Brimstone Lake - Navigation

Pyralis was taking a break from the kids.  They'd been fussy all morning, Asharya still wasn't feeling well and Ashiel seemed to be misbehaving because of it.  He was restless and sensitive and causing way more trouble than he usually did and on top of that her servant girl was flustered and stressed and constantly demanding that Pyralis let her go and search for better herbs.  Pyralis denied her.  Seth or one of her family members could bring herbs back to Lydia.  No matter how much the girl swore she wouldn't try to run away Pyralis felt better knowing she was staying put near the den where the rest of her family could keep watch.  She was enjoying her re-found freedom far to much to let such a perfect fit of a servant going slipping through her claws. The behemoth stretched out her toes in the black soil as she gazed out across a boiling lake.  The place smelt heavily of brimstone and every so often the earth would shiver under her paws.  There was something mystical about the experience of feeling as if the earth was breathing under you and she found the sensation transformative, almost meditative. Mystro went to the Brimstone Lake slowly, he walked towards the lake and then sat down in front of it. He stared into the water for some time before noticing the other wolf. He looked to her before giving her a small smile.

"Hello there, my name is Mystro, this lake is rather beautiful, isn't it?"

He smiled and turned back to the lake, staring into it for some time. He was sat down with his tail curled around him calmly.

Pyralis let her thoughts drift as she gazed at the lake. Her thoughts rose like tendrils of steam off into the atmosphere until she noticed the presence of black and wait male asking her about the lake. She let his words fall on her ears and she left them there to the silence for a moment before nodding in agreement. "It is indeed, shame the air has to carry such a strong odor but then perfection isn't a thing to be found on this earth I suppose. No sense in looking for what isn't there." She rolled her shoulders lightly forward. "Do you come here to stare at the water often or are you just passing through?" "Talk" "You" Think

Mystro listened to her as he stared at the water before looking to her. He gave a small smile before shaking his head. It was the first came he came here. Slowly Mystro looked towards the sky and began speaking.

"No, it is the first time I've come here. Although, perfection is something that has to be earned. Now let me ask you something. Do you stare into the sky often? Do you look up to the stars, gaze at them, admire them?"

He spoke in a soft calm tone and when he was done he looked back to her with a small smile. Of course he knew her answer. She would have no knowledge of the Great Sky Spirits, well he doubted so anyway. He just wanted to hear her answer though even if he knew what it would be.

Pyralis gazed at the man curiously as he tipped his head to the sky. She followed his gaze with a frown and when he began to speak she turned her sight back to him, her head titling just slightly to the side. He had an odd manner of speaking and she wondered if he was high. She snorted at his comment about perfection knowing full well in her selfish heart that some were just born with it, like her family. Besides, she couldn't imagine how a land would earn perfection anyway. He asked her about the stares and she rolled her shoulders in a lazy shrug, a non-answer. "Yes, I gaze at the sky often. That is how I navigate in the night but I have no great feelings for them one way or another. They serve their purpose." She chuckled suddenly. "Although they do bring to mind a celestial fire spirit I seduced recently… I wonder what he's getting up to." She let silence fall a moment before speaking again. "Are you a navigator as well? Why is it you stare at the sky?" "Talk" "You" Think

Natha had been keeping an eye out for the strange large woman she'd ran into in the cathedral. Well… not so much keeping an eye out as keeping an eye on. Spying, stalking, they were all such unflattering terms. She thought of it more as destiny and for ill or good she knew she needed to speak with this woman, was certain she'd met her before though she couldn't remember where. The stench of brimstone made her wrinkle her nose in disgust. As the plumes of ill smelling smoke parted Natha smiled, grinning at the woman before slipping off through the smoke knowing full well that dogs had a hell of a time resisting the urge to chase cats.

Pyralis stretched lightly, giving the stars one more glance before returning her sight to the horizon that was ever beckoning to her. That's when her sight landed on the cat. Her gaze narrowed as the creature disappeared into the misty haze of the lake and for a moment she was wondering if she was seeing ghosts. "Excuse me. I have a spirit to catch." With an irritated growl she began her pursuit of the feline. The creature managed to slip from her grasp the last time their paths crossed but she wasn't going to let it happen again.
