In the center of the continent known as Ptolemy, on the planet Mu Arae Gamma, and in the heart of an enclosed ring of mountains, lies the realm of Centauri. After thousands of years of isolation from the rest of the world, a calamity has opened a fissure through the rocky gates. To escape a curse of famine and drought, the wolves of Ptolemy risk their lives to venture into a land known to them only in legend.


But the wolves of Ptolemy aren't the only newcomers to this place; the same calamity that opened the mountains has torn portals through space and time itself, and strangers from other worlds entirely have been falling through to its surface.


There is more to worry about in Centauri than these aliens who seem so like them, however. The concentration of magic dwelling there births terrible storms and houses beasts unlike anything ever seen before. Ancient, towering creatures like the rare dragons of myth, flocking in abundance and sharing the same prey.
