hey sister

It's hard to tell what's going through the mind of the winterborn, even for the boy himself. The pale child has stepped away from his family on this day, making his way to explore the world around. Though he did not leave the boundaries of Lirim territory, he was... away. Away and wandering, high stepping over the rolling lands. Strong. Always strong. Forever strong. He is strong as he shambles across the Dancefloor of the Gods. It left him with questions. Where were the gods? Had they forsaken this place? Had they left it, as he may one day as well? Were they somewhere far off and cold as stones? Had they died? Were they, fair mortals, all that remained? Torin steps easily across the ground, large paws leading him across the spongy spring ground. Head high, pale, shining in the light of the early afternoon. It hangs around the winterborn, warming him in ways he's not sure he recalls before. Heat is strange. He's not accustomed to it. Torin feels bizarre. Always bizarre. He is not quite empty, but adventure is working on filling him in the same way. Where were his siblings anyway? TORiN bet you'd be disappointed |

Summer time was a weird time, but it sure beat the heck out of being cold and in the snow all the time, that was for sure! She bounded across the plains, her short legs working extra hard to get her to where she was going. Where was that, exactly? Not even she knew! Maybe she could find one of her siblings to play with, or even her mom or dad! She didn't know where they all were right now, maybe she shouldn't have gone off so early to play with the butterflies. But the butterflies were always so pretty and so colorful, she just couldn't help herself. She was on the search for her twin brother Rory, but who she found was just as good! "Tor! Hey Torin!" She called out as loudly as she could, hoping to catch her brothers attention as she put on an extra burst of speed. Would her brother wanna play with her? Or maybe explore the territory with her? Only one way to find out, right!?
She didn't stop when she neared him. Instead, she aimed to barrel right into her larger brother. She could tell already that he would probably get as big as their dad, while she of course, would be pretty darn small. But she didn't mind, it meant that even when she got bigger, she could still ride on her daddy's back, and that sounded like a lot more fun then walking everywhere all the time. She giggled and laughed as she launched herself at Torin, closing her eyes as she waited for impact. |

It's as if out of nowhere that wretched racket starts up again. It takes all of Torin's self control to keep his hackles from going up-- that was rude. That was improper behavior and a must that he not engage. No. He would keep that from happening, even if it was the last thing he did. The only bit that escaped his notice was a bit by his behind, puffing up, hopefully without notice. Torin pretended that he wasn't irritated with the appearance of his sister, doing his best. "Yes, Kairi?" His voice is the flat, even monotone. There is the intonation of a question, but that is all. And there she is, crashing into his side. Though Torin was much larger, and though he'd braced himself, there was a certain force behind his smaller sister. An oof in his throat, tumbling over on his side. The winterborn collapses in a heap, awkward legs and too big paws. He's confused, but flails offhandedly as well. This was strange. She was trying to play, so he mouths slightly at the girl, unsure of what he's hitting-- if at all. He laughs, but it's strange, a little forced. Trying. Torin is trying to play with his sister, despite the little annoyance that she'd initially brought on. He smiles. Right. A smile. Tail wagging hesitantly. TORiN bet you'd be disappointed |

She made impact, and she made no move to brace for it as she instead bowls right over him as he went down. She rolled on top of him, giggling as he tried to mouth her and she rolled off of him only to quickly scramble to her feet and leap at him again, this time aiming to playfully nip his ear. "Hey Tor! Wanna play with me?" She pushed away from him, scrambling back away from him and lowered into a play bow, rump in the air and her tail wagging madly. She hadn't really been able to play with anyone else, and Torin was the only one she could find and whether he liked it or not, he was now in her cross hairs. "Momma is out doing alpha stuff and daddy went out hunting, I dunno where the others are. But I found you, and I wanna play with you!" She watched him with keen interest, tongue hanging out until she suddenly thought of something.
[color=#187cc9"Unless you dun wanna play?"[/color] She questioned, though her tail didn't wag any less than it already was. |

He's trying, at least. That's more than Torin can say for himself usually. His sister's teeth find purchase on his ear, flailing in an attempt to shove her off. Sure, they're playing. This is how you're supposed to play. The winterborn is trying to be normal, but it's hard sometimes. Stoic, usually. Still, with Kairi buzzing around... he'd try. He'd try to be okay. "Okay... uh... what are we playing?" The pale child's brow furrows, a bit of a sigh in his throat. She's giving him an option without... really... giving it. Girl things. He would try his best not to get frustrated. It was hard, of course, but he would do his best. It's important to be protective with your siblings. His tail twitches, watching his sister carefully. What were they going to play? What would they do. "Maybe we can explore..." Torin suggests, trying to find something productive to do. Frivolity was a waste of time, was it not?
