We Will Not Go Quietly

There was an eerie quiet over the North where the woman once made her home in Yfir. Her heart panged with thought for what once was… and Bernie wondered if any of the creatures she once knew still lurked in these lands of Boreas. The female breathed in silently, glancing out in the depths of The Red Forest. It felt so long since she last set her sights on this place… and Bernie gave a soft sigh. How times could change… and time was a cruel mistress. She shook her head slowly, bi-colored gaze shifting towards lesser traveled lands.
It was hard to decide where to go at this point in time. She’d been wandering almost like a lost soul for so long… where was the right path anymore? She closed her eyes, a frown crossing onto her muzzle. Had her parents ever felt this lost? Felt so… uncertain of the path to take? It seemed hard to believe to Bernadette, especially with her mother, but perhaps Destruction had her moments of uncertainty to.
Ears perked up as Bernie opened her bi-colored eyes once more. It was so quiet… not even the wind seemed to stir on this winter morn. But how long was she to be alone? Surely there was some manner of beast that would come across her sooner or later?
