Archon found himself drawn to these shrines again and again. Obi often joined him on these excursions. Both were mesmerized by the feel the shrine gave off and the distinct qualities of the water. The two made their way towards the pool. Obi found the area pleasant due to its amount of trees and cover he could find. Being a primate came with its perks, but long distance running was not one of them.
When Archon scented another wolf, he motioned for Obi and the monkey scaled a nearby tree. Obi could make his way around by treetop occasionally, but some areas were easier than others. Archon approached the springs without him.
"Are you drawn to the waters too?" Archon asked when he saw the woman. He stood a little ways back, simply making his presence known.

The woman looked up at Archon, surprise clear on her face. It was a typical reaction for a mortal and the corners of Archon's maw turned upwards in amusement. Although the woman wasn't tiny, her appearance was light and fluffy- innocent looking. Although maybe he had just spent too much time in Abaven and he was growing soft to mortals with earthy tones in their fur.
Archon shook his head slightly, bringing him back to focus. The woman had asked a question.
"I believe God resides often in this place," Archon said, his eyes focused somewhere distant. "His power and wonder can alter even this realm amidst mortals."
Archon fell silent for a moment before bringing his eyes to meet the woman's own.
"My name is Archon Abraxas, a fallen angel of God," he rumbled calmly. "And what does one call you?"

Treat!
Archon gets a treat!
What's that? As Obi perches in a tree, the primate finds a blue jay's cache of shinies there. Most of it is just junk, but hidden among the usual refuse are a few genuinely valuable items. Good find, Obi Mon Kinobi! Archon earns 16 gems!

The woman gave her name without much argument. Archon always found it bothersome when wolves acted all protective over their names.
"Nice to meet you, Adeline," Archon replied with a slow nod of his head. She asked what a Fallen Angel was and Archon's eyes lit up. He silently thanked God for the opportunity to educate before speaking.
"A Fallen Angel," Archon began, touching a paw with the glimmering surface of the water. "Is one that has descended from God. He, The Fallen God, is our ancestor. We humble ourselves, knowing his true greatness and power. We are his Angels, mighty great and, in a sense, godly in ourselves- in his mortal image."
Archon chuckled lightly, "Perhaps I am getting ahead of myself. The Fallen God was forced out by many other lesser gods. Their combined strength alone aided them in forcing him from his throne. As he fell to the mortal plane- here- he took on the form of a wolf. We Fallen Angels are both his mortal and spiritual descendants. His power flows through us and we will join him after we shed our mortal forms one day."
Archon looked a little apologetically towards Adeline. "I hope that I am making sense?"

The woman listened politely as Archon went on about God. He could- at least probably- speak about God until he was blue in the face, but he tried to spare others from his ramblings. When he finished, Adeline had only one question. She asked about the lineage of the Fallen Angels. Archon smiled warmly, for her consideration into the matter was a good sign.
"The Fallen Angels," Archon said slowly, "can be descendants in more than just body. If they are dedicated to him and contribute to the family then they will, in time, also become a part of his lineage. With that, they also become a Fallen Angel."
Archon's voice was level and deep, like distant thunder. He kept himself soft, open to Adeline as he explained. He was, after all, an angel.

The woman took a moment to collect her thoughts and Archon waited patiently. Eventually she asked if his group had room for one more. His smile broadened. Yes, they had room for many, many more.
"Absolutely," Archon said. "There is much to learn about God- about life. It is mysterious and yet, I never cease to be amazed by what works God does around us every day."
He looked around for a moment. Every time he had been drawn to these lands, fortune had graced him. It was like God was actively calling him here.
"I think these lands are one of the places God likes to reside in," He said, bringing his attention back to Adeline. "That is why one day, we will build a church here. A home for us to praise and worship God and feel his presence alongside us."

The woman listened carefully to his words, everything seeming to click into place. Archon was pleased that she seemed to be so interested and could see some potential in her. She seemed soft, but it was appealing. Perhaps Circe could teach her how to use it to her advantage.
Drawing her attention back to the lands, Adeline asked about the church and how to worship God.
"I am hoping to have my companion help me to build a structure of rigid, dried mud... rocks that will stack to form a large protective barrier. As for how to worship him..."
Archon thought for a moment. He didn't want to scare the girl by talking about sacrifices just yet.
"There are... many ways. Simply speaking his name to others is even one way. Spreading knowledge about him is something many newer followers do. In time, they can learn what God wants for them."

He liked the sort of attention the woman continued to give, for he had a strong desire to teach and to spread the name of God. She asked where they would live for now and Archon thought for a bit. Although he felt called to build his church here, they would not claim it- no. No one ought to claim a church- a place of God.
Archon shook his head lightly, "We may settle from time to time, but by moving around, we may be able to reach more people and bring them to God," he said. "For now, we settle in the East. By a small area where my companion and I can practice our craft- if you would like to help with that, I would be pleased to have your assistance."
