Bumbling buzzing bee
He slid his way slowly across the ice, his butt meeting the ice almost constantly. How the hell his pa did this shit he would never understand. It took him what felt like hours just to make it back to a solid piece of land. His stomach was on empty and he had no deer to show for his efforts. This was beginning to look like the worst day ever.
He let himself crumple in the snow. His baby fat cushioned him well and surrounded his body, making a deep depression in the snow. "So fucking hungry..... I could eat a whole buffalo right now...." His whine was low and deep as he layed there. What he wouldn't give right now for someone to con out of their meal. Easy food was always the best food.

The vixen stalked through the snow silently, she didn’t know why she had come back all the way up this way. Maybe she had hoped to run into her uncle again, her grief having turned to a seething roiling anger and a part of her wanted, needed, someone to pay for it. Instead of Raphael though a different scent reached her. Mammon curled her lips up as the familiar stench assaulted her senses. Still a part of her was glad to know he was alright and had finally joined them. A small part of her feared she’d find her brother’s corpse among the snow, but no she had never known a wolf to smell worse than a corpse aside from her brother so there was no denying he still had to be alive. The scent of blood and a fresh kill also reached her but it was coming from a slightly different direction than her brother and she casually wondered if her brother had just had his fill- "So fucking hungry..... I could eat a whole buffalo right now...." Came a familiar whine and the girl rolled her eyes. Mammon approached her brother, not for the first time thinking how pathetic he truly was. “Then get your fat ass up.” She snapped, nudging her brother’s rotund form with a forepaw. “Someone else just made a kill not far from here, but you’ll only be able to filch it if you stop being such a baby.” She then moved away from her brother, both to help clear his frankly disgusting scent from her nose but also to see if could tell where the blood smell from earlier had come from. A tree on the edge of the lake, further down it’s shore it seemed. She couldn’t make out any figures but that seemed a likely place. “You got enough energy to drag yourself to that tree over there?” She called back over her shoulder. “Leaving the talking to me, all you gotta do is be your normal hungry, pathetic self.” The girl began a slow, trudging walk towards the tree. She paused for a second and looking back at her brother managed a small smile. “I did miss you Bee… It’s nice to know you’re alive.” That would be the only nicety he’d get out of her right now though as she placed a desperate expression on her face and continued her strained walk towards the tree. It didn't take more than a moment for Mammon to show up, her usual attitude in tow. He was probably one of the most tolerant of it after Belphegor, whom he had been travelling with for a bit but had lost shortly after he had arrived in this land. Her attitude earned her a small huff of breath and him rolling into a sit. he was too hungry to argue. Of course he had never really argued a day in his life. He knew he would easily sit on anyone and crush them, but fighting just wasn't for him. He much preferred just letting his siblings think him a big dumb oaf, after all they'd easily do the work of getting him a meal if he did. She said something about a kill being made near them and his ears shot forward. His nose was thrust upward as he took in the scents on the wind. She was right. Hints of blood and food intertwining with the scent of female were there. She was eager to rob the soul. He stood up quickly. He was quick to nod eagerly to Mammon before he started towards where she directed. He was quick with the face he knew best, the starving puppy face. His begging face. The face he knew their father hated because he was never able to say no. Her quick nicety was what stopped him for all of a few seconds. Mammon and nice didn't usually belong in the same sentence. It was nice to know though that she had missed him. "Nice to know someone missed me, hopefully soon Bels forgives me for filching his food and comes back though. I miss having someone to count on all the time...." Of course he didn't know anything about Bel being dead. He did know Bel was pretty irate with him the last time he saw him though. He didn't get it though, all he did was take Bels food and make his slothish brother have to hunt again. He did his best to stay behind Mammon though. He knew they didn't like his scent and he did his best to keep it out of her nose. When he saw the tree there was no doubt in his mind that there was food. It was time to try his usual start to getting food. Starving uppy eyes were on the female and he sat a respectable distance away. His stomach growled as if on cue. They had two whole deer, there was no way in hell they were going to finish all tha food and he was just fine to be clean up crew. That or take it once she hid it as he had Bel's food all too often. Mammon was free to do all the talking to get the food for them at this point. He and Belphegor fighting was an oddity and right now he wished his brother was here to at least get something to eat. They were usually super close and considered the most tolerable pair out there. His eyes set on the woman, as pitifully as he could manage. |
