He wasn't exactly sure what had happened, but he hated what he was feeling now. He had watched his brother leave with one of his kids, and all he could do was watch his brother walk away until he disappeared into the distance. Ty hadn't really given him an explanation, just that he had to leave. His heart broke, what were they going to do now? He didn't feel comfortable taking over the pack...he wasn't experienced enough. Was that maybe why Ty had left? Did he feel like maybe it was too much or that he couldn't handle it anymore? The pack hadn't been here for very long, and just when it seemed they were going to start getting things together and getting their members into the ranks they desired, it all had come crumbling down.

Ears flattened against his skull as he battled with the feeling in his chest. He doubted anyone else knew, and he figured it was up to him to let everyone else know...how could he? What was he supposed to say? Dauntless was disbanding because his brother had left with little to no explanation? Sighing, he turned away and headed back into the forest. Feelings of insecurity and hurt gripping his heart.

"SPEAK"

She had been comfortable resting in her cave den, curled among her pelts to remain warm and cosy. She had begun to realize she was slowing down a bit, but thankfully her slim form left it less likely that she would gain the ache of arthritis as she continued to age. She was finding though that the cold of the north was still getting to her. It must have been because there had been to many years spent in warmer climates. Or perhaps her age was not helping the matter either. Stirring from her sleep the thin women got up from her cosy spot and headed towards the entrance of her den. There was times she questioned her decision to fallow Ty and to leave Corentine behind. Leaving helped her rejoin with Cloud which was a plus, but both boys were vary busy with their roles in the pack. She felt like a bother to take much of their time when they had so much to do. She didn't stay to long at the entrance of her den, feeling the chill of the cooler air coarse through her fur. Moving would help to warm her up, so she headed away from her den to wander into the woods. Maybe she could find something to occupy her time until she grew weary again. "Talk" & Think

With his mind occupied with thoughts of what they were supposed to do now, Cloud wasn't aware that his mother was nearby. It wasn't until he tripped over his own feet that he finally pulled out of his momentary daze and realized she was nearby. Ears pinning tightly against his head, he wasn't sure what to do. Did he approach her? They hadn't really had a real conversation since Dauntless had been founded, the boy feared that his mother hated him for leaving Abaven. Even more so, what if she blamed him for the pack falling? Would she get mad? Would she blame them for making her leave Abaven? Honestly, he had no idea that she had left of her own free will, but now maybe she would regret it...sighing, he decided to suck it up and face it. If she hated him, then at least he'd have closure knowing that. Slowly approaching his aging mom, he lowered his head and came to a stop a foot or so away. Surely she knew he was here, his scent wasn't hard to miss. "Mom I...I need to talk to you about something..." He was the only one that knew, and he wasn't sure how he was going to break the news to her. He hated the fact that their first real conversation was going to start with bad news... Her pace was steady as she moved over the cold terrain of the North. Her light form moved with ease and her movements fluid. By now she was used to the pack lands, familiar with as much of the lands as she possibly could. She preferred to remain close to the mile high woods just because it was a bit more safer to navigate then the other claimed territory. She could move faster and easier through the woods and her confidence in the place was much greater. She had thought she was alone, he was downwind from her and the morning was quiet. She hadn't even heard his approach. She had stopped to listen to the surrounding area. As Cloud approached the wind shifted carrying his scent to her. When his scent reached her she smiled and her tail began to wag. Little did she realize he was the bearer of bad news, but no matter she would still be glad to see him. Her ears perked as he spoke, though she found his tone to be a little worrying. She tried to push it back, just glad for once that he wanted to talk to her. She moved forward seeking to nuzzle in neck in greeting. "Of course Cloud what do you need to talk about," she asked. "Talk" & Think
