sister, her paws padding softly on the ground. "Hey Charm...how are you?" It was an awkward attempt at a greeting, but she wasn't sure how to start off after having realized she'd been neglecting her...

Charm was almost lost in her thoughts. Paws tingling with anticipation as suddenly she heard her sister and her head snapped towards the large albino. Now that they were at their full height, her sister towered over her. How was she doing... could she really say. So she smiled - she was selfish when she really shouldn't be. "I'm okay." the words were empty as she stepped back from the border a bit. Better get the temptation out of the way. The small girl turned to Okami.

"How are you?" she asked politely. She let her tail curl tightly around her haunches. Compacting her body as her green eyes still were a bit dull. She tried to hold her breath slightly as well.

Blue eyes watched her sister. Studying her as her tiny sister answered. She wasn't convinced with Charm's answer. She certainly didn't sound okay, anyway. If she didn't know any better, she would think she was trying to read too much into that response, but it was her sister. She knew her well enough to know that she wasn't "okay" like she tried to claim. Her frown deepened, ears falling back with uncertainty as she simply stood there. Her own gaze trailed out towards the lands beyond their territory, and she wondered what Charm was looking at. Was there something out there? Someone maybe? Or was she just here to think away from everyone else? Whatever the case, Charm might trust her enough to tell her eventually. Assuming she was here for a reason. "I guess I'm doing okay..." She drew a circle in the dirt with her paw, her gaze falling to the ground. "I miss daddy to be honest with you..." She didn't dare look at her sister. Yes, she missed him. But he was in a better place now, right?

It took Charm by surprise a little. Maybe she'd been too foolish to think her siblings were doing alright. Sure Enlil was outwardly sad as well, but honestly she was closer to Okami than she was to him. Okami missed daddy, but that was something that Charm only half felt. "I miss him a lot too." she nearly muttered as she looked again to the outsides of the territory. "I know big brother moved us here for saftey.... but.... I really miss home... out there. With the mines." she blinked a little and sighed. "I don't feel safe here anyway. I tried to help a wolf with a hunt and he only snapped at me." she didn't even dare say it was an older half sibling of there's.

"I just.... the north in Boreas calls to me. Like my place isn't to be here it's to be elsewhere. Here I'm just.... sad little charm whose too sad to even crawl out of her den in the morning." she sighed and tilted her head to the side. It was all part of life right? She shouldn't be sniveling like she had.

"I miss him a lot too." Her ears half lifted as she gazed at her tiny sister. Of course she missed him too. Who was she to think that she was the only one? Okami felt a little selfish in thinking that she was the only one that felt that way, and she felt bad that she hadn't talked to Charm about it. Okami, however, was somewhat in denial that it had even happened. Even though she knew full well that she would never see him again, part of her still felt like she could just run back to the pines, and he'd be there. But of course, it was all just her imagination. She frowned as her sister went on, ears pulling back when she mentioned someone had snapped at her. She knew who it was. There was no hiding it. "You're talking about Gryphon, aren't you? I...I kinda saw what happened when I was following a rabbit trail...I don't understand why he doesn't like us, but I've been afraid to ask him...or anyone, really." She simply didn't understand it. Was it because they were different? Or perhaps not littermates? Or was there some other reason she didn't know about? She knew they weren't close to their older siblings, and she hadn't really talked to them except for Dragon...it left her wondering though.

She leaned down to nuzzle her sister's head, realizing then just how tall she was and just how tiny Charm was. It was an incredibly huge difference, and it made Okami feel subconscious about her height. She was taller then all of her family, except for Lykos. But he wasn't ever around anymore. "I know how you feel, Charm. I miss the North too sometimes, but...big brother is in charge now, and I think he moved us here for a reason. I've seen the way mom has been for a while...back home, she looked so...I don't know...miserable? Like something was haunting her...she seems a little better now but..." She trailed off, shaking her head as she returned her focus to her sister. It was always just like her to worry about everyone, but now she was focused on her sister. "D-do you think...I mean...do you think about...going back?" She was afraid that Charm would leave her. She didn't want her sister to leave...would it be partly her fault though? She had kept them all at a distance since their father passed, part of her felt like this was her fault too for not spending more time with her.
