ooc: After the raid, keeping raid details vague

Enough time had went by that she had felt it was time for her to finally get out of the pack lands. Since the raid she had stuck close to the main part of the pack, doing what she could to help the others and making sure food was provided. Now she needed a break and her path took her to the packs borders. She normally didn't patrol, but since the raid she was more on edge, fearing the intruders would come back for another attack. She moved along the border edge, fallowing the nicely stacked stones that were starting to look like a small wall. She made sure the stones were in place and that no strange scents lingered at the borders.

Most of the borders had been completely fine and her building tension had been eased, up until she crossed a strange scent looming around the borders. Her nose wrinkled, fur standing in defense. It was one wolf, but she feared it may be a scout for that pack that tried to raid her home. So hopping over the row of stones she put her nose to the ground and began to fallow it, wanting to see where it leaded and if this wolf was a scout or not. She moved slow, not wanting to loose the trail and fallowed it into old pack territory of Wolfpaw lake. She continued forward until her eyes caught a figure up ahead, walking contently. Her nose wrinkled again knowing that this was the owner of the trail she was fallowing.

"Hey you! Stop right there!" she barked, tone slightly defensive as she ran to close the distance. She needed to find out why this male's scents were at their borders.

Though Diarmuid had secretly been slightly irritated at being denied a place in Celestial, he hadn't shown it. If he wasn't going to be allowed to live in the same pack as Domari and Alarik, at least he could hang out near the borders. Not to cross them, though Regulus had offered him visiting rights so long as he gave a call when he was heading over, but merely to keep an eye on things. He wasn't quite sure what he thought of the pack overall yet -- it seemed decent, and Regulus seemed a respectable and capable leader, but he knew he couldn't tell everything by that quick encounter with him, either.

He caught wind of someone trailing after him before she arrived. It was a Celestian, by scent, and not anyone he was familiar with. He ignored it while he wandered near the lakeside, a decent distance away. He'd been considering a quick swim, both to quench his thirst and clean off his slightly dirty coat from a hunt earlier, but it seemed her presence would delay him slightly. The sound of approaching footsteps came before her voice, and when she spoke up her voice was loud and almost accusatory.

A rare sparkle of amusement shone in his crimson eyes, though his face betrayed nothing but seriousness as he wheeled around and let her close the distance between them. "Do you always issue orders to strangers?" Diarmuid asked, his voice gruff, but not threatening. He raised a single brow as he eyed her, taking a long stride closer to her. She was a fair bit smaller than he was, rather average if he had to assess her build, and her cerulean eyes reminded him abruptly of someone from his past - someone he missed dearly. His heart skipped a beat for a second, though he stood his ground. "And, if you do, do they normally listen?" Diarmuid had stopped, though more out of curiosity than the need to fuel her.. whatever she was doing here.

The male had stopped and she closed the distance between the two, stopping with just enough personal space between the two of them. She stopped and looked him over taking in his coat, his scars, and his eyes. He was bigger then her, but Ella didn't back down. He looked like a threatening figure, but that didn't mean anything. Now that she was closer she could take in his scent more and did so. Her keen nose taking in his musky scent. She was perhaps overreacting, but she had all the right to after a pack tried to raid her home. This male had no pack scent on, no scent similar to Talis' so she couldn't see why he would be a threat. Though if he wasn't a threat it made her curious as to why he was hanging around the pack.

He took a long stride closer to her, though he still didn't seem to be a threat, nor did he challenge her at all. Realizing this she managed to calm herself. Her eyes looked to his own for a moment before her mind drifted onto his words. No she didn't normally issue orders, but she felt someone should at least find out why he was hanging around. Little did she know he had already had interactions with Regulus and had been welcomed into pack lands to visit whenever.

"No normally I do not, but this case is a bit different. Why is your scent lingering around our borders?" she asked her tone calmer and more curious then anything.

She was sure with his size the male would easily be able to outshine her in a fight and really she wasn't looking for one, answers were the only thing she was looking for. While she waited on the answer her eyes studied the scars on his face, wondering how he had gotten them. Was it a heroic story? Was it a story of deception? She focused back on his eyes, her own bright with curiosity.

It was easy to sense her protectiveness, brimming over into her light blue stare as she assessed him, surely looking for some explanation. His scent was all over the lands surrounding Celestial, and he had made no secret to hide his presence there. Though considerably smaller than him, she seemed to stand taller than she normally might, obviously not afraid of him - or if she was, she certainly didn't show it. It was hard to keep a slight glimmer of amusement from bubbling over through his normally stoic crimson stare, though his lips were pursed as she spoke up again.

It took her a moment to relax, just slightly, upon realizing he was no threat. At least, that was what she thought; he really wasn't, but it wasn't in her best interest to let her guard down completely either, and he was glad she didn't. "I see," he drawled simply at her explanation. Only then did the briefest hint of a smile touch his lips, just barely twitching at the corners of his mouth before fading as quickly as it had appeared.

"I happen to have an interest in the well-being of two members of your pack." This woman's scent was distinctly similar to Regulus', so it was a provable assumption that she was a member of Celestial. "Seems your pack is too full to take in someone like me." His voice betrayed nothing about his own feelings on the subject - he was well-qualified and could easily take the place of someone less useful, but that wasn't his say. "So instead, I've been watching from the sidelines. Your alpha is well aware." He didn't intend to hide what he'd been doing, and though he tended to be more discrete about his activities, he found no reason to now that the leader of Celestial knew, and clearly approved. He raised a silent, questioning brow to Acapella and wondered how she might react.
