It was rare indeed for Tornach to leave his little farm on the range for very long, but it had been... well, at least a year now, since he'd last seen any of his family. That hadn't exactly been a social occasion anyway, since it consisted of Regulus bringing him an injured rape victim in need of help. As he always did when he exercised his healing knowledge, Tornach felt a sense of responsibility for his patient, and having had no word of her in the time since then had him... uneasy. Same with not hearing from his family in so long. Too often long absences meant that something new and terrible had happened to his family in the interim.

So, leaving Aiden to guard the herds (with the proper application of beak and talons she could likely drive most any predator off an attempt at stealing one of his tame-ish prey beasts) he set off at a brisk travel pace for the west. Travelling without the falcon scouting overhead felt odd, but her presence was needed more at home than with him.

So he was taken completely by surprise when he came across a wall of stacked stone that he was very certain hadn't been here when he'd been growing up. He stopped to sniff and paw at it curiously. Interesting - he wondered if Regulus had based it on his own less permanent attempts at fencing, or if he had found the idea elsewhere. And what else could be built of stacked stones? Was there some way of making them stick together better to build a more sturdy structure? He would need to experiment with this idea more on his own. For now, though, he had visiting to do.

Regulus had told him previously that he need not worry about stopping at the border, but he wasn't going to take the risk of a new member of the pack coming upon him unexpectedly, or someone not recognizing him after so long away. After all, he didn't exactly resemble Regulus in any way except his height and eyes, and there were a lot of tall, blue eyed wolves out there who weren't Adravendis. He certainly didn't resemble small, albino Baine despite being her littermate, either, and he wasn't sure what his three younger siblings had grown to look like. So he lifted his muzzle and sang out for his brother or any other member of his family to announce his presence there.

Aurielle Adravendi

She’d turned a year old at last, and she could feel the freedom of beyond the wall beckoning. However, she was in a position where she could easily ignore it. With so few left in the pack, and her mother and brother missing, she was helping her father patrol well before the season had even turned. He certainly needed the help to take the stress off his shoulders.

She was closest when she heard the unfamiliar voice calling for her brother – or any of the family, for that matter – and she picked up her pace, veering up one of the ramps to trot nimbly along the top of the wall, having learned long ago that she preferred starting from up high to see who she’d meet before she met them.

He was as tall as her father, and his deep sapphire eyes were the same. But it was his markings that truly told her who he was. Her father had described each of his siblings to her in detail, remembering each well despite how long it had been since he’d seen many of them.

She leapt from the wall a few feet from the passage her Uncle had called from and padded into sight, privately wondering if he’d believe she was his niece, considering the mane and teeth.

But she steeled herself and offered a gentle smile, tail waving bannerlike behind her as she greeted, "Dia duit, Uncail Tornach."

A mental pause occurred in the back of her mind as she realized he probably had no idea his brother had chosen a mate and had a litter in the past year or so. Despite her grandmother’s wishes, the family hadn’t remained closely knit.

At first glance, Aurielle's coat is pure white.. Her fur has an iridescent quality (like moonstones) where the fur shimmers different colors under various angles of light: in this case, the colors shown by rainbow moonstones. Not one hair on her hide is a solid unnatural color, but, ya know, it's really hard to convey that in still art :P
Aurielle's English is heavily laden with an Irish, Swedish mixed accent.
Her family is allowed to crash all her threads, Private and Open.
As of Autumn Year 14, Aurielle glows with a bright blue-white bio-luminescence in her fur, and bears a marking over her left eye - see profile and reference.

He was headed back through the Moor, fawn in his jaws after another successful hunt. As soon as he was done taking it to the alcove he was going to do another round on the borders. He didn't get to far before a howl rang out through the moor, making him stop and look in that direction. It was calling for his family, including himself. His tail gently wagged, he had never spent much time with Torn, but there was one other time he came to the border's calling for the family. He had always wanted to spend time with his older siblings, Regulus was the only one he had seen daily. So to him this made him excited to hear Torn calling the family to the border.

He turned his direction and quickly headed that way, his tail gently wagging with each step. He was a bit slow because of still carrying the large fawn with him, but he was reluctant to leave his kill so far from the alcove, so he would simply take it with him. When he was closing in he could hear his Niece's voice and it made him smile. He was sure Torn was unaware of the changes around here and the fact he now had another Niece. So for her to be the first to meet him, it may have surprised him a bit.

The two came into view and he got closer before dropping the fawn at his feet and grinning at his older brother.

"Welcome back Torn!" he greeted, his tail wagging.

Regulus Anatolii Adravendi

He’d been investigating the ring of standing stones at the heart of the Moor when he heard his brother’s voice. Now that was a rare occasion. He cocked his head, glancing for the sky. It didn’t seem to be falling or clouding over, and no blue moon appeared. He gave a brief chuckled as he turned, trotting with the by now familiar rear-hopping gait toward the wall.

He slowed, noting that Aurielle and Laisren had already arrived as he slid out of the mist, giving Tornach a grin as he moved forward easily to bump his head into his middle-brother’s shoulder by way of affectionate greeting.

His tail waved easily behind him, continuing to sweep the ground as his haunches dropped to the ground. “I see you’ve met Aurielle…” I just wish you could have met Solveiga and Aramis, too… The wish was unspoken, but a hint of wistfulness lingered on the end of his statement as he took in his brother’s appearance with interest, soaking in the details. “You look well”

His voice carried a wealth of pleasure at the observation, an easy grin forming on his face.

When the soft white figure padded into view and spoke, for a brief moment Tornach was entirely too startled to be called "uncail" to notice the faint strange quality to the yearling's voice. "Uncail? Who - " His blue eyes widened as he finally took in the irridesent nature of her "white" coat, the length of that strange mane and tail, the elongated fangs that had caused that faint strangeness to her speech. Which one of his siblings birth...? Ah, of course. Regulus. Which one of them already bore a strange mutation in the form of an unnatural color? Unless one of his sisters...?

Another wolf appeared, calling out cheerily to him. Another wolf who was as good as a stranger to him - it took Tor a long moment to remember the little balls of fluff that his younger siblings had been when he'd last seen them. But which one? "Laisren?" he guessed weakly.

And finally out of the mist came a familiar - albeit just as unusual looking as the day he'd been born - face. "Regulus," he returned the greeting with something akin to relief. "It's good to see everyone again. I've missed out on so much news - apparently more than I thought. I'm an uncle?" But, ever the healer and so used to keeping a sharp eye on his stock for just this thing, his brain suddenly registered what his eyes had seen as his brother walked up to them. "What happened to your leg?" He turned a concerned gaze to his brother. What had he missed? Why had no one told him so much had happened?
