Piper padded down the rocky path toward the beach, her tail lightly wagging behind her. Her paws slipped a time or two, but nothing enough to make her pause or reconsider. Her paws were on sand before long anyway so she didn't figure there was any harm done! She smiled as she looked up and saw the pretty shore line stretched out in front of her. This place sure was beautiful. She trotted up to the edge of the water and looked down to watch the waves lap up over her pale forepaws. Another successful exploring trip if she did say so herself! She took a couple of steps back away from the water since it was quite chilly before she settled down on her haunches. She was usually pretty strict on herself about getting back to the pack lands before dark, but she kinda wanted to watch the sunset since she had such a pretty view. "Talk" "You" Think

He was taking the evening off and had decided to travel away from the pack lands. It was a rare moment that the male just wanted to move away from the pack and just go somewhere unfamiliar. To go somewhere where it would be less likely to see someone familiar. He felt like he needed something new for a change, heck maybe he may even come across something interesting. If anything he could just relax for the night then get back to work tomorrow. He had been stressing himself out lately, picking up his pace and stepping in to make sure the pack was well fed and their stock for the winter was buried and ready. Now that he felt ready he could finally get a little rest before tracking prey movements again. Starting down the rocky path the hunter paused as a fresh scent filled his nose. Perking his ears swiveled forward and he lifted his head and his gaze as he searched for the owner. This was when the male was able to see the beauty these lands held as the light from the setting sun mirrored off the salty waters. His eyes also see a wolf sitting on the shore, a wolf he didn't recognize. Wagging his tail the male climbed down the rocks onto the soft sands and padded alongside the trail of the other wolf. Letting out a low bark to let the other know of his presence as he approached her. He stopped a few feet away to give her space. "Evening," he greeted his tail wagging again. Piper heard a bark behind her, the voice making her ears perk with surprise. She hadn't notice anyone near her before then, but at least whoever it was that was getting her attention was polite enough to warn her so she didn't startle. She looked back over her shoulder at the man that had markings and colorings that almost reminded her of a fox. Her tail wagged gently behind her as he came over to her, scattering some of the sand under her tail in the process. She liked meeting new wolves, especially when they seemed as friendly as he did. She noticed from his scent that he was from Fiori and she assumed that Fiori and Abaven were still on good terms so she was sure her dad wouldn't be mad if she hung out with him for a little bit! She smiled as he greeted her, replying, "Good evening!" She motioned with her muzzle to the spot on the sand beside her, saying, "You're welcome to join me if you'd like! I was just watching the sunset." Whether he joined her or not she would look back out toward the water with a smile. "Oh, I'm Sandpiper, by the way," she added with a chuckle as she realized that she hadn't even introduced herself. Jeeze, she was kinda bad at this whole socializing thing. "Talk" "You" Think

She replied in return and also even invited him to join her. She was watching the sunset something that Jackson normally never had any time to do. He was always busy with his tracking, trailing, and hunting. Today though he had taken a much needed break and he did have the time for once. Moving over to the spot the female pointed to, he settled down beside her and joined her in looking to the pretty sky and the water. The young women introduced herself and Jackson smiled again. She had a pretty name in his opinion. "It's a pleasure to meet you Sandpiper, my name is Jackson," he replied. He gazed out over the water again his mind stewing over what he should talk about. It felt like it had been forever since he had met a new face. There was so much they could talk about, but he didn't know where to start. The only thing better than enjoying the sunset was enjoying it with someone else. Now that she had some company she didn't feel guilty at all about staying out late. Meeting someone new and making new friends was a great reason to be a little late getting home, right? She thought so anyway. She gave a little shake of her head when Jackson asked if she came here to watch the sunset often. "This is my first time coming out here actually! I was just doing some exploring and I found this beach only a few moments ago. I thought the sunset was too pretty to pass up so I ended up sitting here. And now you're here with me so it's even better!" Her words were cheerful and a bit rushed as she rambled on, getting caught up in her own excitement like she usually did. She knew that she should probably be more "grown up" and "adult" for her age, but that had never been something she had been good at. "What about you?" she asked after a moment, opening the floor for her new friend to talk since she had been sucking up all the air until now. "You live kind of near here right?" "Talk" "You" Think

The sky was so pretty with all the colors and it reflected in the water making it seem like it was all sky everywhere. He glanced back over to Sandpiper, his tail gently wagged. She was vary attractive and easy on his bi colored eyes. Most of her fur even seemed close in color as the sand they currently sat on. She had white socks and splashes of grey markings in some spots. He was curious to know where she came from and if any of her markings was a family trait like his white eye patch was. It had been a while since he had a nice long chat with someone and Piper seemed like she wanted the company. She shook her head and went on to explain that this was her first visit. At the mention of him being here made things better he smiled, his tail wagging lightly. It was refreshing and nice to hear. She went on to ask about him and then asked if he lived near here. He nodded to her question, he did in fact live nearby. "It's my first time in this territory, I normally don't move far from the pack I live in. My pack, Fiori, is actually only a territory over.
