Lilith is curious about the plants, about the willows. About the great feathery trees that seemed to cast the longest shadows. It's a fading light, dusk around her shoulders like a familiar blanket. Stars would start showing their faces soon enough. They would begin to peek down from their suspension within the cosmos, and Lilith would be able to stare upon them once more. The blood moon baby has bright eyes and an even brighter wit. Nothing can touch her. Not tonight.

It's as if she's a part of the dusk itself. Pushing herself, driving herself, moving overland with such great force and excitement... it's unmatched. It's positively unmatched. Lilith is exploring through the trees, seeking herbs, looking for something... different. She's different. Something is different than usual within the bloody shouldered baroness, and that's scary. Well. It should be. Different should be scary, but it's the absence of fear that makes her who she is.

Darkness was on the horizon, but it hadn't come quite yet. At the feet of the hulking trees, Lilith wanders. She's safe here. She's more than safe. Night can come on as it may, and whatever it bring she'll be ready. The trees, of course, will be her home for now.

Amon picked up the scent of his daughter around midday, and had follower her leisurely into the evening. He occasionally liked to take time alone with each of his children, in part to gauge their skill and progress, and in part because he felt that it was truly important to develop an individual relationship with each of them. He was unskilled as a father, in many ways. He knew how to hunt, and would impart those skills to them. He knew how to fight, and would do the same. He had no clue how to guide them along their individual journeys without taking part in them, well... individually. So he dedicated this day to Lilith.

His ivory and auburn daughter stood out from the others in many ways. Not only was she smaller of stature, but her color reminded him at every glance of the female who had sired them. Luckily for her, she displayed none of the woman's weakness. She was strong, quick as a whip and becoming quite lethal with age. He had always supported her fondness for plants and herbs, ever encouraging her to hone her skills in this area. He could only assume this was what had brought her here to this damp, fertile land. Her trail led him deep into the heart of this odd forest, and he came across her just as darkness began to fall. "Lilith," he called out in a voice that was both gentle and strong.

He could see her lighter coat clearly amongst the swaying fronds. "How has the day treated you?" he asked by way of greeting. His hulking, shadowy form moved with a lithe and silent grace among the trees. It was a quiet evening, much of the day's heat fading alongside the sun. Around them a smattering of fireflies began to emerge, and he watched with lazy interest as their speckles of light began to appear amongst the shadows of the trees.

Lili looked to her father as he appeared. They spark and glimmer, absolutely alight. It's sharp, stark, a contrast to the low light of the evening. Things are strange. Things will continue to be strange, especially as a young god. "Father," she nods. There's a smile. She smiles to her father, nodding lightly. It's endearing. She's endearing herself, there's a wit and sparkle. Tail twitching, head high. So high, high on life and existing. It's that little spark of madness. It's bright and brilliant, hot and frank. All at once. It kept her together without doing too much to drag her off course.

"Warm, actually. I found some nightshade, but I haven't figured out how to collect it without... risk." Lilith snorts a soft laugh to herself, head tilting to her father. Nightshade was, of course, one of the most dangerous things. One of the most immensely dangerous things you could hold, and she would use it to the fullest extent. It's whole. She's keeping herself whole, and there's something bizarre in the air. Lilith may be the thing in the air that's bizarre. That's okay too, and it fits her well.

"How was your day, dad?" It's soft. She's wondering, curious. Openly curious and willing to show that with her father. Lilith needs to know and needs to be good at knowing.

Amon did not love much in the world, save for his children. In each of them he saw a unique light, a destiny grander than his own, just as Amon had been more grandiose than his father. It would go on and on, and he felt a very personal strength in that. As so, he swelled a bit as he regarded Lilith. She was such a vibrant youth, and so incredibly intelligent. She gave him a respectful greeting, tone peaceful, a gentle smile; playing the finely-tuned game with practiced precision.

Her answer was concise, but informative, he reflected while appreciating her brevity. He was glad to see she was being productive, even as he was beginning to supervise them less and less in their daily adventures. "Nightshade, hmm?" He could only imagine the uses she would have for it. He let out a dry chuckle. "Don't kill any of your siblings. Or Seth," he added on, eyeing her through slits. "Your Aunt seems to enjoy wrangling the unwilling, maybe you might ask her for a but of help in finding... subjects," he said, preserving what delicacy he could, even as a glinting smile sat on his lips.

She asked about his day, and Amon practically purred. A low rumble, a thoughtful noise, echoed out from the depths of his chest. "Uneventful, I'm afraid. This land doesn't hold my interest, and I grow tired of bumping into curs around every bend." He spat. This place was pretty enough, but old scent trails littered the area, and he knew it would not be long before another mortal mongrel came along to piss on his day. "Where do you suppose we should head next?" He asked her in an even tone, a spark of interest lighting in his eye. He was taking great pleasure in testing his children's analytical skills. Simple questions such as this could tell him a variety of things about their familiarity with the land and decision making skills as well. Of course, he schooled his face into a neutral mask, waiting to see what Lilith might have to say.
