It seemed as if he were lost.

Creeping among the dunes, he watched with patience as the winds continued to blow. Eyes wide open, he inhaled with a slight cough. So far nothing but silence upon this dreary place. He was not afraid, only baffled as to how he managed to stumble upon here. Managing a sigh, he continued onwards despite it all.

It was sort of nice to be alone for once. He relished the chance at solitude, despite the cold front sweeping in. Nothing but sand for miles around. As he trekked forth he spotted a rabbit, trembling all by it's lonesome. Without a word he gave chace, breaking free of his confines as it thrust it's way to freedom. Too late however, with a snap he snagged it, a squeal as it protested, then, silence once more.

Blood dripping slowly upon the earth, a sacrifice to please the best of him. He deposited his catch and tore into it, greedy crunching as he devoured skin and bones. At least he wouldn't go hungry. At least he made it, this far.

"Speech."

OOC: typical Mara cursing occasionally.

This was wayy too far, you ran too damn far! She'd come to realize her near fight that panned out differently than expected(there had to be a better word but she wasn't accustomed to describing such things) had not ended without consequences. It started with the continued haziness and increased emotional state, and was further confirmed with the ill feeling that never seemed to leave entirely. Why her?

Back to the matter at hand. Having gone from the frozen tundra of the north to deep snow banks from a harsh winter in the middle of the continent, it was a shock to suddenly be in a desert. This was not better, this was worse, she was ready to head back and run off in a different direction despite not really knowing what she was running from. Minor details never stopped Mara before, they wouldn't start now. She'd just begun the walk back when she saw a pale man up ahead, feasting on a small rabbit. Stopping a distance away that was actually respectful for once, she watched him and murmured, "Can't be very filling. Seems the desert is a shit place to get a snack."

Mara is rude, lazy, and really likes to swear sometimes. She is not pleasant in the slightest.

stars are only visible in darkness

This was different, this scene was different from the snowy wonderland that was that one lake. It was all dirt. Well, sand but same difference. It went for miles, farther than his eyes could see, not that Saint's eyes were exceptional, it was still a lot of sand and dunes. Even with it being winter, the sun still warmed the sand dunes, it was much more comfortable on his paw pads  and in between his toes than the snow was. It was such an open space, it made his legs ache, the sort of ache one would have to do something spontantious, although there wasn't much for spontaneity here in this barren desert, running was a good alternative.

Saint started at a fast walk and then a jog and then kept that pace because running in the sand was a lot harder than it looked. Especially sand that was as loose as it was here. It wasn't long until the adolescence was out of breath when he reached the top of a particularly tall dune, his mouth was hanging open and his tongue lagging out on the side. His eyes caught onto two figures of contrasting colors, from the distance between himself and the two wolves and the time he arrived he was only able to catch the tail end of what the darker wolf had said. "Snahck?" He voice was barely above a whisper when his eyes fell upon the deceased rabbit the paler wolf had. "That's no snahck, that there is a dingy. Ah bare crumb." Saint scoffed as he called out to the two strangers, slowly skidding down the dune he was on top of. It was surprisingly slippery at the top of it, the sand was fine and loose enough that it kept sliding down to ground level with every step he made.

and i,

i feel so alive
