She was worn out, exhausted. Medusa had not rested much over the past few days, too consumed by the labor of her travels and duties to even think of such a thing. Today she found herself resting in the caves, not quite to her new home but too tired to bother arriving there. Instead she had found the best shelter possible, resting her weary body inside. Her wounds were not healing as fast due to the diligence, open and sore and probably in need of attention that she could not provide due to the position of her injuries. All the travel, all the stress, it left her very much tired.

She had not had the role for very long, and yet she found herself tired of it already. Medusa was not going to give it up, of course, but she much preferred a care-free life where she could flirt and fuck and not give a damn. Now, however, she?d brought herself into the world of war and alliances. It was much more stressful, much less fun, but if she wanted to build the best world possible for her dear Jupiter it was entirely necessary. Perhaps, once she had a few more members and a more secure foot in this entire ordeal, she would manage to get away for a little while. Maybe she?d find a few suitable members and be able to fuck away the stress and exhaustion. Oh, she couldn?t wait. But it was much too early for her to think of such things, and thus she was currently only concerned with his heavy her body felt.
She rested her head upon her paws, but sleep would not come to her. Too many things lay on her mind the moment, and it was heavily frustrating. If she could not sleep she would only be weak; what was she to do?

Caesar was really starting to hate the north. Having been stuck in it for some time, the little creature had had to deal with the cold and? well, the cold. It was snowing hard, likely trying for a blizzard. The savage had clung to the mountains in some poor attempt to find solace in the landmarks, but he soon found that the mountains were frightening too. Scaling the rocky sides, the hellion stumbled across the yawning opening in the highland. He halted immediately where he stood, the snow beating against his back and speckling ebony fur with contrasting white. Faint winds tugged at his patchy pelt, all aspects of the weather commanding him to take shelter. But he could not. Would not. The imp kept a good distance between himself and the cave mouth, staring in with wide and horrified eyes. The light of day that poured down from the empty gray sky could only stretch so far in, and after that, cruel darkness devoured all. Anxiety beginning to grasp at his throat as his mind fed him cruel ideas, his toes gripping at the ground. If he got any closer, he was sure the cave would reach out and steal him in forever again. Caves were terrible things ? Hell?s mazes. You could never even be sure that there was a way out on the other side. You just went in and didn?t come back. Caesar remembered coming back out, but that had been lucky. He wouldn?t take the risk again. A particularly strong gust of wind blew at his back, not strong enough to physically push him, but enough to surprise and make him step forwards a little. Was everything trying to push him back again now?! His heart raced as terror seeped into his veins. Ears folded back and he crumbled to the snow covered ground, tucking his head between his paws before screaming. He couldn?t go in the cave, but he couldn?t go back into the storming nothingness of the north. He was horrified and stuck.
