Hearing Zinnia's call ring out across the Risen Empire's lands instantly caught his attention. Though he wasn't inclined to ignore it anyway, he'd be foolish to not act on her call after the conversation he'd just recently had with Malleus. He had a role to play in the Abraxas family, and he intended to fulfill it as best as he could. The faint nervousness (not that he'd ever admit that out loud) that he felt in his stomach around Zinnia had only been exacerbated by that talk, and if he'd been uncertain about talking to her now, well.. that was an entirely different story.
As nonchalant as he could muster he headed in the direction of her call, where she was hunting under the cover of aspen trees. His pace was slow and careful, and the scent of a group of tapir touched his nose as he neared her. Wondering if anyone else would come to join her, Typhon was quite pleasantly surprised when she was still alone. "Zinn," he greeted her quietly and with a dip of his head as he drew closer, keeping his voice now. Though unsure how far the prey were from them, he wasn't interested in startling them and ruining a perfectly good hunt. "Lovely day for a hunt," he added as a conversational afterthought.

Watch Me Take That Flicker To Flame
Ashiel was resting in the garden when he heard Zinnia's call. Mæva was now 3 months old and that was old enough to start moving and wandering all over the place. She was surprisingly quick for her short, stubby legs. He had no idea how Malleus and Serene managed to wrangle five of the little squirts. Thankfully the girl was resting. Ashiel stretched and after leaving the girl to Shilah he headed in the direction of the call. It was time for him to get up anyway and get his body warmed up for his next patrol.
When he saw Zinnia he dipped his head in greeting. "Hello Zinnia, what is it you've found?" He also turned to greet Typhon. "Good to see you Typhon, I hope you are well."

The brief moment Typhon hoped they might spend alone together was short-lived. Ashiel had heard her call as well and loped toward them, greeting them both. The thought of hunting alone with her had been a selfish hope, and though he felt a brief spark of disappointment he would push those thoughts aside and turn to face his approaching kin. Typhon flashed him a genuine smile, dipping his head respectfully. "Greetings, Ashiel," he spoke, though turned his attention back to Zinnia when she spoke up again.
She'd scented a group of tapir up ahead. Both were older, and one had a limp. The latter would be easier to pick off, perhaps a job for just one of them, while the other might be trickier. "What's the plan? One of us go after the limping one while the other focus on the healthier, faster one?" Typhon asked curiously, glancing to Ashiel as well for comment if he had any insight into what they ought to do.
