Morning was a phenomenon gilded and bathed by the first light of dawn, an epoch so rarely witnessed it was often mistaken for a fable. Slender fingers of sunlight curled around the equator, and though the dormant land still a hostage of obscurity, it offered a promise of warmth. Early autumn days were characterized by color and warmth, humid tendencies inviting mist to shroud the shoreline of the lake. Despite its opaqueness, the rock nestled at its heart remained discernible, the very epitome of the quiet waters mimicking the very foot of a wolf. It was rather remarkable for those who have never laid eyes on it, to those who underestimated natures design capacity.

Roused eyes of an equally golden hue briefed the shoreline, its vacancy was perhaps a facade in the mist as many scents whirled in its ghastly tendrils. Nevertheless company did not intimidate her, though limited visibility in a new area did hold concerns. Gently she strode closer to the waters edge, the quietude of the place unrivaled; even the waters seemed to ebb in silence. The only audible noise was the choppy cadence of Oriana’s footfalls as she pulled up sand in her travels. Her primarily black coat was but a faint silhouette against the pastoral colors of sunrise through the mist. It seemed to mute their brightness and somewhat contain the light, but ultimately morning would prevail.

Her motion only ceased when both forepaws were submerged beneath the waters surface. She lowered her well sculpted crown to drink; unwavering eyes bouncing from her right to her left in anticipation. Excitement welled up in her, as an avid explorer finding new terrain was among her top interests. The land all to her east was unexplored, but certainly wouldn’t remain in that state for too long. Corpulent skull ascended, yet she remained, fixated in a daydream like state staring out towards the shrouded rock; a gentle huff expelled from her expanding chest, echoing delicately before tapering off into the calmness of dawn.

The white wolf was glad she had gotten out of the heat. The west really was a bit too hot for her, even for someone who was more used to the warmer weather. Wolfpaw lake offered her a calm and cool terrain one that wasn't barren of plants either. It meant that it would be abundant in herbs and more. Her tail hung high as she took in a deep breath, fresh from the leaves that the trees pushed out. Her lungs filled with clean energy as delicate white paws pushed themselves into moist soil from the rains. When she approached the lake however her senses were flooded with the scent of another. Her green eyes moved over and about ten feet to her right was another wolf taking a drink from the lake. The mist flowing off the water in beautiful patterns making Hailey become momentarily distracted from the organic visitor.

The other female almost seemed just as distracted as she had been when it came to the lake. The waters sparkling as the sun rose above the crevices of the earth. Hailey loved to watch the flowing water, even if she was doing nothing it relaxed her heart in more ways than one. Shaking her head though she went to close the distance between her and the other. Carefully stalking the edges of the lake, ten feet soon became four and Hailey stopped there. Giving off a gentle bark - which echoed a lot louder than it should have with the silence that shrouded them of course.

As ghastly as the shroud was the visitor, clad in milky tresses that bounced with life as she too basked in the impressive lakes midst. Her delicate head fell to the waters surface, jaded eyes moving to meet Oriana’s own. In an dauntless manner she rose, chords ripping through the shroud as she yipped into the opaqueness; in the shroud it amplified in reactivity and seemed to linger longer, moving off with purpose until silence dawned on the pair once more. Her gestures seemingly harmless, remaining at a casual distance, though an introduction never bridged the two to conversation. Auric eyes briefed her form prior to settling on her gaze once more; her slender jowls unhinged without haste and from within she drew words heavy with curiosity.

“It is easy to see you enjoy the lake as much as I do. What are you thinking, stranger?”

Her voice was very much like the waters that pooled before them, calm, fluid and unwavering; though there was something inviting, something almost sultry that curled around every syllable articulated. Twin pinna fell lazily to the sides of her skull despite her anticipation for an answer, her bodice retreating from the water ever so slightly until the grainy beach was dry enough for her to recline. A gentle simper prevailed from under a facade of stoicism, and illuminated her like the beach in growing light. Once more she disrupted the mute atmosphere, her words ever fluid.

”Oriana Fabre, if you were wondering.”

Oriana, that seemed to be a very strange name. It had a nice ring to it though, something Hailey enjoyed doing was meeting others. Almost as much as she did treating them. It didn't seem like there was going to be any hostility so Hailey smiled. Falling back to her usual habits and wagging her tail back and forth. "I've never been here before, so seeing it took my breath away. If I didn't know any better I would've thought you were a ghost!" Hailey exclaimed as she sat herself down. Tail curling around her hind legs.

"My name's Hailey Time, are you from around here?" So far Hailey had been meeting a lot of newcomers like herself. It was a bit surprising really the wolves she had been running into. Out of all of them though they were nice, and willing to help her when she had been trying to dig out some herbs. One even had let her treat him, she felt like there was a lot going on here for her.
