He hadn't been back from exploring for very long. His and Faine's travels hadn't been very fruitful and, while she'd managed to find some herbs, nothing about any of the territories had suggested that it'd be enough to get them through past winter. Now all he had to do was tell Dragon and hopefully they'd get to leave soon for the raid. The longer spring went on the more antsy he got. Surely the herbs were beginning to grow well in the northern continent and before long they'd have more than enough to go scavenge from another pack. That and he'd finally get to let out some pent up aggression on some undeserving twit. He wasn't quite sure what had possessed him to come out here to the dried up plains. An idea had come into his mind while him and Faine had traveled. At first it'd only started off as an idea, but the more he thought about it the more he realized it was something he wanted to do. Challenging for a higher position. Being in charge of anybody wasn't ever something he'd originally thought about doing until now. When they were younger he'd never been upset that he hadn't gotten to be the heir to the pack. It was too much responsibility and seeing the problems they produced for his mother had been enough to deter him from ever leading anything. It was the argument with Gryphon that had sparked the idea really. Dragon had gotten to demote him so easily that he felt a twinge of jealousy about it. It wasn't just the need for power that drove him to want one of Talis' beta positions. No. It was also the desire to make more of himself and do something. Being around Faine and watching her work so hard to try and help out with the pack had struck a bit of a nerve within him and realized he'd been slacking up until now. Now he just wanted to force himself to be productive and help take some of the weight off his shoulders. What better way to do that than aim high? So he finally came to a stop and let his head raise high as he let out a loud summon for his brother. Walk, "Talk" Think |

Head rose from his forepaws, ears perked forward with intense curiosity as the summons from his brother reached him. He'd been sitting and thinking for a while about what to do with the pack, the raid was definitely something he was still going through with, and even though the meeting had turned into a shit fest because of Gryphon's disagreement with it, and even though part of him felt bad for putting his brother in the rank that he did, Kimahri had convinced him it was for the best. After all, Gryphon had tried to make him look like a fool in front of the entire pack, and that was just not something he'd stand for. Maybe things would have been different had his brother confronted him in private, but publicly? No way. He got what he deserved for now, and quite frankly if his brother didn't like the way the pack was being run then he was welcome to leave. Yes, Dragon had pride issues, but that's not something he would admit to anyone.
His thoughts would run astray, Kimahri reminding him that Kharnage had called for him and with a quick nod, Dragon hastily rose and shook out his coat. He was curious to know what Kharn wanted, so he made his way down the halls towards his brother. "What's up Kharn?" He was unaware of his brother's intentions, the earthen male stopped before his brother, curiosity plain in his emerald gaze. |
Dragon never goes anywhere without his Dragon armor, assume he is always wearing it unless otherwise mentioned! He also has a pair of seeing eye jaguars, assume they're always present unless otherwise mentioned.
