More than anyone else in the entire world Tyranis wanted to speak to his brother. They had so much to catch up on and of course Cloud would need to be made aware of his duties as Master Sergeant. The Lightning Bolt ran from his cave on the mountain to the freshly claimed wolves, where undoubtedly the greatest hunter to ever live could be found. He gave a gleeful cry for his brother and waited anxiously, uttering soft growls of excitement and flicking his tail. He couldn’t wait to hear what Cloud had to say now that he had done it- actually kept his word and made a pack they could both grow in.

He sat, running his tongue over his nose with excitement. The run had hardly bothered him, he was after all still young, and yet now he found his heart pounding and his tongue lulling from the side of his mouth as he waited every inch of him excited and ecstatic rather than his usual gloomy self.

11-15-2017, 01:52 AM (This post was last modified: 11-15-2017, 01:52 AM by Cloudburst.)

He'd been watching a rabbit dig itself a den, presumably trying to make itself a shelter for the upcoming winter season. He licked his lips for a moment as he thought about tackling it. He wasn't sure what other kinds of prey lived here yet, but he'd find out soon enough. Just as he was about to take charge, his heard his brothers voice not too far away, which in turn made him turn his head a little too fast and thus rustling the leaves around him. Cursing himself, he turned again to watch the rabbit begin to flee, and all instincts screamed at him to give chase, so he did. He was sure his brother wouldn't mind waiting a few more minutes, Cloud had a lot of practice hunting since he had left Abaven, and he was glad he had. Otherwise, he was sure he wouldn't have survived very long after he'd left his former pack.

The dual toned male pounded across the ground after the rabbit, watching it carefully as it zig zagged ahead of him. He had hunted plenty of rabbits before, and found that chasing them in that same pattern tired him out faster. Snow kicked up behind him as he sprinted forward, keeping himself parallel and right behind the rabbit. His breathing remained even, the male pacing himself as he so often did from his previous hunts, a tactic he learned to make him a more effective hunter. He had worked on his stamina and speed, the youth preferring a sprinters approach for shorter distance, though it depended on how far he was travelling and what he was hunting.

When the rabbit ducked beneath a shrub and he didn't hear anything come out from the other side, he only assumed that it stopped there to try and hide. Big mistake! Teeth flashing in a smirk, he barreled towards the shrub, the male snarling and barking to scare the rabbit out. The moment he saw rustling, he leaped over the shrub and spotted it trying to dart out of its hiding spot. Large paws landed squarely on the creatures hind end, head darting forward while the rest of his body followed suit. The rabbit squealed and struggled beneath him, but he had it pinned pretty good. Now the question was...to kill, or not to kill? You could always give it to your brother as a gift...or keep it as a pet...maybe rip its limbs off one by one... His ears pinned to his head, eyes narrowing. It was that voice again...he hadn't heard it since the porcupine incident, and as he stared at the rabbit he couldn't decide what to do. He somewhat tried to ignore the voice in his head, and decided that giving it to his brother was the better option. His teeth closed roughly upon its ears, trying not to puncture its delicate audits but he figured that since the rabbit was still alive and struggling, it'd be impossible not to. Oh well, he was sure Ty would like it either way.

He headed towards where his brother had called him, head lifted proudly as he sauntered towards him with his prize. His brother soon came into view, and with canines holding firmly onto the rabbits ears, he greeted his brother, "Hey Ty, 'ook wha' a got fo' you!" He beamed, careful to not trip over the rabbits flailing legs.

He saw his brother approaching from a distance holding the squirming thing in his jaws and began to laugh. If Aranea was the only one to see him vulnerable Cloud was most definitely the only one to see him happy. “That’s a sign of a real hunter.” He said proudly. “I just end up ripping them to bits but you managed to get it here in one piece and still breathing.” He said and approached his brother to bump their shoulders together. “You eat first, it’s yours, it’s only fair.” He said in an earnest attempt to raise his brother’s confidence, and then all at once realized he and his brother hadn’t properly reunited.

“Or…” He said tentatively. “We could let it go and start the summer fox hunt early...The winter bunny hunt maybe, Wreckage brothers only.” He said with a wolfish grin, his tail raised in a playful curl as he waited for his brother’s response.

Ears twitched when his brother laughed, complimenting him on his skill. Cloud couldn't help but to grin, earning a sharp squeal and kick to his chest from the rabbit. Oops. His teeth had punctured it's ears after all, oh well. He wasn't too concerned, it was going to get eaten anyway. He would roughly drop the rabbit on its back and hold it down with his paws before it got the chance to turn over. He listened to his brothers idea, tail wagging against the ground. "Hey, y'know that sounds like a great idea! This guy has got some spunk in him, and you could use the exercise,"

He flashed a sly grin at Ty, "Y'know, before you get fat sittin' around on that throne of yours, heh." He teased. He doubted his brother would ever get fat, after all, Ty was just as active as he was! He was excited at the idea of the pair chasing down this rabbit for fun, even though it wouldn't be fun for the rabbit in the slightest...but hey, he'd do anything for some brotherly bonding time.

“Please, the last thing I want is to be a dumb fat king like Bass.” He said with a touch of spiteful arrogance. He wasn’t actually sure if Bass had been fat; it had been so long ago that the image of the man he had known in his puphood had warped, flipping between a cantankerous old man to a bumbling fat oaf.

“On my mark!” He said, bowing low and flicking his tail playfully. His legs were longer than Cloud’s but Cloud had the advantage of experience on his side. Well, that and of course Tyrani would let him win, no matter the case. He would herd the rabbit, snap at its legs, but the deathblow would be all Cloud’s. “One…” He said, digging his claws into the earth, ready to kick off at any moment. “Two…” His eyes narrowed, and he pinned his ears back, his lip raising to show off his pearly white fangs

”THREE!”

He couldn't help but to laugh at his brother's response, though he was highly curious as to why he talked about Bass like that. He knew they had their misgivings about the old man for having cared more about the sisters that decided to get themselves lost, and he knew that Bass had gone out of his way supposedly look for them. But of course, when Cloud disappeared, nobody had bothered to come and look for him, least of all the alpha that claimed family was important. He wondered what had happened while he was away, and would make a note to pester Ty about it later.

He didn't have much longer to think about it before Ty began his count down, and immediately Cloud would get into position. He was still holding the rabbit down, but he would let it go on the count of three. As his brother counted down, Cloud would fall into his natural hunters stance, body low to the ground, his ears pinned, tail wagging and his head low. Though he was shorter than Ty, he knew all the trails and obstacles of their home. Glancing for a moment at his brother, he released the rabbit at "two" and watched it race off. The moment Ty said three, he shot off, kicking snow up behind him.
