The Golden Floor

Song was placed in front of the carcass of a half eaten deer, her paws placed neatly around what used to be its leg. Her jaws were wrapped around the bones as her teeth lazily ground the hard material. She was mostly full, now she was just enjoying the action of chewing bone. The evening was settling in and she had started to see wolves coming in to take a den for a bit of sleep. Cherokee had gorged himself so she was quite sure her mate was sleeping by that time. Her tail thumped the ground in happiness as her bicolored eyes observed the changes that happened when transitioning to night. Lightning bugs lit the beautiful trees before the moon thought it time to reveal herself. Song let a soft sigh escaped her lips as she relaxed and enjoyed the beauty.
