He started off really early from home, looking to get out and get some hunting done today. He needed the meat, the bones, and the pelt. So he set off towards the east at a spot close to the springs. From the springs it had looked like decent hunting grounds and today he was going to find out if it indeed was or not. If he ended up not having luck today he would just travel to another spot tomorrow. He knew heading for bigger game by himself was risky, but this years fawns should still be small enough to take on his own. Along the way he fell in line with a small herd of deer that had passed through the night before, the trail was still fresh enough that he felt he could catch up to them.
Picking up the trail he pursues, eager to catch up to the small group and find out if they had any fawns. It didn't take him long to catch up, they had bedded down for the night ans he was early enough that they were still sleeping. His eyes looked around, taking in each deer and looking for the best one to take down
