Kalliope stepped out of the den with a nervous flick of her ears. The pups really could have gone out of the den a few days ago, but she just wasn't ready yet. But she couldn't keep them in the den forever. She wasn't so worried about the boys, especially not Viho, they were both big boys. She was sure they could handle themselves. She was worried about Etain though. She kept telling herself that if she could survive this well for this long blind then she was figured Etain would be okay, but it was still hard. Kalli had never pictured herself as the protective mother type, but it seemed like there was a time for everything. She turned her head back toward the den entrance as she settled on her haunches, putting a little smile on her face. "Alright, you three, come on out! Stay close to me though, okay?" She kept her ears perked forward, listening for them as they came outside. It was fairly mild outside today and what little snow had fallen earlier was pretty much melted. The largest of the trio of pups stared up at Mother with widened eyes. They were going out! He turned to look at each of his siblings with a yip and a wag of his tail. "Comeon yews twos, Iah pwotect you from wha'ever a'ventu awaits us owside!" Of course Mother was there, so he was sure they'd be safe, but being the largest he felt a sense of protectiveness envelop him, especially when it came to their sister.

Turning from them he hurried after Mother whose voice always soothed him whenever he had a bout of fear himself. Which he didn't like to show as he burst out of the entrance. He closed his eyes as he was so unused to so much light and ever so slowly did he reopen them as he grew accustomed to the outside of their nesting den.

"Wow!" He exclaimed as he bounced around Mother in wonder as he sniffed at everything he saw, but kept close to her while waiting for his siblings to emerge. Without them it wouldn't be as fun to explore these new scents and sights.

Ronen peeked one eye open as their mother called to them from outside the den. He had been sticking close to Etain, though he need not have worried. As the middle child, at least in height, the flop earred boy felt responsible not just for keeping an eye on Etain and being a model for her, but also for not disappointing his larger brother. Their father seemed to think that he might grow about his size, while Viho could be even bigger, but Ron didn’t mind. He didn’t want to be overly huge necessarily. He knew it wasn’t a contest. Especially among their family.

But hearing Viho encouraged the youth to scramble to his paws. He was quick to move to Etain, knowing that Viho would also help look out for her. Ron couldn’t help but worry when it came to Etain getting up. She seemed to move around alright once she was standing but…well it couldn’t hurt to give her a paw. With a warm smile the white and silver boy began to wag his tail, his bicolored eyes of yellow and blue shining happily. “Veeho is al’eady out. Lez go!” Though he was eager to explore the new world outside of the den Ronen wouldn’t leave his sister until he was sure was on all three paws. So for now he wiggled in place, glancing at the opening of the den.

Etain perked up immediately when their mother told them that they were gonna go outside. Oh this was so exciting!! She watched Viho hurry outside after their mother, his vow to protect them making her tail wag. She loved her brothers so much. They were always looking after her. She looked up at Ronen at his encouragements to get going. She pushed herself up onto her paws with just a little bit of a stumble. She caught herself by leaning her shoulder on Ron's side for a moment, her tail wagging again as she licked his cheek. Now that she was up and mobile she hopped over to the den's entrance so that she could peek outside. She blinked so that her eyes could adjust to the bright sunlight as she carefully pulled herself out into the open. She immidiately went to Kalliope's side while she looked around at everything with big, wide eyes. "Whe' ya wanna go firs'?" she asked her brothers, her whole butt wiggling with the excited wagging of her tail. Her tail was wagging so hard that she almost knocked herself over, but she caught herself with a little hop.
