Morgan stood in the middle of Veteran's Plateau. She closed her eyes hoping her children would come. Pepper hadn't answered to any of her calls since she left, and she hadn't seen Rumble since he went to go look for Pepper. Along with the problems she was having with her children, she was still keeping the fact that she could no longer have children from Lovatt.

Opening her eyes and smiling up at Lovatt, she wondered when she would tell him. She also hoped that they would like one another. Turing away and lifting her muzzle to the sky her call to her children rang out. After a few moments the woman fell silent and watched for a few moments before stepping into her husbands side. "Lets hope they come." her voice full of doubt as they weren't exactly getting along.

(OOC: Ok my lovelies, sorry its short. Please let Lovatt post first, Thank you.)

They had gone off in search of Morgan's children. He wasn't sure what was wrong with her, but something was off, and Lovatt wanted her to tell him. He would not rush the process, however. When she wanted to tell him, she would. And until then, Lovatt would wait patiently. He had waited six years for her love; he could wait a little longer. For whatever she remembered or didn't remember, Lovatt had managed to capture the heart of the female that he had fallen in love with even before he knew what love was, and that was enough for him. She, in all of her glorious imperfection, was enough for him. Whatever flaws she possessed, whatever had happened to her while he was gone, he loved her endlessly, and he hoped to prove that with this, by loving her children as much as he loved her.

His tail waved slightly as she spoke, voice soft in the cool air. "I'm sure that they'll come, love." Lovatt murmured softly, settling down to wait, his side pressed against hers. Brown and white fit together perfectly, and despite the sharp contrast between their fur colors, Lovatt thought that they looked perfect together. Though that was due almost entirely to her, to her beauty.

Nudging Morgan lightly, Lovatt leaned down to press his muzzle against her ear. "They'd have to be crazy not to." He murmured softly, "And in case I haven't mentioned it recently, I love you." There was still a sense of joy in saying that. He loved her. And she loved him. They belonged to each other. Together, they would make things work. He was in the prime of his life, they had found a pack to join. They would be happy. They would get the happily ever after that he thought had been ripped away from him four years ago, when his pack had been killed.

Pepper heard her mothers call and debated on going just to make her feel terrible...but then she thought better of it. She was her mother, and she didn't want to give the man she was to meet bad feelings about her right off the bat. What she wanted was for him to know exactly what kind of wench her mother was, then and only then would the peppered lass be happy. Everyone had left her but uncle Luke and it pissed her off, left her unwilling to let anyone get close enough for her to love them.

She hadn't been too far of when Morgan had called so it hadn't taken long for her to reach the Veteran's Plateau. It was easy to tell when she had arrived as strange mettle objects scattered the land. Only a few moments later the white wench came into view with a brown man who looked to be the same age as her mother and uncle. Even from the distance she was at she could clearly see that the man dwarfed the woman who leaned into his chocolate fur.

As the lass drew close she noticed the changes on her mothers body. One of her ears was nearly ripped in half and a scar on her stomach that was barely noticeable. She guessed that the past had come back to haunt her. Even with the old scars on her pelt her mother was still beautiful. Pepper had gained a few scars herself, one on her tail...completely hidden by fur another on her back paw that was barely noticeable and a few scratches on her maw that you couldn't even tell were there because the were so small. She was just as beautiful as her mother if not more.

Her eyes stayed on Morgan as she spoke. "Morgan." her tone was that of an aggravated and betrayed wolf but when she turned her attention to the man her face was no longer a mast but a friendly smile and even her voice went soft and friendly "You must be the some one Morgan wanted me to meet. I don't know your name but I am Pepper" when it came to speaking of the white woman, Pepper refused to claim the wench as her mother...not any more.

A call was sent through the air and Rum knew it was time. He still hasn't home to Tortuga for a home, but maybe he didn't want a home either. He didn't know anymore. The ring hit his ears, and only seconds later his own howl let out, calling for his sister. Of course he expected her not to come but he surely would not let his mother stand alone. It could be the last time they get with each other, and he supposed that he should at least say goodbye.

He stood for a few moments, before taking another step. Was he ready for this? He didn't think there was going to be someone else, someone he could call "Step-Father."

His legs spun around, and he started walking to his call, taking all the time in the world.

He was surely surprised when there was another brown man here, but he was more surprised to see pepper. His footsteps stopped a while back from the group of wolves,as he analyzed the three. And then he set his head low to the ground and approached them.

"Pepper..."

All his focal was set on pepper, but he was now apart of this mound of wolves. And this male was about to realize how broken this family really was.

Oh how she loved this man. He was always a shoulder to lean on when she needed him the most, always there to reassure her. His words made her smile...crazy wasn't exactly how she would have described her children, but none the less it still made her smile. She leaned into him more only to receive a nudge and him stating that he loved her her smile grew and she looked up at him. "I love you too"

It wasn't long after she had called for her children that her black and white peppered daughter appeared in the distance. It was this child that she was most worried about not showing, it was this child that had completely ignored any attempt from Morgan to see her, it was this child who hated. The white woman had been so excited to see her daughter after so long. Sadly the girl crushed that feeling with the look on her face, the tone in her voice, and how she addressed her. Pepper no longer considered her, her mom. She was nothing to her daughter and it hit her, hard.

She had to fix this, but she had no idea how to. How was she suppose to fix something that should have been unbreakable. She was so rapped up in the fact that her daughter hated her that she hadn't noticed her son had arrived...at least not until he spoke his sisters name. Apparently he was shocked that she was even here. She knew at that very moment, that very instant that Lovatt had no idea what he was getting himself into, what she was dragging him into. She had no idea what to say to get rid of the tension that felt like it was trying to drown her.

The introductions began with a lovely female who called herself Pepper. Morgan's daughter, he was guessing, and he cast a thoughtful navy gaze in the young female's direction. "I am indeed the one that your mother," He stressed the word slightly, pausing as he held the female's gaze, "Wanted you to meet. It's a pleasure to meet you, Pepper. My name is Lovatt." Abruptly, he changed tacks, offering a friendly greeting to meet her own. She was beautiful, like her mother, and he could, of course, see where she got it from.

The other wolf that appeared hardly seemed to notice Lovatt and his mate. Instead, his attention was focused purely on the wolf that Lovatt seemed to be his sister. "Hello," He spoke softly, observing the black and white male in turn as well. He was handsome, with clear hints of his mother in his appearance. They were both lovely pups, though they didn't seem to be the happiest of families. But Lovatt was no stranger to such things. The pack he had been born in was far from perfect. And they might all be dead now, but they had never been perfect.

Perfection was overrated anyways.

He nudged the white female beside him, nuzzling her lightly as he examined the two wolves. "They're amazing. Like you." His voice was soft, directed largely at Morgan, though it was possible that the other two could hear him.

Rumble tried to remember when he last talked to Pepper. She ended up leaving, running away with despair. And Rum almost couldn't stand it. But she was gone by the time he could even say a word. Pepper was the only one he could truly be close to, and she was only a grasp away before she threw away his trust.

Sure he loved his mother, it was what he had left. She didn't even know where he wanted to lay down to die. He was really sick, but he was never to tell his family about what was to come of him.but everyday he was yet to tell someone, the illness was to increase. And yet he thought he would die quickly, painlessly, and he was up for something. The cancer was to spread throughout his body, and it wouldn't be quick or painless.

His thought was interrupted by a males voice, his eyes moving off pepper and onto the male who claimed his mother. This would be his step-father, but he wasn't too anxious about the man.

"Oh..."

It was all he said, his eyes looking lifeless across his blue orbs. And at that point he paid attention to the person who let the call out in the first lace. His eyes softened to her gaze and put his head back to the ground avoiding the eye contact anymore.

The brown male had given her his name and in turn, even though he seemed to want her to call Morgan her mother, a smile. She typically hated anyone who tried to make her call Morgan mother...but under these circumstances, she simply put on a mask aside from the smile, as she spoke."Indeed...only you may not feel the same. Once you truly know our family that is." she practically snarled the word 'family' and glared at her mother before smiling back at Lovatt.

The mask failed her when her brother had spoken her name How dare he, what the hell makes him think he could speak to me after what he did. a cold and hellish glare was aimed directly at her brother. Blue and red eyes fell upon her sibling with anger, she loved him...but she really didn't like him right now. "Rumble." her voice, however in a calm tone was just as cruel as the look in her eyes. One one side of the coin the peppered woman wanted to tear him limb from limb, but on the other side she just wanted him to come home so she could forgive him and give him a big wolf like hug as she covered his cheek in sisterly kisses. She couldn't bring herself to do either though, so it all got bottled up inside and it was making her hate the world.

The only think that broke her death glare was Lovatt giving a greeting to the wolf who was suppose to be her brother and then turning to the woman who was suppose to be her mother and saying that she and Rum were amazing. She almost smiled again...that was until they were compared to Morgan. That in itself pissed her off more than anything. The mask that had cracked in multiple placed when Rumble had spoken to her was now shattered and laying on the ground at her feet...or that's how she imagined it anyway. It would have taken a much longer time to piss her off on any other subject as her fuse was a long one, but when it came to some one comparing her to her mother she would immediately blow up and take it out on anyone close enough for her to wrap her jaws around. Luckily for these wolves they were, in a way, still family...no matter how mad she was at them.

Her eyes filled with what could have been mistaken for hate as a snarl ripped from her and her jaws snapped together at Lovatt. "You will never again compare me to that wench. She and I are nothing alike. She didn't want anything to do with me when I was a child and I still claimed her as my mother. Now that I know what that whore is, I want to be anything but her." her words were meant to cut as her voice came out more of a snarl than anything. She half expected her brother or Lovatt to stand up for her, but she knew, just knew the one thing that wouldn't happen, was that her mother would stand up for herself.
